Here's your update!!

"  I don't know what to say" I said as I looked apologetically at Kristine, who found out her husband was just not a traitor but also cheater her the whole life.

" Your majesty, you don't have to be sorry about anything, rather you should be celebrating that finally Jake is caught and this war has ended" she said trying to assure me, but the sadness could be seen in her eyes.

" I don't know whether we should be celebrating it or having a proper funeral of Kartik's father" I said as I massaged my temples, a day later we found out that Albert and Francesca were behind the murdering of the King, it happened after a few days when I came here. Now the palace is preparing for the funeral of the former King.

" It'll be all good, some things take time, you've been through so much, even King Kartik was not prepared for it, but now he has you by his side, you two can conquer this" she said as she got up

" Do you really have to go this early?" I asked her

" Yes your majesty, I have a new life now, I want to live it and not rot in my past memories, so by your permission, I shall take my leave" she said as bowed and we bid our goodbyes.

Everything was finally under control, that is what everyone thinks. I looked up at our room where Kartik has closed himself after he found out the truth about his father's death. I ascended the stairs and knocked on the door, though it is our room, but I'm trying to be careful.

" Come in" a neutral voice came from inside

I saw him sitting by the window in some casual clothes as he looked at the snow falling. I went and stood by him.

" It's your room also, you don't have to knock" he said

" And I'm your wife, please share with me what you're going through, I may not fully understand it, but atleast share with me" I said

He stood up and hugged me out of nowhere.

" It's just too much, the betrayal, the death, everything" he said with a trembling voice as he started to cry.

I tried to comfort him, as he went on about what he's feeling. I kissed him.

" It's going to be alright" I said as I held his palms

" Will it be?" He asked

" Yes, c'mon let's go outside, I want to enjoy the snow" I said excitedly

He laughed at my silly antics as he hugged me again.
