Here's your update!!

The day of the ball arrived, last night after eating pasta, I went to my room immediately, I don't want him to notice that how much he effects me, everything about him effects me, and that's not good, or is it?

I was brought out of my thoughts when I heard knocking on the room. I opened the door to see Kartik standing in full glory with two strangers.

" Naira meet them, this is my friend Albert and his wife Kristine" he said and I immediately bowed to them

" Oh no, it's fine, we're not royals, you don't have to bow to us" Albert smiled looking at me

I was confused for a moment, " he's a businessman, and they're here for our wedding" Kartik explained further

" Hi, I'm Kristine, nice to meet you" Kristine said and I smiled towards her, still confused what to say.

" Wedding, ya right, one hell of an event" I mummered under my breath

" It's nice to meet you also" I finally said looking at them

" We have the whole lot here" someone shouted

We all looked at the source of the sound, there was a man standing, same as the age of Kartik, but is way more royally dressed

" I told you, you don't have to wear the tail coat everytime you come here" Kartik scolded him

" I'm wounded" he said dramatically, putting his palm against his chest

" Naira, meet him, he's Scott, he's a restaurant owner" Kartik said

" She's the one, she's beautiful, you got lucky man" he said as soon as he saw me

" Nice to meet you, I'm Naira Winchell" I said nervously

" Same here, I'm Scott, and I cook the most delicious food" he said, standing with us

" Ya we know" Albert eye rolled

" I see, you're invited too, what a waste of precious food and drink for an ungrateful man like you" Scott said frustratingly

" Ok, my old good friends, if you may retire to your rooms, because here Naira and I have lots to discuss and prepare, meet you at the ball" Kartik dismissed them before Albert can reply, and they after bidding us goodbye exited our wing

" Any more friends left?" I asked Kartik

" Nope, those two are like the only ones whom I can rely on" Kartik explained

" There seems to be something off between Scott and Albert?" I asked, remembering when Scott insulted Albert

" They're good, it's just some beef between them, they'll be over it in no time" Kartik chukled

" Whatever you say, I've gotta go now" I said as I noticed the time

" Ok, there's a surprise for you" he said

" What surprise??" I asked, I hate surprises sometimes

" Go to your room, you'll find it" he smiled and then went away

I was about to go to my room, when I remembered that I've to talk to the Queen about something. So I exited my wing, the main area was dark, I guess everyone is busy getting the hall ready that they forgot to switch on the lights, I  somehow found my way to the Queen's wing, that is when I heard someone whisper.

" Are you sure?" Came a man's voice

" Ofcourse, that's the order" came a woman's voice

I tried to find them, but I failed. What were they even whispering about? Order?
