Here's your update!!

The girl's appearance spoke rich and rich. She wore so much jewelry that it can blind someone by the shine of it, her clothes perfectly fitted on her slim body and her hair smoothly tied in an updo hairstyle, some beads adorning  it.

She came and hugged Kartik, to which he immediately reciprocated, now I know why he suggested the idea of breaking the marriage, well I don't care, I just want to go back

" Hi, I'm Francesca Bolt" the girl smiled at me

" Nice to meet you, I'm Naira Winchell" I replied awkwardly because I'm lying on the bed and they were standing, so it was kinda odd.

" C'mon Kartik, I want to talk to you alone" She said looking at me purposely, and then dragged Kartik outside, well as I said, I don't care.

After a few minutes, Kartik came in with the Queen.

" I heard from Kartik, that you're ready to marry him" she said happily

" Well I don't have any other options, now do I?"  I said

" I'm really happy, we'll get you ready for this world now" she said and waved her hand, I felt the restraint on my body lifting up and I relaxed

" You relax for sometime, the process will begin soon" she said and exits the room

" What process??" I furrowed my eyebrows

" There's a process, you know" he said as he scratched his neck

" Just tell me"  I shouted

" As you saw last night, you're not from here, so we'll do some magic on you which will help your body adjust to the new environment" he explained

" And what happens in it?" I asked

" You'll see" he said and went away

Now what they're going to do to me, I tiredly falls on the bed

" Miss Winchell, we're here to get you ready" came the voice of some maid's

" I'm so done with everything"  I whispered and then followed them to the bathroom.

There was a walk-in closet which was connected to the bathroom, maybe we live in a castle, but everything was modern here, more than what I've saw on my Earth.

I took a bath and then got ready in an elegant dress that the maids gave me, they won't even let me select my clothes.

" Everyone's waiting for you in the dining room" one maid informed me

" Well I don't know where is it" I said timidly

She smiled and asked me to follow her, it was quiet simple though but still this place is huge, she stopped infront of a pair of doors and left me there, I slowly pushed the door open and saw ,The King, the Queen and Kartik sitting there. I simply bowed to them when I entered the room and took a seat beside Kartik.

" We're really happy to welcome you to the family" came the sweet voice of the Queen

I just nodded and smiled towards her and then we started to have lunch.

" Naira and I have to go to the office for some official work, I'll bring her back before the sunsets" Kartik announced

" We do?" I asked looking at him, but he just ignored my question and walked out of the room while I followed him.

" I'm not a kid, that he has to bring me back before the sunset" I mumbled to myself

After we came to the main entrance, a butler came and bowed infront of us

" The car is ready sir" he said and then slowly went out

We followed him to the car and then finally sat inside and drove away

" Mind telling me why am I accompanying you?" I asked

" Just to sign some official papers" he said

" What papers?" I asked again

" You can read them when we sign it, don't worry" he answered calmly again

" And yes I know you're not a kid, but you're a human and going to be the Queen soon, to bring a human from your earth is very rare, we don't want to disturb your earth's peace but sometimes when it's necessary we have to" he explained

" Don't you think it's selfish, just because you want to win this war, how do I know if you're the right people, I mean maybe you're the bad guys" I said whatever came to my mind, they can't kill me because they need me.

" Well in that case, I can't do anything" he simply answered

What a satisfying answer!!
