"Welcome, welcome everyone!" said Tannin into the loudspeaker, "Thank you all for coming today! I believe that everyone knows what time it is!" yelled Tannin enthusiastically. 

Just at that moment, a girl named Willow gasped and fainted. That was what made everyone in this room realize that someone was about to be chosen to be put to their doom. 

Immediately, her close friend Phlox ran to her aid and started giving her CPR.

Willow was always the girl that didn't have a care in the world, until she figured out her terrible luck with family history. Her great-grandmother, grandfather, and her older sister were all outliers. It was a just a coincidence, however, she believes that her family is cursed. She didn't really know her great-grandmother or her grandfather very well, but when her sister became the outlier, in front of her four year old eyes, she kind of lost it. Now she is very anxious and jumpy all the time. I can't believe this is what our government did to her when she was only four years old.

When Willow came to, she was given some water and medicine and then the ceremony began to start.
