Here's your update!!

I lied on the bed wide awake, waiting for Kartik , it's been two hours since the incident, but nobody has came. The guards outside my door, are not telling me anything, and they're not letting me out of the room too.

Suddenly the door opened and came in a concerned looking Kartik, I immediately got out of the bed and hugged him out of nowhere. I can feel him stiffen and then relax as he hugged me too, resting his chin on my shoulder.

" How's your mother?" I asked coming out of the hug

He looked at me, " You're the first person to address her as my mother" he said

" Well she's your mother, and I know how it feels to see someone you care about get hurt"  I said, memories of my family passing through my mind, but I shook them away

" She'll be fine, but I don't think the attack was directed towards her" he said as we settle on a couch

" What do you mean?" I was confused

He looked at me, as if deciding whether he should reveal the secret or not

I scoffed a little as I leaned on the couch, " the attack was for me, isn't it?" I asked

He nodded, " I think your mother knew about it or maybe noticed something, that's why she came in between the dance" I said

" The attack was strong enough to kill a human but not us" he said putting everything together

" She saved me" I whispered, not knowing how to feel about it.

" That means she saw someone attacking you, so she took your place" Kartik summed it up

Again, Suddenly the door burst open, and came in a very angry King and the moment he saw me, he lunged at me.
He grabbed me by my throat and threw me against a wall, I was so shocked that I didn't even realise until I felt pain on my back. He grabbed me again by the throat and lifted me up.

I was trying to remove his hand, but he was not budging.

" You're the reason, my wife is injured, YOU!!" He shouted

" Dad, please release her, or I have to do something which you and the law would not approve" Kartik shouted but the King turned a deaf ear to it

" I want to kill you" the King spat venomous words

" DAD!!" Kartik shouted and then used his power, which threw the King against the wall and me falling on the floor trying to breath

The King got up again, he was about to lunge at me again but Kartik pushed him and shouted at him to bring him back to his senses but he kept attacking. He punched Kartik on the face and came towards at me, I backed away against the wall , and when he was about to touch me again

" I SAID STOP IT!" he shouted and then I saw a kind of vibrant blue thing running in his veins, his whole eye turned blue, there was no iris present in his eyes anymore, he looked a little creepy.

He then attacked his Father, blue power emerging from his palms, the King flew away and banged against the wall, and then collapsed on the floor, his body turning into ashes. The sound made the guards came in, the shock was visible in their eyes. Kartik returned to his normal state

" He's not my father" came Kartik's voice
