The number of confirmed deaths all over Equestria has increased more than even because of this unknown virus. The government on the other hand has done nothin' except to declare a state of emergency.

We saw hundreds or maybe thousands of dead bodies all over the town as me and my brother left Canterlot a year ago, and let me tell ya, it's really traumatizing and horrific just glancing at 'em.

This chaos eventually started a year ago when people started to break out around our local Canterlot hospital which made those called "infected" spread and infect everyone in the streets.

But what's worse is when the World health organization showed that the latest vaccination for a cure failed miserably and have to start back to square one.

Our land wasn't the only one affected, Manehattan has now been required to quarantine themselves in homes for their own safety.

Now that our present day has been over, me and my team struggled to find some rations or supplies as people will literally risk their lives into getting a can of beans or somethin'.

And ya know what makes it more hard for us to do our goddamn job? It's because a group of armed people called the "Shadowbolts" have been responsible for almost all of the attacks all over our land.

They even have this stupid chant to make more people join their gang:

"You can still rise with us. Remember when your lost in the darkness.. Look for the light. Believe in the shadowbolts."

And yet were are still being haunted by them and its already summer of 2031..

This is Applejack, don't read my goddamn journal.

After I wrote my weekly thoughts into my dusty journal, I heard someone knocking at my door which made me stop writing and just look back.

Whoever's out there just kept knocking repeatedly at mah door even though I told she or her to come in.

"Gosh darnit hold on!" I yelled again after getting up from the chair, walking up to the door afterwards.

But as soon I twisted the door knob open, a weak smile formed in my face as I saw one of the most beautiful angels I know, standing in front of me.

I just giggled and leaned on the door frame, still looking into her diamond eyes. "Mornin' gorgeous, you okay?"

"Im fine thank you very much Darling." My girlfriend giggled after placing both her hands on my shoulders. "How's your morning Applejack?"

"Im fine Rares.. Just writing some stuff in my journal, as usual."

"Well then, you mind if I- you know?" She arched an eyebrow as soon she saw a half filled whiskey bottle in the table.

Without hesitation, I slowly leaned closer to my lover to give her a quick yet passionate kiss on her soft lips. "Wanna drink? Sure, come in."

Rarity then did her usual cute giggles as she slowly walks inside my apartment, placing one of her foot on the wooden chair in front of her in a sexy way.

"Danm I love it when you do that.." I started, walking to her after I closed and locked the door behind me. "Any news? And where the hell where you yesterday Rares?"

"West End district, we had a drop to make."

"We, we have a drop to make but you and the team just left me here to die."

"Aww Darling, you said that you wanted to make some alone time remember?" She replied while placing her arms around me to pull closer to her body. "Are you mad? I was just doing our job.."

"Nah, I ain't mad at ya, Rares. But let me guess, The whole medicine plan went wrong and our client got away with our drug supplies?"

"Nope, the deal was completed and no one got back stabbed nor hurt in the process, you don't have to worry Applejack."

"Oh.. Wait, what is this?" I asked confused when I saw a bruised part on her face. "What is this? Did someone hurt my princess again?!"

'Relax Babe! Its just.. There was these two assholes hitting on me again on my way here, luckily I kicked on of them in their balls and sent them flying out of our camp. "

"Heh.. That's my girl. Hold on." I lastly chuckled before running to the kitchen.

I then grabbed one of my dirty handkerchief and placed some small ice cubes inside from the fridge, running back to my girlfriend after.

Rarity was just casually sitting down on the chair with a soft smile on her face. Even though we both know that the entire world's is ending, we still managed to have fun and spend some time together.

She wasnt like the Rarity that I dated before this outbreak, she seen somethin' really terrifying that traumatized her till this day and it has affected her.

Sure she did became stronger but seeing her all bruised up, bloody, and her body shape has began to be worse in some of our cargo mission is really making me feel bad for my lady. But hey, I know she's strong enough to handle this whole situation.

When she was about to pull me into another hug, I immediately took hold of her chin and placed the cold handkerchief in her bruised mark.

"Here, don't want any bruises on your beautiful face right?"

"Aww my queen, thank you-"

"Who are those assholes, are they gone?" I interrupted, still gently doing a cold compress on her cheeks.

"No Aj, look they were just a couple of nobodies, they don't matter! But what matters is that Feather bangs f*cking sent them."

"Our Feather bangs?"

"Yes, he knows that were after him. So that traitor figures he's gonna get us first."

"That son of a b*tch he's smart.." I growled in slight anger before gently grabbing Rarity's hand and place it on the ice filled handkerchief.

"Applejack No, he's not smart enough  because.. I know where he's hiding!"

"Rarity!" I gasped as I quickly covered my hand on her mouth. "Shhh.. They might hear ya!"

"Oops, sorry Darling but im sure none of his boys are in our territory." My
Girlfriend answered while cupping my cheeks with her other hand.

"But seriously Rare, ya know it?"

"Mhm! That jerk is hiding in an Old warehouse in Area 5. Can't say for how long though."

"Well Im ready to face that jackass now."

"Me too, ready for a fun day outside, babe?" She asked with a smile, reaching out her hand for me to accept.

"Yeah.. Let's go." I agreed after taking her hand, pulling her closer to me.

Since my apartment room was the first door in the corridor, me and Rarity managed to get out of the building fast, only to see our usual streets filled with roaming soldiers.

"Come on, the checkpoint is still open!"

"Hm, we only have a few hours before curfew, we better move fast."

After Rarity walked ahead of me, I just followed her while glancing at my  empty surroundings. Almost all of the windows and doors were boarded up and dozens of soldiers with armed snipers roamed in the building's rooftops.

But after me and Rarity got out of the alleyway, a huge army buss passed by in front of us as soon the town of Appleloosa's speakers started to make a glitch noise.

"attention all Citizens of Appleloosa, you are all required to carry a current ID at all times. Compliance with all city personnel is mandatory."

"Well look at that, Ration line hasn't been opened yet. We must be running low of supplies again." I said in a weak voice after placing my hand on Ratity's shoulder.

"Yeah.. Wait what's happening over there?" Rarity gasped, flicking her finger to point something in the distance.

When I followed her gaze, shivers quickly went down my spine when I saw a soldiers were putting on their boards around a building as a man screaming were heard inside it.

Not long after, 2 men with some' scientific gear pushed the same screaming man outside and dropped him to the ground where the soldiers faced him.

"AHHH HELP ME!!"

"Keep your voice down asshole!" One soldier yelled back after shoving the back of his gun to the man's back.

"ACK!!"

"Woah! What the hell ma-" I nervously growled back while running to the scene. But before I could take a step closer, one of the soldiers pushed me away and pointed its assault rifle at me.

"Applejack!" Rarity gasped, pulling me away afterwards.

"Get away from the scene miss.. Or you'll be next." The man replied.

When I pulled Rarity closer to me for a hug, I slowly faced back the army maksed man, pointing the gun at me "What are you doing to him?"

"He's infected and hid it from all of us, its none of your business miss. Just move along, nothing to see here."

"H-he's right Darling.. We should move."

I just let out a weak sigh before nodding my head in agreement to the soldier. "Fine.. Do what you gotta do partner."

"This man is clear, check the other one inside!"

When I turned my attention back to Rarity, I quickly placed my hand in her ears while giving her a worried look.

"Shh.. Don't scream."

"What do you mean scr- AHHH!" She was cut off when we both heard a gunshot behind us.

"Shh.. They shot the infected man, just keep walkin' sugarcube."

"Danm.. More and more people are getting infected everyday huh?" She asked, gently removing my hands from her ears.

'"Eeyup, which puts our tiny little town into danger."

"Agree, oh look its the check point. Got your ID?"

"No."

"Applejack!"

"Heh Relax Babe I got in on my pocket okay? Its just fun to tease you."

"You didn't changed at all Darling, I hate you but I love you at the same time." She giggled before leaning closer to plant a soft kiss on my cheeks.

"And Ah love ya too Rare. And for the record, I did changed.. After I." I stopped to clear my throat before recalling it. "After I lost Applebloom.."

"Aww Darling.. Your sister is in a better place now okay? She's always watching over you.."

"I-I know sugarcube, I know. Sh*t were here, act cool okay?" I whispered as I normally walked closer to the soldier guarding the south 5 checkpoint.

Now that our town has been very strict since the accident that happened last 3 months, we are now required to bring our IDs in order to get in and out of Appleloosa.

"Let me see your Ids." The guard said, placing his gun aside to face us.

'There ya go." I replied while grabbing Rarity's pass and mine to show the man.

After he looked down to see our IDs, he suddenly grabs his gun with his other free hand which made my instincts swipe in and pushed Ratity to make her hid behind me.

"Woah Relax Cowgirl. What's your business here?"

"We got the day off.. Me and my girlfriend is just gonna visit a friend y' hear?"

"Alright.. Move on through." He agreed, stepping aside after giving us our IDs.

"Thanks sir." Rarity added as I pulled her away to lead her out of the district.

But as soon I took my first step out of the gates-

"B O O M! "

The army truck near us suddenly exploded, creating a huge noise which made me and Rarity scream and duck down.

"Sh*t close the gates!"

"Get outta here cowgirl, take your girl and go!" The soldiers yelled at us as he quickly closed the gate.

Rarity then grabbed my hand and pulled me away from the gate. "What's going on?!"

"Shadowbolts! Fire!" Another man yelled before firing his gun all over the outside district.

"F*cking shoot them!"

"I cant they're too many! Call back ips now!"

I just stood there frozen as my whole body started to tremble in fear. But when I felt Rarity shake me, I returned back to my senses and looked back into her worried eyes.

"LET'S RUN!"
