Julia's POV

"Carter!" Jace's mom scolds him from across the dinner table.

"Its true! All I told Miss MonkeyEars was that she was hot and if I was the same age as her I would take her for one night." The boy with the blonde hair says. I try my best not to laugh at the teacher's name.

"Okay young man, that's enough." Brayon says as he leans over to the girl beside him. I learn that her name is Nicole and she is super nice, she is also engaged to Brayon and they are getting married in the next few months.

"But-"

"Carter." Francis says in a warning tone. Carter shuts up immediately. As much as Jace's father is nice, he knows how to deal with stuff when he is ready.

"Haha. You should have stopped talking along time ago." Emily sasses.

"Emily, you really need to eat your food." Jace says beside me. Under the table he has been holding my hand and caressing it slowly. To be this close to him felt so good. I loved being this close to him as possible. If only I could tell him this. I'm not really fond of expressing how I feel.

"Mom! Tyler took my tofu!" Malachi says.

"Oh so now you use your alliteration? Tyler, give him back the food please, you eat with your utensil." Nadine scolds. Francis smiles at his wife lovingly and I am once again so happy to be around this lovely couple.

"Stop talking around the table you two." Nicole says. She tries to seem serious but she smiles then turns away to hide it in her fiance's side.

"Just couldn't do it huh Nicole?" Brayon chuckles and kisses her forehead to which she blushes.

"Oh no, that won't do. You have to have some sort of strictness because when you have kids, your gonna have to be in charge." Nadine teases and feeds Cee-Cee.

"Mommy I'm sleepy." Bethany says.

"Oh, Victor can take you. Right Victor?" Francis says.

"Fine." He gets up and heads to Bethany that is beside me.

Bethany kisses my cheek. "Goodnight Julia."

"Goodnight pumpkin." I say and hug her. I've gotten really close to her and she me. She's like the baby sister I never had.

Kathy wasn't here because well, that's her. The woman had her business to take care of, plus she already had her house, she just came here to help or be there whenever she was needed.

Usually when sitting with a rich family the table would be quiet and stuck up and eyes would be judging, acting like they were perfect but this family was no where near that. They were themselves. They deserved all the happiness in the world.

"So why the maids don't deh here?" I ask Nadine while helping her clean the dishes.

"I sent them home. Everyone should get a break so in the night, I tell them to enjoy the night with their families." I smile at her. She really is an amazing women, Francis is very lucky.

"Hello ladies." Francis says as he enters the kitchen and wraps his arms around his wife. He starts whispering things in her ears to which she giggles.

"Francis stop, Julia is in here." She whispers as he kisses her neck. Okay, as much as I love them together, I don't want to see them doing PDA in front of me. Don't you laugh, I'm serious.

"Your so beautiful." He whispers and she flushes once more. I can't take this.

"Julia, will you be okay washing the dishes by yourself? I have to go do something." Nadine asks.

"Yeah sure." I say and immediately Nadine is picked up bridal style and swiftly carried away by her husband. I don't even want to know what that 'something' is that they are going to do.

Shaking my head, I head back to washing.

"Oh great, your alone." I hear a voice say. They a set a muscular arms wrap around my slim waist.

"Uh, yeah." I say breathlessly. My mind has been rerunning on what Jace had told me earlier. What does that make us? Surely I did not know. I was in no form ready for a relationship but somehow I was ready to do anything with Jace.

"Do you need help?" He slowly caress my arm and I feel goosebumps appear. He smiles when he sees that and chuckles.

"Yes, and even if you said no, I woulda still force you to do it." I tease.

"Oh really now?" He asks as his hands take the dish from me from behind and starts using both our hands to wash the dishes. I sigh when I smell his cologne and rest myself on his chest and smile.

"Well aren't you two comfy in here?" A voice says and we turn around to see Kathy.

"Yeah, and so what." Jace says, wrapping his arms around me more tightly.

"Nothing, continue with your lovey-dovey selves. I'll just leave you..." She trails off as she gets ready to leave. "Not until I get a video!" She holds her phone out and I scramble.

"Seriously Kathy?" I laugh.

"As serious as I was when I said I was gonna cheat on my lasagne." She laughs.

"Yes, and I'm giving everyone a 2000 word essay, thanks to Peter." Mrs. SmallFingers says.

"Its not my fault!" Peter speaks again.

"2500!" The teacher grins.

I groan. Why....

"Peter! Shut the fudge up!" Drake shouts and the boy shuts up.

"Thank you. Now, I have some homewo-" just then the bell rings. I sigh in relief. I had 2500 word essay to do and this lady was planning on giving me homework on top of this.

She shouldn't be giving us so much damn work! I dought she can do it, she has small fingers!

"Hey guys." Alex says and jumps on a chair but then falls. He quickly goes into a position on his side and crosses his legs.

"Seriously dude." Alexander laughs and the group laughs.

"I meant to do that."

"Right..." Jace says but then faces me and I smile at him. "So what's going on with you guys, you seem stressed out."

"That's because we are. Damn Peter wouldn't keep his retard of a mouth shut and now we have a 2500 word essay to write." Drake storms out of the class and the others follow.

"Guys, I was planning on telling Brook my pick up lines, stop me when one sounds really good." Alex says.

"No pick up line sounds good." Lucus deadpans.

"This one is the bomb! Here goes, Brook, your eyes are brown like poo, baby I'm lost in your toilet!" They all leave. And I here Alexander asks why Brook is interested in him.

"You okay?" Jace asks and pulls me up to his chest and I hug him.

"Mm, yeah." I sigh. I could stay here forever but I know that I can't because I have a drilling art class next.

"You smell lovely June, as always." He kisses my head and I smile.

"I want to join the football team." I say and the boys stop eating to look at me.

"You what?" Drake says.

"You should girl!" Ethan jumps in his seat.

"But there are no girls though J.P." Alexander says sadly.

"I still want to join. Back in Jamaica, I used to play football, I was on the team. A still wanna play." I say confidently.

"That's great Julia! You could just talk to couch. I'm sure he will accept you." Alex says as Brook feeds him grapes.

"Yeah, I like that your doing something that no one ever thought of doing. Way to stand out girl." Brook gives me and high five and at the same time Alex kisses her cheek. She turns into a tomato. How cute.

I turn to Jace who has been staring at me and smiling. "Whatcha think Jace?" I ask.

"I'm so proud of you." He hugs me.

"Thank you."

"Okay everyone! Today we'll be bleeding tears and our tears will be bleeding!" The couch says. He makes it sound we are in a military.

"I swear he isn't like this. Maybe its because his wife is acting up again." Alexander whispers to me. We are on the field. School has been over a few hours ago and I was just so excited to start doing back what I loved.

The couch walks up to me."I believe your lost?"

"No Sir. I'm trying out for the football team." I say proudly. And just like lightening, the whole school appears on the benches. How ironic.

"But, your a girl." He says. Huh! Feminist much?

"And?" A girl shouts from the bleachers.

"Girls can do anything boys can do." I say.

"Okay, if you can run around the field within 2 minute and a half and make three goals without missing any, I'll take you on the team." He says.

"Fine." I say and tie my hair in a pony tail. "Let's do this."

"You can do this June. I believe in you." Jace whispers and kisses my knuckles and my skin burns at the same spot.

"Thank you." I say and get on my marks.

"On your marks..... Get set......Go!" The whistle blows and I'm off immediately. My adrenaline starts to kick in and I go even faster at the last centimeters of the field. I finish with just the amount of speed.

"1minute and 24 seconds. That's a new school record." The couch mutters."Next, is the balls." I try so hard not to laugh at the statement.

He said balls...

I clear my throat and head to the post.

That sentence sounds wrong...

I need to stop this. The boys watches me and gives me a thumbs up. I take a deep sigh as a eye the three balls in front of me.

I slightly jog and use my power leg to hit the first one, the goal keeper tries to stop it but the ball slid past him befire ge went tumbling on the ground and It went in.

"Ayyye!" The school cheers.

"Come on J.P, you got this." Alex says and I smile at him.

I slightly jog up to the next ball and kick it, the goal keeper misses it all the way and It went in.

"Yeah Julia!" Brook screams.

"One last one girl." Alexander says.

Right now, I was nervous. And the silence of the school weren't making it any better. I breathe in and out.

"Come on Julia! You can do it! Julia! Julia! Julia!" The whole school starts to chant and I smile slightly. I can do this.

I slowly jog towards the ball and kick will all my might. The goal keeper seems like he was going to catch it but he barely touched it and it went in.

"Ayyyyyyyyyyyyyyye!" The school erupts. And I smile.

"Julia! I am so sorry I underestimated you. Girls can do anything boys can do. I'm so sorry. Welcome to the team." He puts out his hand and I gladly take it and shake it.

"It's a pleasure." I say, just then I'm being spun around in circles but a set of muscular arms.

"You did it June! I'm so proud of you!" He hugs me tight.

"Okay, not so tight. I swear I can't breathe." I hit him playfully.

"I knew you could do it!" Ethan squeals. The boys ran to me.

"Thanks guys." I chuckle.

"Dig pile!" Drake shouts out and I'm am being tackled by six muscular boys.

"Guys aw come on, not cool." I laugh. I love these guys.

"You were amazing today." Jace says for the millionth time.

"Thank you, again." I laugh. "It wasn't that hard."

"It was to." He glances at me from where he driving."You looked so nervous on the last one."

"But I was also calm." I say smartly.

"That's my girl." He says and I smile at the name gives me as the warm feeling inside of rises. Just then, my phone rings. Its my dad. I haven't heard from him since the day he left. I really needed to inform him on what was going on.

"Hello? Dad?" I smile.

"Hello babygirl." He says weakly and my smile immediately turns into a frown.

"Dad, what's wrong? Are you okay?" I ask, starting to panic as I look at Jace and he glances at me with a worried expression.

"I'm fine. I just wanted something that I intended to say from before I left. But its better I not tell you." He says.

"Dad, its better you tell me now so I can try to recover from it then later when I can't." I say to him.

"Okay. Do you remember about the disease that your mom had?" He asks. My aches at the mention of my mom.

"Yes." I croak.

"Well, it wasn't any ordinary disease." He starts.

"What you mean?"

"Julia, your mama had cancer."

A/N: Hello everybody! Long chapter as promised. I hope you all got the memo of this chapter because I'm not in the right state to put a long inspirational speech when I'm just so lazy. I won't even say when I'm going to be posting again but I hope its real soon. That's if my fingers and brain decide to work with me.

Cancer is a real monster and I pray everyday that it goes away and stop killing innocent people. Cancer has no mercy.

I miss her everyday day. But she's in a better place, I'm sure of it.
