Here's your update!!

Kartik's POV

The war was at its end, but the problem was that I still couldn't find Jake.

" Your majesty" someone said in my mind.

It was one of the soldier.

" Say" I said in my mind

" Some soldiers of Jake are saying that he ran back to his castle when the war started" he said

" That coward" I shouted

" Go with your team and kill him in his own castle, that coward!!" I said in my mind.

Why did he ran away?, If he doesn't want to fight for his so called land, either way he was going to lose it. My kingdom is strong, but his army possess black powers, which can destroy kingdoms in a snap. That's why I have to marry a human to destroy his black powers.

" Sir, something big has happened at the castle" a guard said

" We must go" I said as we began to leave the war field behind.

When I went inside the castle, I can feel some kind of power wrapping around the castle, as it is slowly being lifted, like something very powerful was being used in the castle.

" Son, you're back?" My mother's voice came.

I immediately went and hugged her,
" you alright son?"

" Yes mother, we've won the war, where are the others?" I asked her, looked around, there was not any guard around

" I'll tell you" Kristine said as she came out from my castle wing, what the hell was she doing there?

" Your castle was under Francesca's power, she controlled all of them while Albert tried to kill Naira" she said

" Do you even know, what are you talking about?" I shouted at her

" Kartik calm down, she's telling the truth, if you don't believe us, go and ask  Naira, she's resting" Scott came from behind

" Mom what are they saying?" I asked her

" Son, I've no idea, I was asleep the whole time??" She said but ended up questioning herself

What happened here?

" Guards!!!" I shouted and a few of them came

" I want this castle to be back in function in hour, everything!! And then I want you to call the mage and all the high officers, we have a situation" I shouted the orders and went towards my wing.

I climbed the stairs and opened the door to my room and saw a conscious Naira laying on the bed, her neck was bandaged and she was staring at the ceiling.

No sooner did she noticed me, she got up and ran towards me. I caught her in my arms while she hugged me tightly. This was new.

" Did we win the war?" She asked, her voice had a little bit of roughness.

So this was all about her freedom, I scoffed, this was never about seeing me alive or being happy that her husband has returned.

" Ya we did, and now you can go back and live your life the way you always wanted, I do.." I was cutoff by a pair of soft lips touching mine rough ones.

" No" she said when we broke the kiss to take a breath

" What do you mean by no?" I asked confused

" No, I don't want to go back, I'll live here as your wife and the Queen of the Radiant Kingdom, and support you as I should" she said with determination in her eyes

" But you don't have to, I know you don't like me, so the duty will  just be a burden to you" I said as I cupped her face

" It will not be a burden when the person that I like is right beside me" she said and smiled, I smiled too.

" I quite don't understand you Mrs. Naira Montero" I asked just to tease her a little bit.

" I like you Kartik, maybe it is more than that, but still I want to stay with you" she said and I hugged her again.

" We don't have time for this, you have to deal with Jake" she said, how does she know about Jake.

" How do you know?" I asked

" Albert and Francesca were helping him, right now they're in the dungeon, but you still have to catch Jake, and I think they'll have the answer of your father disappearing too" she said as she comforted me, knowing that the disappearance of my father was a touchy subject.

" You take some rest, I'll go and deal with it" I sighed.

" I'm fine, you go and deal with matter, while I go and see if the palace is properly functioning or not" she said

" You don't have to" I tried to stop her

" I'm the queen, remember, maybe I don't have powers but I have you" she said as we kissed again.
