Chapter 2: Blue's First Mission

I go into Helena's room with Ethan as they help me into my new outfit, Ethan was questionable about the design but I thought it looked cool.

Helena: He will be able to blend into dark areas and the material has high resistance, essentially it is like a veil of armour.

Ethan: Oh well that's good, so he will be protected?

Blue: Nah, I don't need protection, whoever faces me needs it more!

Ethan: Alright, don't get over confident and forget to stay safe

Blue: Don't worry Ethan, I'll be fine

The three of us leave and head back to the meeting room where the others were waiting. Leon, Claire and Jill were ready to head to the heli.

Chris: What.....is that?

Jake: Holy shit

Blue: Trust the process

Rebecca: Process? What process?

Blue: My process

Chris: Just....get on the heli

Blue: To France we go!

I grabbed my Desert Eagle and S&W while also equipping my grappling hook to my right wrist.

Leon and the others lead me to the helicopter, but it wasn't the normal typical one, it was those military types where space wasn't an issue.

(It's the one that Chris, Mia and Rose escape in at the end of RE Village)

Leon: Kid, one more time, are you sure you're down for this

Blue: I am ready

Jill: And what if you have to shoot to kill?

Blue:....Y-Yes

Rebecca: Okay, let's head to France!

Claire: Always wanted to go....just not in these circumstances.

I had my hat and mask down and just focused in calming my beating heart, I may seem enthusiastic about going on this mission but I was really nervous as hell. I only had a few months of experience and I was getting thrown in the deep ends, it's on me if I die, I just have to hope that I don't.

Rebecca: Blue?

Blue: Y-Yes?

Rebecca: A-Are you okay? You seem tense

Blue: Tense? Nah why would I be? I'm fine.....I'm fine

The others didn't say anything for the rest of the way until we touched down onto the south of France, we were on those fields that no one would really go to since it's isolated from towns and cities. Leon leads the way and uses a device to locate where this CORE is.

I pulled my mask up and equipped my hat as we use the long grass to hide ourselves incase they have people watching us. We tread carefully but for some reason I had a bad feeling.

Jill: Leon, what does the tracker say?

Leon: Well it says that it's....underneath us?

Claire: What?

Blue: Ah Crapbaskets

As if I knew, the floor below us opens up via five holes and we fell through it, we were separated but I can't help but feel amazed at how we were in white blue tubes. They have a secret base underneath the ground?!

That is cool!

Buuuuut like I said, we are separated now, I fall the ground and looked around to see that we were in some sort of base, so this is where Core resides.

Shouldn't they be worried? I mean we know where they are located, then again, they might end up killing us. I'd like to see them try-!

Core Soldier: The last one should've arrived by now, search for him!

Oh snap.

I quickly look around for a hiding place and saw that there was a door, I open it and enter the room, it was dark but perfect for me. I could hear the soldiers talking and wondering where I was, I'm surprised they're not going to search here.

Core Soldier: Dammit, where the hell is he? We restrained the others but can't grab the kid?! Spread out and look for him!

Damn, so they jumped Leon and the others? These guys must be strong, I'll need to find them and Ashley......wait.

I HAVE TO FIND THEM?!

Why do I have to be the Main Character?!

(Adam: Oh Blue, you're always the main character)

Who said that?!

(Adam: Shit! Abort! Abort!)

Blue: [Sighs] Guess I have to go and be that guy.

I peak outside the room and saw one soldier there, I take deep breath and crouch, approaching the unaware soldier and kicking him in the back of his leg. He falls to his knees in pain and I throw a ledt hook to the side of his face....knocking him out cold.

Okay how strong am I? He clearly is going to wake up with a concussion or at the Heaven Gates. Either way, I took him out, give me my achievement.

While Blue was moving around the base stealthily, Leon and the others were taken to the centre of the base where the leader of Core was.

They were on their knees and restrained from their wrists with many soldiers on guard but one of the guys stood out, this was the leader and the team couldn't see his face as he was wearing a mask.

Leon: Well.....this isn't how it was supposed to go.

Jill: You think?

Rebecca: H-How could we let ourselves be captured?

Claire: They got the jump on us

Core Leader: Welcome Leon S Kennedy, Jill Valentine, Claire Redfield and Rebecca Chambers. How nice of you to drop in on us

Leon: Hey, who are you?

Core Leader: We can talk later about who I am Leon, I want to know where the boy is

Leon: Boy? What boy?

Ada: I advise you not to play dumb Leon

Leon: Ada?!

Claire: Oh great

Ada: Hello Leon

Jill: Oh great, working for another organisation Miss Wong?

Ada: Oh you know how it goes Jill, business with well organised groups brings good value.

Rebecca: Does messing with Leon's feelings bring you good value?

Ada: We don't need to talk about it, now tell us where the boy is

Claire: Tell us where Ashley is!

Ada: Why do you even care about her? She is a liability?

Leon: Why do you even have her?!

Core Leader: It's simple Kennedy, we take the liability to force Chris and his team to rescue her, we even gave you the location of our base!

Leon: But why?

Jill: Wait....you knew that Blue would come

Core Leader: Exactly Miss Valentine! Blue Winters would jump at the opportunity to save someone he calls his friend....bring the girl out

Ada goes into a back room and takes out Ashley who was terrified but believes that she should get used to these types of things.

Leon: Ashley!

Ashley: L-Leon!

Core Leader: Now tell me where Blue Winters is!

Rebecca: You won't get your hands on him!

Core Leader: Oh trust me....we will

Jill: What do they even want with Blue anyways?

Blue's POV

I was progressing through the CORE Base at a stealthy approach, I had killed....a few of the soldiers looking for me....

It didn't feel right because they were still people but I had to remind myself that they were not good people.

Blue: Alright, time to finish business

I managed to find out that the others were in this main centre room, there were a lot of guards but I didn't know what to do. How do I even kill all of them without costing the lives of the team or even myself.

Eveline: Lure them away

Blue: Oh, you're still here

Eveline: Of course I am, I'm stuck with you

Blue: Oh, well let's just do what I got to do

I took out my Desert Eagle and got ready, I approached the main entrance just as the so called leader asks for my whereabouts. The doors weren't automatic which gave me a good idea.

Eveline:.....What are you thinking about?

Blue: It's time for a little trolling

Eveline: [Sighs] Oh My God

Core Leader: Call the boy

Jill: And why should we?

Core Leader: Trust me when I say this, you would rather he comes here right now...otherwise I would have to put a bullet in one of you.....

Leon: Don't worry, he is bluffing

Core Leader: Am I?

He takes out a gun and puts it to Ashley's head, the others were worried and tried to fight back but they were held down tight.

Ada looked like she wanted to intervene because it wasn't necessary but she knew not to argue with the Core Leader.

Ashley began to sweat and looked at Leon to help her, he desperately tried to free himself but then a knock on the main doors was heard, grabbing everyone's attention. The Core Leader looks at the soldier closest the door and signals him to do his job.

Soldier: Who's there?

???: Uhh I've got a Just Eat delivery for this address

Everyone: The Hell?

Solider:......What's the order?

???: Oh you know.....50 rounds of Lead

Leon: Oh shi-

Suddenly Blue breaks open the door with his Desert Eagle in his right hand and his S&W in his left, he didn't give anyone a chance and fired one bullet at the leader's face, cracking his mask and forcing him to the ground.

Blue: Hola Cabrons! Como Estas?

Core Leader: S-Shoot him!

Blue shot the closest soldiers to him which included the ones holding his team down, now free, they grab their guns and engaged in a whole shoot out. Blue takes cover behind a pillar with Leon and Ashley next to him.

Blue's POV

I can't believe that worked!

Leon: Nice of you to finally join us

Blue: Oh please, you can at least thank me for my masterplan

Leon: Yeah about that, how the hell did you pull that off?

Blue: Why did the soldier ask about the order?

Leon:.....Good point

Ashley: Blue you came to save me?

Blue: Of course Ashley, for the few months we knew each other, you're my friend

Ashley: [Blushes] T-Thank you Blue

Blue: Are you okay? Are you sick?

Ashley: Sick? N-No I'm fine

Leon: Where did you get that idea from?

Blue: Her face was red, did these people do something to you Ashley?

Ashley: N-No....

Eveline: H-How does he not know these things?! Even I do!

Jill: Oh my God

Rebecca: He is so innocent!

Claire: He is clueless but honestly, it suits him.

Blue: Anyways, cover me

Leon: Why?

Blue: I'm going to have a chat with Masky

Jill: Blue no-!

Blue: LEROY JEEEEEENKINS!

Leon: Who the fuck is that?

Eveline: Someone end my suffering please, I don't want to be in the mind of an idiot!

I readied my wrist grapple (which I switched to my left wrist as it would suffice better to me) and shot out the hook to the ceiling.

It lifts me up to the platform above where Masky was, he had already ran away so I chased after him. That Ada lady was going to shoot me but Leon provided that cover fire.

Blue: Hey Masky!

Core Leader: You're getting ahead of yourself on your first mission boy!

I chased him down until we reached a set of doors that led outside to a catwalk, underneath was the edge of a cliff and the ocean. I aimed my Smith and Wesson at the masked leader who turned his back.

Core Leader: So we finally have a chance to meet....Blue Winters

Blue: Yeah....who are you and what do you want from me?

Core Leader: Those are questions that will be answered another time because we don't have any at the moment

Blue: Oh I have plenty of time!

I fire a shot at him but he dodges it and takes out a unique looking dagger to stab me with.

I weave and then knee him in the stomach, he drops the dagger and I shoot him in the shoulder.

Core Leader: Agh! Tch, I didn't think you would be this well trained, Chris Redfield did a good job

Blue: Cut the damn compliments!

Core Leader: You're right, I should....but I should really compliment you more. The speed and reflexes of which you posses.......are spectacular, isn't it? Don't you wish to know more about yourself? Who you were before Ethan Winters and his family found you in the year 2005?

Blue: Wh-What?

Him knowing a bit more about me, threw me off and gave him the opportunity to dash at me. However, I was ready and shot him in the chest, he took many steps back and was getting closer to the edge.

Core Leader: W-Well then.......this is it for me

Blue: Wait no!

I try to reach over to him but he falls backwards and into the sea, I was left silent rage and punched the ground in anger.

Eveline:......Hey....you okay?

Blue: I'm fine.....

I put the S&W away and grabbed the dagger that the Core Leader dropped, I looked over the edge of the cliff and then into the distance, the sun was slowly setting and it looked amazing. I could just look at it all day, but I still had a mission to do.

I turned around and went back into the CORE Base again to help the others.

Blue: I'm fine......
