Johnathan's POV: To say I was furious was an understatement. I had half a mind to kill her where she stood, in fact, that idea was sounding really good right now, my wolf craved blood. It was like she was insulting not only me, but every single half breed on the earth, including everyone Ander associates with. I growled at her, Ander not being here made it worse, it was like he was giving me permission to do something extreme, but Ander's too nice of a person to let me do that sort of thing. I know he doesn't want me to cause a scene, but there already was one. If I let her get away with this, then others would think it's fine. I said,calmer than before," It doesn't give you the right to treat them differently, they are still children. If you can not be lady like and take a couple of minutes to watch children. Then you have no right to be a noble lady." Lillian shocked said," What do you mean? You can't possibly mean.." I marked her off the list. The list was a list my father made that basically had every ladies name on it. The ones that are crossed out are the women that are married and the ones who are pursuing other men. This is the first time, I am crossing someone out. The crowd watched in shock, now they probably believed that I did this because Lillian was being disrespectful about half breeds, and ignorant about children, and though that was a big reason for it,I mainly did that because she was insulting Ander, like whoever Ander hangs around will have some type of disease making them weak.  I will change the way he's treated. Even if the goddess Luna doesn't agree, though I had this in mind, I was still going to seek her approval. Nigel walked up to me and said," What's the list stand for?" I said," By crossing her off, it states that she has no hope of marrying me. It's what most ladies want, and by her bad example, they know not to never treat half-bloods differently."  Nigel said," N'ul and I were going to go to the dragons' cave, would you show us the way, there? Outcast was showing us before but.." I said," I'll go check on him..I'll meet you two at the gate, in about 10 minutes, okay?" Nigel said," Sounds like I plan, I'll go and find N'ul." I nodded, then left the scene. When I went into the orphanage, it was very quiet. Ander looked to be debating something, then he saw me. His purple eyes light up as he saw me, his hood was down. Probably because no one usually comes in here. He said," Hi, John. You didn't do anything rash, right?" I sighed and said," Maybe a little bit? I crossed her name off the list." Ander's eyes widened in shock," You crossed her name off! Oh,no.. oh, no no no. Do you know what that means?" I said," What?" Ander said," You've never acknowledged the list before! But now that you did, have you actually chosen someone to.."
Ander's POV: I was shook, my heartbeat shuttered, he acknowledged it..Johnathan said," What are you talking about?" I said," Have you chosen someone to marry you?" Johnathan said," What? What made you think that?" I said, nervously," Well, you've never once looked at the list of ladies before. They all want to marry you, so if you're cutting them down, then that only means.." Johnathan said,as he caressed my cheek," I'm not marrying any of them." I said," But...your father, everyone will see it that way. You'll have to choose." I took his hand off my cheek. There was no negotiating this, it was going to happen. I needed to tell him how I felt, before it was too late. It was at the tip of my tongue, but I was scared of rejection. He said,as he made me look at him," Look at me..please, what's wrong." I said,as I leaned into his hand on my cheek," You're going to get married.. and I've loved you for so long, I still do, and I just can't see you getting married to someone."  Johnathan smiled at me and said," I love you, too. Have for a while, now." I said," Your father.." Johnathan said, sternly," Has no say on who I marry." I shook my head, and said," The other sorcerers would be in an uproar, they'd think I casted a spell on you, or something. The ladies would flirt with you and not care about you being with me, no matter what you claimed to say to them. They would not accept it. I would never stand a chance at being a good leader." Johnathan whispered in my ear," You're talented, are great with kids, I've been watching you for a while. You're always there in that tree hiding spot. Watching me with those pretty eyes. Always a shuttering mess, whenever I make you flustered. Aww, look, you're blushing." I tucked my face under his chin, to not be seen. He chuckled and said," We got to go give Nigel and N'ul that tour.." I whimpered as Johnathan separated our embrace. Johnathan said," Come on,  don't look at me like that." I was pouting, so what? I couldn't help it. After all this time of having a crush on him, watching his perfect form from afar, I finally was able to talk to him normally, a goal I seemed to never achieve and now I finally got the courage to tell him, only when finding out that he'll have to marry some noble lady. I knew that this love we shared would not be allowed to last long, yet I still wanted to bask in this innocent love for as long as I could. An embrace to never end. I sighed, as I followed behind Johnathan, praying to an imaginary god to let this love last.
