Chapter 38: Declaration Of War
Blue: Where in the Bing Chilling and I?
Suddenly, a voice echoed from behind him, a deep, chilling sound made up of multiple tones as if many voices were speaking in unison.
???: You...are witnessing the future vision of this world.
Blue whipped around, his heart pounding. What he saw before him made his blood run cold, standing there, in the flesh, was his brother Ethan.
But something was wrong. Ethan’s eyes glowed with an unnatural light, and there was a darkness that seemed to emanate from his entire being.
Blue: Ethan?
The figure took a step closer, and Blue could see the subtle distortions in his brother’s form. His skin was pale and cracked, as though it were barely holding together.
???: This is Ethan's body. But it is not Ethan himself.
Blue: No...you’re not him. You’re the thing taking over his body.....the Flower Mold itself....
Flower: Indeed, welcome, Blue Winters....to our Vision
Blue: What do you want with him? Why are you doing this in the first place? Did I not water you enough?
Flower:....We do not 'want' anything, in the way you perceive. We are beyond such simple desires. We are nature’s evolution, and Ethan Winters was merely a vessel...one that allowed us to flourish.
Blue: You’re using him! Just like you used everyone else! Why?!
Flower: Because we are what this world will become. Your kind clings to your humanity, but you cannot stop what is already set in motion. We are the future, and you, child, will either evolve...or be consumed.
Blue: Nah, I'd adapt
Flower: Then perhaps you will do your part in our plans
Blue: Hah, no...I won’t let that happen. I’m going to save Ethan, and I’m going to stop you....preferably with a lighter and some gasoline
Flower: You cannot stop what is inevitable, Blue Winters. You are fighting against the very nature of existence itself. Every time you resist your powers, every time you fear what you are....you are delaying the unavoidable. But you cannot hide from what you are forever.
Blue: What I am...doesn’t define me. I control my own fate...and besides...you were hiding yourself! Pendejo!
The Flower Mold's voice darkened, the many tones blending into something more ominous.
Flower: You can say that as many times as you like, but eventually, you will come to understand. You were made for this...and you will embrace it, whether you want to or not.
As Blue stood amidst the strange, hybrid forest of utopia and dystopia, the eerie figure of his brother...or rather, the Flower using Ethan's body approached him, its multi-tonal voice both unsettling and familiar.
The Flower's voice echoed again, softer but no less ominous.
Flower: You did well, Blue. You picked us up from the forest, giving us the chance to grow and evolve. For that, we must thank you.
Blue felt a wave of regret wash over him, knowing what his actions had unintentionally unleashed.
Blue: Yeah, I shouldn't have done that, my bad, G. If I had known what you were, what you would become....I would've burnt you
Flower: Yet, you did still pick us up. Do not feel sorrow, child. You assisted in the first step of this world's transformation, a world cleansed of the disease known as humanity.
Blue: Hold on a minute, You want the entire world to look like this?
Flower: Correct
Blue: I'm not going to lie, you need to work on you art decisions, there is a guy known for that and....well he ended up trying to do what you did in a way
Flower: Humans have plagued this planet for too long. Their pollution, their wars, their greed....their viruses. We are merely the cure to a disease that has gone unchecked for far too long. The world needs to return to its natural state, and we are the only way to achieve that.
Blue: Yeah, that’s cool and all, G, but I live on this planet too. And last I checked, I’m not trying to go back to living with dinosaurs or whatever nightmare version of Earth you're imagining....you're a Zamasu from Wish!
Flower: You misunderstand, Blue. This world will not regress. It will evolve. Just as we have evolved beyond the petty limits of humanity. Those who embrace our way will thrive, and those who resist...will be consumed.
Blue: I’m not interested in your idea of evolution. You might think you're saving the planet, but you're just wiping out everything that makes it worth saving. Humans aren’t perfect, but we’re not some disease to be eradicated....i-in a way...
Flower: You speak from a place of fear and ignorance. In time, you will understand that there is no stopping what has already begun. Whether you wish it or not, you will be a part of this change.
Blue: Nuh uh. I’m going to stop you and save Ethan. Whatever you are, you don’t control me! You're not my Mum!
Flower: You may resist now, but the day will come when you will see the truth. And when that day comes, you will have no choice but to embrace what you were always meant to be.
Blue: We’ll see, plant boi....say....why are flowers always the bad guys? First Flowey from Undertale, and now this? I already have an Undertale book....then again, Flowey isn't an Opp anymore....but still!
Flower: Your humor is amusing, but it will get you nowhere.
Blue: Gonna have to disagree with you there, big man. I think it's what's going to make me win, it always secures me the win
Flower: We shall see.
Blue: Oh, we will, you don't even have eyes in your true state
Flower:.....Is....this a declaration of war that we are hearing?
Blue: Nah, bro, I'm just saying I'm gonna win. But yeah, we can call it a declaration of war if that makes you feel better.
Flower: You will lose.
Blue: Cool, cool. But, uh...I'm gonna grab the Heavy Flammenwerfer and give you a taste of it. How's that sound?
Flower: Are you truly willing to hurt your brother in your quest to stop me?
Blue: I won't need to. I'll drag you out of him if it's the last thing I do.
Flower: It will not be. We will defeat you and claim your body as our next vessel.
Blue: Oh really? Well, at least I feel special now....and not just in the special needs kinda way.
Flower: You...are very peculiar.
Blue: Why, thank you!
And with that, Blue snapped back to reality. He woke up to Ashley gently shaking him awake.
Ashley: Hey....it's time to plan
Blue stretched, still shaking off the remnants of his bizarre conversation with the Flower. Together, he and Ashley joined the rest of the group as they began discussing their strategy for the final assault on the last outpost.
Jill: Expect the last remaining BSAA agents, along with Chris, Helena, Donna, Alcina Dimitrescu, and Ethan.
Jake: We need to figure out a way to stop the Flower Mold. It's gonna be tough.
Leon and Rebecca exchanged glances, both deep in thought. But before they could speak, Mother Miranda interrupted.
Miranda: You will need fire, the Flower's core can only be destroyed by flames. I assume it has already planted its Seed in the heart of the last outpost, so flames are your best option.
Heisenberg: Let's just blow the whole place up.
Blue: Yes! Arson!
Ada: Would that even work? What if you need actual flames, not just an explosion
Rebecca: I'm sure we can figure something out from there.
Sheva: We need backup plans too. Just in case.
Heisenberg: Ah we’ll figure that out later. Let’s just go in and hit them hard!
Blue: I call this...Operation: Ballin and Apples.
Claire: Apples?
Blue: Because I’m about to burn down a tree! And resort to Deforestation!
Cassandra: Of course, he would say that -_-
Bela: I think it’s cute.
Daniela: [Giggles] And creative!
The group chuckled as the tension lightened for a moment, but the weight of their mission still hung heavy in the air. The final assault was imminent, and the stakes had never been higher.
The group assembled, ready to head to the final BSAA outpost. Blue stood at the forefront, alongside Jill, Eveline, Leon, Claire, Jake, Rebecca, Sheva, Ashley, Heisenberg, Daniela, Bela, Cassandra, Ada, and Miranda.
The weight of what they were about to face hung in the air. Everyone was checking their weapons, prepping gear, and exchanging last minute plans.
As Blue adjusted his gloves, Miranda approached him, her voice low but firm.
Miranda: Are you willing to go through loss to win?
Blue: What do you mean by that?
Miranda exhaled softly, as if letting go of a truth she’d been holding in for too long.
Miranda: I'll be honest with you, just this once...I don't believe Ethan will come out alive.
Blue: And why do you say that?
Miranda: Because once the Flower is embedded into a host vessel like Ethan....if it spends too long inside, it becomes impossible to root out. The Flower consumes the host, replacing them completely.
Blue: Well....thanks for telling me, because I'm going to fish Ethan out like a Magikarp.
Miranda: Wait! You can’t just do that. It won’t work! This is more complicated than-!
Blue: I can’t, Miranda. Sorry, but I’m going to get my Brother back. Whatever it takes.
With that, Blue turned and walked away, heading toward the rest of the team. Miranda watched him go, her face tight with frustration. She had tried to warn him, but it seemed Blue was determined, even in the face of impossible odds.
Sighing, Miranda glanced at Eveline, who had been silently watching the exchange. Miranda approached her, her usual cold demeanor softening slightly.
Miranda: That boy is reckless
Eveline: He’s always been like that....
Miranda: That stubbornness will be his undoing.
Eveline: Or maybe...it’s what will save us all.
Miranda didn’t respond, and instead, the two of them climbed into one of the vans. Since there were so many of them, the group had to split into two vehicles.
Blue, Eveline, Heisenberg, and a few others piled into the first van, while Miranda, Jill, Leon, and the rest took the second. The engines roared to life, and they set off towards the last BSAA outpost.
As the snow covered Alaskan wilderness sped past them, Blue stared out of the window, lost in thought.
His mind raced with everything he had learned, from the Flower's power to the impossible odds stacked against them. But one thought stood out above all....
Saving Ethan.
Even if it meant going up against an enemy that had embedded itself deep inside his Brother’s body, Blue was ready to do whatever it took.
No matter the cost.

As the two vans approached the final BSAA outpost, tension filled the air. The outpost loomed ahead, surrounded by thick snow and tall trees.
Everyone knew this would be the hardest battle yet, not just against the mind-controlled BSAA agents, but against their own pasts and the Flower Mold's influence.
Once they parked, the group quickly split off into their assigned teams. Ada, ever the lone wolf, silently slipped away from the group, heading off on her own mission without a word.
She thrived in the shadows, and no one questioned her decision.
Bela, Cassandra, and Daniela exchanged determined looks before heading towards the northern part of the outpost where their Mother, Alcina Dimitrescu, was being held.
It was a reunion they dreaded but also needed. The Dimitrescu Daughters had grown into fierce warriors, but confronting their Mother in this twisted state was a challenge they had to face alone.
Meanwhile, Claire, Jill, Leon, Rebecca, and Jake moved as a tight unit, their mission clear: find Helena and Chris.
The two were always known as formidable allies in their different ways, but under the Flower Mold’s control, they were even more dangerous. Claire gripped her weapon tightly, the thought of facing her Brother like this weighing on her.
Blue, Eveline, Ashley, Heisenberg, and Miranda headed towards the southern section, where Donna Beneviento and Angie, were located.
Donna had been a challenge even when she was in full control of herself, and now, under the Flower’s control, she was even more dangerous.
Blue led the way, feeling the familiar weight of responsibility pressing on his shoulders. The moment they entered the cold, metallic halls of the outpost, they were met with resistance.
BSAA agents, eyes glazed over and movements stiff from mind control, appeared in their path. Blue knew these were just more innocent soldiers trapped under the Flower’s control, and he couldn’t bring himself to hurt them.
He had to free them, like the others.
Blue: Here we go....
Heisenberg: I'll clear a path. Just make sure you do your thing, Spark Plug
Blue nodded, knowing what he had to do. He raised his hand, small sparks flickering between his fingers.
Even though the trauma of his powers weighed on him, this wasn’t about him...it was about freeing the people who didn’t deserve to be controlled like this.
Eveline stood by his side, watching his movements closely. She could sense his hesitation but didn’t say anything just yet. She knew he’d pull through.
The first wave of BSAA soldiers lunged forward, their movements robotic. Heisenberg stepped forward, throwing a chunk of metal from his magnetic powers to block their path.
The metal clanged against the ground, buying Blue a few moments to prepare.
Blue: I got this....I think....
With a deep breath, he released a series of controlled electric sparks that hit the soldiers, stunning them. The small jolts were enough to disrupt the mind control without causing any serious harm.
One by one, their expressions were slightly dazed ones, and they blinked in confusion, as if waking from a nightmare.
Heisenberg: Time for school, motherfuckers!
Eveline: I pray that you don't have kids
Heisenberg: Well screw you too
Miranda watched all of this with a careful eye, her expression unreadable. She had told Blue that freeing Ethan was impossible, and yet here he was, freeing others with ease.
Perhaps there was more to him than she had given him credit for.
Ashley: You did it.
Blue: Y-Yeah....let’s keep going though, Donna’s not far.
They moved deeper into the outpost, following the eerie silence that permeated the hallways. Soon, they entered a room that felt colder than the rest.
It was dark, save for a single flickering light in the corner. And in the middle of the room, surrounded by strange flowers growing out of the walls, stood Donna Beneviento and her doll, Angie.
Donna’s face was expressionless, her eyes empty, just like all the others who had been taken over by the Flower Mold. Angie twitched in her arms, the tiny doll's eyes gleaming with malevolent energy.
Blue’s heart sank, this was the girl that expressed her feelings to him first. Seeing her like this, under the control of the Flower, made him more determined to free her.
But he knew they wouldn’t make it easy.
The doll, Angie, cackled madly as it moved, its limbs jerking as if controlled by invisible strings.
Angie: Welcome, welcome! You want to play with Donna? Or with me?
Donna’s head tilted slightly, her mouth moving, but no words came out. She was trapped in her own mind, unable to break free.
Blue: Damn, so Angie gets to have speaking rights? Lucky her
Heisenberg: Let’s take care of this quickly.
Blue raised his hand, ready to send the electric current needed to free Donna, but before he could act, more BSAA agents poured into the room, blocking their path.
As Blue’s team pushed forward with their mission, the focus shifted to Claire, Jill, Leon, Rebecca, and Jake.
The group had been making significant progress, taking down mind-controlled BSAA agents and moving swiftly through the outpost.
Helena had been knocked out by Sheva earlier, removing one of their threats for the moment.
But there was a strange tension in the air that none of them could shake, and it wasn’t long before the source of that feeling made itself known.
Suddenly, a chilling voice echoed through the hallways.
Wesker: Well, well…isn’t this a reunion?
Everyone froze. The voice was unmistakable, sending a jolt of fear and rage through those who had heard it before.
Albert Wesker emerged from the shadows, his trademark sunglasses reflecting the dim light. His mere presence caused a wave of unease to settle over the group, especially for those who had believed him dead for years.
Jill: Wesker….
Jill’s voice was a mix of shock and disgust. Seeing him again stirred up memories she thought she’d buried, memories of the man who had betrayed them all.
Claire stood beside her, fists clenched, ready to fight. Leon and Rebecca, who had also heard stories about Wesker but didn’t expect to see him alive, stood in stunned silence.
But Jake….Jake was the one hit hardest by Wesker’s appearance. His eyes widened in disbelief, a mix of anger and confusion bubbling to the surface.
Wesker, the Father he had never truly met, the man whose legacy of evil he had spent his life trying to escape, was standing right in front of him.
Wesker: Surprised to see me, everyone? Especially you, boy....
Jake’s fists tightened, every fiber of his being wanting to lash out, but he was frozen in place.
Jake: You.....damn Bastard....
