Chapter 25: Ending The Past 3
Chapter 25: Ending The Past 3
One Last Showdown.
Ezekiel: It's like the old saying goes, Blue! You can run! But you can't hide!
Blue ignored Ezekiel and kept exploring the castle, Ezekiel didn't know what the boy had planned and wasn't bothered at all. Because no matter what Blue does, it will be useless against him.
And that's what Ezekiel thought whenever Blue was in his point of view, he would shoot at Ezekiel. The bullets didn't really do much, despite piercing his flesh, which did surprise the former leader of CORE.
He thought his resistance would be able to stop the bullets, but there was something off about them. And he would be right as before Blue left for this mission, he switched out his normal bullets with these experimental ones that himself, Jake and Heisenberg worked on.
They hadn't properly tested it, but Blue thought that he might as well take it. And it was a good thing he did, because he could see that it was working. And now he had his masterplan set, because he didn't just upgrade the ammunition for his guns.
Ezekiel: Going to the top? Good, I can watch you fall and break every bone in your body!
Ezekiel followed Blue at the top of Castle Dimitrscu, it was the same place that held Alcina Dimitrscu's special dagger. As Ezekiel reaches the small room, he looks around Blue until he hears a weapon being loaded.
He turns around and sees Blue standing there, with his grenade launcher in hand. The same one he used to commit many war crimes.
Ezekiel: Oh.....well I've been played.
Blue: Indeed you have, Hasta Luego
Blue pulls the trigger and blasted Ezekiel through the glass window. Parts of the walls was destroyed and Blue watched as Ezekiel went flying across the air and into the forest below.
Blue:.....Damn, that was a bigger punch than I thought it would have

Blue's POV

I put my grenade launcher away and climb back down to the many floors of Castle Dimitrscu. Immediately I spot Eveline and walk over to her, and punches me in the chest.
Eveline: Good to see you're not dead. But where is he?
Blue: Somewhere in the forest, so let's go to him
Eveline: I'm sorry, but you want to continue this fight? Are you insane?!
Blue: What do you mean? We're finished with the initial task, and now I'm going to deal with him
Eveline: Have you actually beaten him?
Blue: I-!
Eveline: In a fight! Because the first encounter was a fluke and you know it. And we know what happened in the second one
Blue: And that's why they say third time is the charm
Eveline: To you winning? Or to you dying?
Blue: Okay, what's with the doubt? You don't think I can win?
Eveline: I-I do, but it's too risky!
Blue: What's life without a little bit of risk?
Eveline: Blue wait!
I jump from the window and professionally platform myself down the castle before running towards the forest, ready to throw hands with Ezekiel.
At first, I couldn't find him at all, but walking in a straight line really helps as I found him in an open space in the middle of the forest. He was clearly waiting for me, and didn't seem as if he was hurt from my grenade launcher at all.
Blue: Good Day Sir! You wouldn't happen to know the muffin man by any chance?
Ezekiel: No, but I can see a dead man right in front of me
Blue: [Turns Around] I don't see any, perhaps you are legally blind
Ezekiel: To be fair, looking at you makes sick. I never want to see you again after this
Blue: And you won't, because you're going to die
Ezekiel: No second chances? I thought that was your thing
Blue: You're right, but I think this has gone on for long enough. You want me dead, I want you to leave me alone....but I can also put you to rest alongside Abigail
Ezekiel:......That day, I shouldn't have listened to Wallin, so part of it is my fault. But I'll redeem myself by killing you
Blue: Would she have wanted this?
Ezekiel: Who knows? But it's the only thing that motivates me at this point, I might as well go through with it
Blue: I....I can respect that.
Eveline had finally caught up to me, but she stood some meters away. She could sense the tension between myself and Ezekiel, and knew it was best to stay back.
Blue: One Last Showdown?
Ezekiel: Why not? But you need to start showing me something, boy
Blue: What is there to even show?
Ezekiel: A lot. You have no idea what you're capable of, you have so much potential and even my own Daughter could see it
Blue: Were we close?
Ezekiel: You and Abigail? You were basically best friends, she never had much in school so she was happy to hear that I was going to take her to meet you
Blue: I see....then I can only apologise for what I did
Ezekiel: The only compensation I want from this is not an apology....but a blood dept
Blue: I'm sorry but I don't take those types of currencies
Ezekiel: You will in a moment
Ezekiel starts it all off by using his superhuman speed to close the distance between us. He prepares a punch that was targeted for my stomach, so I block it with my arm.
The impact of the punch forced me to take a few steps back and fling my arm about.
Blue: Okay, ow. Why do you hit so damn hard?
Ezekiel: Did you forget that I injected myself with the upgraded version of what you have?
Blue: H....How do you know that?
Ezekiel: I'm guessing you saw everything about your past, right? You mentioned Abigail
Blue: I....I did. Well then, guess we scrap!
Ezekiel: Yes, now accept your fate, Blue Light
Ezekiel comes forward once again and I have to parry his attacks, or at least try to since he was faster than me by a lot.
Maybe I should lock in a bit more.....
Blue: So is that all you got? Because this boost in everything for you isn't doing what I thought it would
Ezekiel: You really want to die, don't you?!
Ezekiel decided to up the pace and now I was really in trouble, but I noticed that he wasn't really throwing leg kicks. And that gave me a plan as I quickly send a quick, low kick that caught Ezekiel in the ankle.
This put him off balance, he falls forward and I use this opportunity to lift my knee and smash it into the chin of Ezekiel. He falls to the ground hard and I quickly grab his ankles, throwing him into a set of trees.
Blue: That's out of the park!
Eveline: Are you okay?!
Blue: Yeah! I'm fine! How are you?
Eveline: Good! Just....don't get hurt too much
Blue: No promises, my friend!
_______________
3rd POV
_______________
Ezekiel gets up and walks back to the scene of the fight. Blue gets ready but noticed that Ezekiel didn't move straight away, so he stayed still as well.
Blue and Ezekiel face off, their breath visible in the chilly air of the village forest. Muscles tensed, and eyes were locked while being within a few feet of each other, both were anticipating the other's move.
Blue exuded confidence but his face showed that he was being extra careful. Ezekiel was calm yet determined, he radiated an inner strength that he could only feel when the idea of his Daughter was in his mind.
Ezekiel: You're delving into dangerous territory now, boy
Blue: I know, Danger is my middle name
Ezekiel: Is it?
Blue: Nah, it's "Opp Stomper"
With a sudden surge of energy, Blue lunged forward, throwing a series of rapid punches. Ezekiel dodged and weaved, his movements fluid and precise before countering with a powerful kick, catching Blue off guard and sending him to the floor.
Blue got up and launched another assault, his fists a blur of motion, but Ezekiel was ready, parrying each blow with ease. With a swift sweep of his leg, he swept Blue off his feet, sending him crashing to the ground once again.
As Blue struggled to get up, Ezekiel closed in, his movements deliberate and calculated. With a swift jab, he landed a solid blow to Blue's abdomen, causing him to double over in pain.
Despite Blue's valiant efforts, Ezekiel seemed to have the upper hand. His movements were effortless, his attacks precise and devastating. With each strike, he wore down Blue's defenses, gradually gaining the upper hand.
Finally, with a decisive blow, Ezekiel sent Blue sprawling to the ground, the sound of his defeat echoing through the forest. But Ezekiel knew that Blue wasn't done and beckoned him to continue.
Ezekiel: Come on, boy! You're not showing me who you really are!
As Blue lunged forward with a fierce punch, Ezekiel dodged effortlessly. With a swift counterattack, Ezekiel's fist connected with Blue's abdomen, sending him stumbling back once more.
Blue gritted his teeth, determination fueling his next assault. He swung wildly, but Ezekiel sidestepped with ease. With another devastating punch, Ezekiel sends Blue flying across the ground.
Blue was up again, and started to throw hands with Ezekiel. He started to do better this time, and was winning the exchanges. But Ezekiel was not bothered by the damage that Blue was giving to him.
So he grabs Blue's wrist, stopping his attack. He was confused by this, but watched as Ezekiel raises his right hand and stops it at Blue's chest. This further confused Blue, until Ezekiel closed his fist and struck him with the Infamous One-Inch Punch.
Gasping for breath, Blue went flying back and could barely get up after all of that. Ezekiel didnt allow him a moment to breathe as he was already upon him, his strikes relentless and powerful.
Each blow landed with bone-crushing force, leaving Blue battered and bruised. Despite his best efforts, Blue couldn't keep up with Ezekiel's superhuman speed and strength.
With one final devastating blow, Ezekiel knocked Blue unconscious, the fight coming to a swift and decisive end as Blue flies into the forest.
Eveline: BLUE!
Ezekiel: In the end....he proved to be a failure.
Eveline: He isn't dead! He'll get back up and-!
Ezekiel: And what? Beat me? He can't even tap into the shit we gave him when we made him!
Eveline: Hasn't he done it before?
Ezekiel: He can only do basic shit, but the one time he released the real stuff, it was a stupid accident that got my Daughter killed.
Eveline: He didn't mean it!
Ezekiel: And I don't care, he took something that I love.....so I'll take something that he loves
Before Ezekiel could approach Eveline and possibly end her life, the sounds of trees collapsing was heard from the side, the same side that Blue had crashed into.
The two look towards the trees and saw a figure walking out form the destroyed pieces of bark.
It was Blue Light, with slight injuries but a serious look on his face. Ezekiel was surprised he is up, while Eveline was glad he was okay, but worried for what seemed to be round 2.
Ezekiel: Why does he fight? Why can't he stay down?
The tension crackled like electricity as Blue continued to slowly walk towards Ezekiel, both fighters exuded confidence. Blue, with his piercing blue eyes, emanated an aura of power.
While Ezekiel, with his rugged demeanor, exuded an air of determination. He could beat him again, naturally, Blue could never beat him.
[0:45]
But then, in a sudden flash of movement, Blue dashed at Ezekiel and hits him back. Ezekiel slides across the ground on his feet, and watched as Blue was surrounded in electricity.
Ezekiel: W-What the-?!
Blue leaps in and punches Ezekiel in the face, he recovers and engages in a fist fight with the new and revitalised Blue. The fight began with a flurry of fists and kicks, each blow met with equal force and skill.
Blue's movements were fluid, a surprise to Ezekiel who had never seen him fight before. Out of anger, and the idea of being tired of Blue coming back, Ezekiel used his raw strength and instinct, but kept getting countered.
He also could see that small sparks were occurring everytime Blue's attacks connects with his own.
Ezekiel: Is he....tapping into it?
As the fight progressed, it became evident that Blue possessed something more than mere physical prowess. Ezekiel's guess of Blue growing was right as Blue managed to get clean hits in, and each hit created a bigger spark of electricity, catching Ezekiel off guard.
But Ezekiel, undeterred, countered with a surge of fire. Blue jumps back once he saw that flames had appeared in Ezekiel's hands.
So he decided to do the same with his new found electricity powers, as it surrounded his hands and body.
Yet Ezekiel, with his indomitable spirit, refused to be overwhelmed, channeling his own energy to withstand the onslaught. He would have his moments, and got his hits in with his own flames.
But Blue was a persistent boy, who wasn't going to stop his assault.
As the fight raged on, Blue's advantage became increasingly apparent. His powers allowed him to anticipate Ezekiel's moves with uncanny precision, dodging and weaving with effortless grace.
He would also block or parry Ezekiel's attacks and counter with powerful strikes. With each passing moment, Ezekiel found himself struggling to keep up, his breath coming in ragged gasps.
That was partially his fault as he never used his fire powers much, but he refused to back down. That was until Blue delivered a devastating punch to Ezekiel's gut, which was followed by a powerful electric shock the second after the punch landed.
Ezekiel flies across the ground but recovers on his feet, he was angry that Blue was beating him since he had the better powers, and he had more experience at using them than Blue.
But Blue was better.....
With a flick of his wrist, Ezekiel conjured a hundred clones of himself, they all appeared in front of him and acted as a wall between himself and Blue.
Eveline was shocked that Ezekiel could do this, but she was still confident in Blue's power, even though this was all new to her and Blue himself. Blue's eyes narrowed as he focused his energy, electricity arcing around him like a barrier.
The clones were on standby, and Ezekiel let them loose, commanding them to fight Blue while he recovers. But that recovery session wouldn't last long as Blue slowly walks towards the onrushing army with a chilling calmness inside of him.
Electricity once again surrounds his body, and time almost seemed to slow down as Blue bursts forward and destroyed every clone there in a chain of attacks.
Punches, kicks, uppercuts, knees, hooks.
They all simultaneously blew up, leaving small clouds of smoke, and Ezekiel flinched from the sudden increase of speed.
The air crackled with tension as Blue and Ezekiel engaged in battle again. They clashed all around the area, their powers colliding in a dazzling display of light and sound.
Blue's attacks grew more ferocious, and the lightning grew with each second, his movements fueled by the sheer force of his will to end things now. And with one devastating spin kick delivered to Ezekiel's neck.....
.....Blue stood victorious, his body crackling with energy.
[End Theme]
Blue: Give up.....I've won
Ezekiel: Won? You....You haven't won...I will never let you! Out of all people! BEAT ME!
Just as victory seemed within Blue's grasp, Ezekiel tapped into a hidden reservoir of strength. His body bursted into flames, and he had one more desperate assault.
With a mighty roar, he surged forward, his fists ablaze with searing energy. Blue, caught off guard, staggered backward, the impact sending shockwaves rippling through his body.
Ezekiel continued to throw many flame covered fists at Blue, connecting with most of them as the lightning user tried to his best to defend himself.
And Blue would get that moment of fighting back, as he gathered his remaining strength and unleashed a devastating blast of energy. The force of the explosion sent Ezekiel crashing to the ground, he gets up and makes himself continue.
In the eyes of Blue, it was becoming increasingly pitiful. So he decided to end it all by unleashing a devastating combo with lightning infused fists and kicks.
At the end, Ezekiel was battered badly to the point where he couldn't get up for a moment.
As Blue stood victorious amidst the rubble, his powers flickering like a dying flame, he knew that this battle had changed him. He had faced a ghost from his past and defeated him using the powers he was given from the moment he was created.
He isn't sure of them, since they were the aftermath of his past, but as the crackling energy begins to course through his veins, he decided to wait before attempting to never use them again.
Blue approached Ezekiel, who was barely sitting up from the floor, his face etched with exhaustion and defeat. With a heavy heart, Blue cleared his throat before speaking.
Blue: Ezekiel, I...I don't even know where to begin. I'm.....sorry. Yeah I said it already and you dismissed all of my words....but I mean it.
Ezekiel looked up, his eyes hollow yet searching, as if seeking solace in Blue's words.
Ezekiel: Sorry? You don't get to be sorry! I let you play with my Daughter because you both needed a friend, and you took her away from me!
Blue winced, knowing that the pain in Ezekiel's voice cut deeper than any physical wound.
Ezekiel: She was all I ever had after I lost my wife, she was the only thing in my life that shined light onto me....
Blue: I know, but....I didn't want to take her life. I should've been able to control myself, but I never got the chance to really learn about myself. Abigail....she was....she was my first ever friend
Ezekiel's gaze softened once he could see the regret in Blue's eyes and body language. A flicker of understanding crossing his features, which is something that he didn't want to admit to Blue's face.
Blue: I know sorry will never cut it, but I just want to let you know that I never wanted that to happen. If I could go back in time to stop all of that, I would.
Ezekiel:....You know what? She wouldn't want us blaming ourselves for what happened....it was a freak accident. Maybe my rage has blinded me for all these years.
Blue nodded, his throat tight with emotion. He knew Ezekiel was right, but the weight of guilt still hung heavy on his shoulders.
Blue: I just wish I could've done more, you know? Maybe if I didn't panic during the moment-!
Ezekiel cut him off with a gentle shake of his head, a weary yet forgiving smile playing at his lips.
Ezekiel: We can't change what happened, kid. I think it's time I drop the whole revenge plan....and move forward. Because that's all that we can.....move forward.
Blue swallowed hard, feeling a glimmer of hope amidst the darkness that threatened to consume him.
Blue: Yeah....together?
With those words, a silent understanding passed between them, binding them together in their shared grief and determination to find some semblance of peace amidst the chaos that surrounded them.
But.......
Ezekiel: Hey.....you're a good kid, right?
Blue: Y-Yeah, I guess you can say that, why?
Ezekiel: I want you to do me a favour
Blue: A favour? Yeah, I guess I can do one for you. What do you need?
Ezekiel: I want you to kill me
Blue: W-What?
Eveline: Kill him? Why?
Blue: Yeah, why? Don't you want to find redemption?
Ezekiel: I believe I did as soon as I forgave you for something I shouldn't have been too hard on you for. My time has passed, I think it's time if I move onto the afterlife
Blue: That's cool and all, but I'm not going to kill you!
Ezekiel: That wasn't a request, boy. It is an order.
Blue and Ezekiel stood in silence, facing each other. Blue's fists clenched, his eyes narrowed with determination, while Ezekiel's gaze held a haunting sadness.
Ezekiel: Boy, you know what I want. I can't live with the guilt anymore. I need you to end it.
Blue: I won't do it, Ezekiel. There's always another way!
Ezekiel: What reason do I have anymore? My family is gone and I want to be with them.
Blue: I understand all of that, but there is more for you in life. It's funny, I did want to kill you....but here I am....trying to save your damn life
Ezekiel: And now you have to end it
Ezekiel charged at Blue, fists flying. Blue dodged and weaved, refusing to fight back with full force. He couldn't bring himself to harm Ezekiel, no matter how much Ezekiel begged for it.
He wasn't a killer.....
Their dance of combat continued, the sounds of grunts and blows echoing in the cold forest as Eveline watches on in anticipation.
Each strike from Ezekiel carried the weight of his desperation, while Blue fought with restraint, searching for an opportunity to end the confrontation without bloodshed.
But Ezekiel was relentless, his attacks fueled by his desire for release.
Ezekiel: I can't go on like this. I need you to set me free! If you're going to be useful for once, you can do it by killing me!
Blue's heart ached at Ezekiel's plea, but he couldn't grant such a request. He couldn't bear the thought of taking a life, even if Ezekiel wanted him dead for years. He understood why Ezekiel wanted this, he had nothing and his entire empire was destroyed.
All he has.....is salvation.
As the fight raged on, Blue found himself backed into a corner, Ezekiel's relentless assault leaving him with no choice.
With a heavy heart and almost no emotion in his eyes, Blue finally relented, delivering a swift, merciful punch infused with electricity.
It pierced through Ezekiel's chest and into his heart, sending electrical waves through his body, preventing any sort of regeneration.
Ezekiel: F-.....Finally
Ezekiel collapses to the ground, his breaths shallow and ragged, a sense of peace washed over his features. With his last breath....he gave his final message.
Ezekiel: W-Well...this is it for me. I'll see you in Hell, Bo-....no....Blue....
Blue: Yeah....I'll be seeing you....in another life
Ezekiel: Thank you, Blue....
Ezekiel slips into unconsciousness, confirming his eventual death. Blue knelt beside his fallen enemy, his own heart heavy with sorrow despite the many brawls and conflicts they had.
He had done what Ezekiel asked, but the weight of his decision would almost haunt him forever.
Blue: I.....can't believe I did it.....Rest In Peace.....Ezekiel....I hope Heaven accepts you....so that you can be with your family again.....

Well uhh this is where the story is going to be put on hold.
Why so soon?
Well, we haven't actually written the new plot for this next....Arc.
This was just the Prologue to it.
I would love to hear some of your ideas so that we can mix it up with what we have.
........What's that? You want to know what RE 9 is going to be called?
Oh fine, we shall call it:
Resident Evil 9: Bewitched
That....might be the working title, but eh, it's something.
Give us your ideas!
Also here's a parody ending of this chapter!
Blue: I......can't believe I did it. So this is how Kakashi felt.....
