Surprise!

8 years later

Julia's POV

"Don't yuh have a meeting today at 8?" I ask Jace, watching as he shaves himself.

"Yes I do." He smiles. "But I'm the boss. I'm sure they can wait."

"Don't get too high and mighty. Stay humble." I say, finally being able to catch up my hair in a puff. It was a struggle having 4c hair, I'll tell you that. "Now go to work."

"Alright alright."He says, wiping off his creme. "Your right."

"I know I am." I say, finish playing my last edges. Learning to do my own hair was really helpful, saved me a lot of money.

"How do you feel about the game tonight? I mean, it is a all around the world championship."

"Oh Jace." I pout. "You don't know me, don't you? I'm the captin of the best female football team in the entire world. I think I can handle handle this final."

"So much for being humble." He chuckles before placing his arms around my waist.

"Whatever." I chuckle, smiling when he plunges his lips on mine. His tongue entwines with mine, making me let out a shy moan.

"Alright." I laugh pushing him away. "Go to work."

"Goodbye my love." He smiles, hugging me before leaving.

I sigh in admiration. These past few years with Jace had been absolutely amazing. It was like a dream come true. Living with the love of my life as I watch him grow every single day.

Both of us didn't finish college because I was given a schlorship to play football worldwide. Jace has decided to become the heir to his father's company, helping him. And they work side by side together.

"Hey Julia!" Brook says, hugging me from her booth in the cafe.

"Brook!" I say cheerfully. "How are you?"

"Right now, I'm starving." She sighs, signalling the waitress. I watch as she begins to rub her swollen tummy.

"She's sure making you hungry." I chuckle. "Does Alex know?"

"Duh!" She says, smiling brightly at the waitress. "He was even the one who told me that I was pregnant."

"He really is something." I chuckle before telling the waitress what I wanted.

"Well, he's my husband. I love him." She smiles, drinking her water.

"Hey Brook." I say quietly, fingling with my fingers. "D-Do you think Jace will propose to me?"

I always wanted to ask Jace this question, but I didn't have the guts to do it. He was an amazing man, promising to love me until the end of time. It was my number one wish, to become his officially. To love and cherish him for as long as I live. We were both 27 and I didn't want to waste another minute with him.

"Julia." She says softly. "Of course he will! If I'm going to be honest, I can't believe I got married before you!"

"Aw, thank you Brook." I sigh. "I hope he asks me soon. I really don't want to wait anymore."

"Relax Julia. It will happen when it happens." She says, digging into her food as soon she the waitress comes back.

"Your right." I say, chuckling at her behaviour. "Don't stuff up too much, remember your coming to my game tonight."

"Oh yeah, how can I forget?" She says, food still very much in her mouth. I chuckle, still shaking my head.

"Hey JP!" Alex shouts from the entrance of the cafe which causes everyone to 'shh' at him.

"This is'nt a library, drink your tea for pete's sake." He says heading towards us along with the rest of the gang.

"Honey, your 27 and yet you still act as if your 18 years old." Brook chuckles, kissing her husband.

"Your making it sound as if I'm old! I'm still in my young days you know, I just came out of college a few years ago." He pouts. He streches to take piece of Brook's strawberry when he scrunches up like an old man.

"Yeah, your not old." I chuckle. "Hey guys."

"Hello Julia."
"Hey girl!"
"Greetings."
"Wah gwan."
"The snack is here."

I shake my head at Drakes last comment.

"Are yuh guys coming to mi game tonight?" I ask, drinking my juice.

"Uh, is that even a question?" Ethan sasses, snapping his fingers. "Of course we are! We wouldn't miss it for the world!"

"Tanks guys." I say genurally. "I know it wasn't easy based on the fact that we will be seperated in a few months."

"Let's not focus on that." Alexander says. "Live in the moment."

"Yeah." Tezza says. "And even if we get seperated, we still ago be friends."

"Best friends." Lucus says.

"That's right!" Ethan shouts, which earns another 'shh' from the people.

"Oh go suck a popsicle." Drake says.

"That's rude!" Tezza says, hitting him. "Yuh don't have no shame."

"Oh yeah? Well-"

"Guys, please don't start. You guys fight all the time." Tahmar.

"A true dem like each other." Mizah says.

"Hey, can we go? I'm gonna be late if I don't get to de place now." I say standing up.

"Its a good thing its being held where you are. Or else you actually would be late." Josepth says, which cauaing everyone to laugh which causes another 'shh' from the people.

"Don't you people have something better to do?" Brook shouts which causes them to shut up.

"And we're now into the last minute of  this round and the points are 5 to 5. If The Violet Vixens score this point, then they automatically win the world cup!" The sports commentator.

"Let's go Violet Vixens!" I shout, running unto the field with my team mates. "We're here to win this!"

"Here comes Julia Pepper, captin of the Violet Vixens. She has been playing this sports for 10 years now and let's just say that she's been absolutely phenominal. Let's just hope that she wins the cup against The Elegant Eagles."

I smile at the camera before running to the scoring goal.

It was hard, the Eagles were good at depending. It became almost impossible to score. But when Sarah, one of my team mates kissed the ball from the opposing side all the way down to me, I knew that the goal was as good as mine.

"Oh! There goes Pepper. The Eagles are trying to close the distance but the gap is pretty far. Pepper has it! All she has to do is score before they close distance!"

The Eagles managed to close the distance but I had the upper hand. After dodging a few of them, I was at the perfect angle to kick the ball in.

When I saw the other team mates of the Eagles coming, I decided that it was time. Without hesitation, I used my power leg and kicked the wall, it soaring into the goal.

The goal keeper didn't even have a chance.

"The time is over! That's it! Violet Vixens win!"

"Ooooohhh!" I shout, hugging my team members. They begin to lift me up in the air and I begin to wave at my fans.

I chuckle when I see my friends in the middle of the crowd, cheering me on.
It felt amazing to see all of them here. Supporting me like in high school days even though we were old as Brook says.

What caught my attention was that he wasn't here. I thought he was in the crowd with them. But he wasn't here.

Jace wasn't here.

Just then, the sky gets clouded with a purple mist, the scent smelt like violet.

I scrunch my brows in comfusion as my team mates but me down. In the purple mist, it reads;

Congratulations Pepper!

I smile but my suspicions were still there. By now, everyone in the stadium was in awe, looking up at the weird purple mist in the sky.

The words soon dissolved into something else.

There's no one else I'd rather spend the rest of my life with. I love you with all my heart. I want to cherish you for as long as you live and treat you as the queen you are.

Realization dawned on me and I let out a gasp. The mist once again dissolved and I felt like this was all a dream.

Julia Marie Pepper, would you make me the happiest man on earth and marry me?

The mist slowly dissolves and everyone begins to look at me. Something tells me to look behind me and my breath gets knocked out of me.

Jace slowly approaches me and It took me back to my birthday, when he did something as big as this just to see me happy.

Only this time...

He was proposing to me.

When he's finally in front of me, he begins to wipe my tears. I allow him kneel in front of me before taking out the ring.

More tears come to my eyes as he smiles brightly at me. He was simply amazing. From the first time we met until now, he never seized to make me feel like the luckiest girl in the world.

"So? What do you say?" He whispers, aware that everyone in the stadium was still watching us. "Will you marry me?"

I stare at him in complete happiness. This man in front of me was absolutely and possitively the love of my life.

By saying yes, I would be accepting him for life and death. Forever until the end of time. And so, as I looked into his hope filled eyes, I replied with absolute certainty.

"Yes."
