Mal pov

I couldn't believe I had forgotten about the picnic that I promised Ben that we would have today. I should have told him that I had forgotten about it he would have understood...maybe?

Anyway I was currently in the kitchen trying to figure out how I was gonna make a lunch fit for a  king in such a little bit of time

All I had so far was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and that definitely wasn't enough to impress Ben

I glanced up at the clock and noticed that I was almost time for our picnic date

Just then I remembered that their was a food spell that would make any food I wanted

I quickly got my spell book and found the spell making it turn the peanut butter and jelly sandwich into all of Ben's favorite foods.

Perfect I thought

*Time skip*

"Would you like a hot hors d'oeuvre?" I asked holding out an horsd'oeuve to ben

"Yes, please. Mmm! This is the best thing I've ever had." Ben said as I smiled

"So, you like it?" I asked

"I more than like it. I, uh... mmm-- so like it." Ben said

'Beef ragout?" I asked offering him another dish

"Yeah. This is amazing." Ben said

"Did I surprise you?" I asked

"Oh, yeah, you surprised me. This is every single dish Mrs. Potts made for my parents." Ben said "What did it take you? Three days?"

"You know, don't even ask me." I said

Please don't I thought to myself

"Yeah. Well, it means a lot that you stopped and did all this for me. Especially with all the craziness you've been put through. I've missed you. We don't get much time to be just us anymore." Ben said as I nodded in agreement

"I know" I said as Ben made a mess on his face

"You can't take me anywhere, right?" Ben asked trying to wipe it off with his hand which made it worse

"Uh..." I said

"Do you have a-- Do you have a napkin or something?" Ben asked

"I do! I packed some. I think I stowed them away. I can grab them." I said as me and Ben reached into the picnic basket at the same time

"What's this?" Ben asked as he pulled out my spell book

"I actually threw that in there super last-minute in case it rained or.." I said as Ben started to flip though the pages

"Speed reading" spell. "Blonde hair" spell. "Cooking" spell. And I was giving you props for fitting in so well, for doing your best. Ben said upset

Oh shit the cats out the bag. Maybe I can fix this I thought

"Take back this moment that has passed. Return it-- Reverse it--" I said as Ben looked at me realizing what I was doing

"Are you trying to spell me right now?!" Ben yelled

"Ben, it has been so hard for me!" I yelled back

"Yes! Some things are hard! Do you think learning to be king has been easy for me?" Ben said

"Well yeah I do. I mean that what you were born for." I said honestly

I thought we were doing this together! Ben said

"And we are Ben I just found a different way of doing it I don't see the problem"  I said

"But we're not, Mal. We're not. Y-You've been keeping secrets and lying to me. I thought we were done with that. This isn't the Isle of the Lost, Mal." Ben said as I glared at him

"Yeah no shit Sherlock." I said

"Then why are you doing this?" He asked

"Because... I'm not one of those pretty pink princesses, Ben. I'm not one of those ladies from the Court. I'm a big fake, okay? I'm fake. This is fake. This is fake. Take this feast, this sumptuous meal, return it back to what is real. This is who I really am." I said as I turned the meal back into a peanut butter and jelly sandwich

"Mal..."Ben said now feeling bad

"No. No." I said walking off with my spell book in my hand

Peanut butter and jelly is my favorite! I heard him yell as I continued walking all the way to mine and Evie's dorm where Evie was nowhere to be found

I was glad she wasn't there then she would have tried to me out of going back to the isle

It was clear that I didn't belong here and that I was lady of the Court material

"Let's blow this popsicle stand. Yeah?" I said as I put my lizard mom in a box with small holes

I soon arrived on the isle using the bike that Ben got for me and made my way to my old hideout to drop off my stuff then made my way to lady Tremaine's curl up and dye to get a new look where I saw dizzy tremaine sweeping up the hair and listening to auradon radio though her headphones.

"Mal! Is Evie back too?" Dizzy asked with a smile once she noticed me

"As if." I said as dizzy's smile faded "I, um, forgot that you guys don't open till midnight. Place looks good. So what is your deal? Has your grandmother given you any customers yet?"

"Ah, just a witch here and there. Mostly, it's a lot of scrubbing and scouring and sweeping. Lots and lots of sweeping." Dizzy said

"Sounds like the old Cinderella treatment, eh?" I said

Yeah, she's gone from Wicked Stepmother to Wicked Grandmother. dizzy said

"That's not really much of a switch. Hey, Dizzy, you used to do Evie, right?" I said as she nodded

"Yeah. I thought of the little braids." Dizzy said

"You have any ideas for me?" I asked as she looked me over

"Mm. The washed-out blonde with purple tips? The best of no worlds. You can't see where your face ends and your hair begins! Oh, what is this, "Bored to Death Pink"? Hmm. How far can I go?" Dizzy said

"The works? I mean, whatever makes me feel like me, but, you know… way worse." I said

"Yay!" She said as she got to work

"Hey! There I am. I said once dizzy was done

"Voila!" Dizzy said

"Voila." I said as I got up and  handed dizzy the money for doing my hair.

"For me?" She asked

"Yeah. You earned it." I said as dizzy smiled

"Hey dizzy Harry is...."a voice said as I turned around and saw my twin sister Haven

"Haven!" I said smiling happy to see her

"Mal your back" she said not to thrilled

"Yeah but I thought you would be happy to see me" I said

"Why would I be happy to see a two faced lying bitch like you" Haven said

"Haven listen I..." I started to stay as she cut me off

"No you listen! You are a liar! You lied to me! you promised me that you would come back for me and I believed you and I waited for you to come back for me but you didn't you were too busy having a great life with your boyfriend to remember me you even lied to Harry and basically cheated on him with ben Haven shouted

"I didn't mean to forget you it's just things for really crazy with Ben being king and stuff. And so what if I lied to Harry I was never gonna bring him to auradon anyway" I said

"Bullshit you just didn't want me there ruining your fun well guess what I don't need you I have someone who won't abandon me and yeah I see that." Haven said as I finally took in Haven's appearance and noticed the sword on her right hip

You joined shrimpy's crew?! I asked utterly shocked

"Don't you dare call her shrimpy again or I'll slice your throat right where you stand. She threatened pointing her sword at my throat

"Please don't. I already have to sweep please don't make me mop up blood too" dizzy said

"Ok fine but why would you join her crew? she's our enemy" I said

Wrong she is your enemy not mine and she's gonna be so thrilled to hear that you're back haven said as she turned and left

I couldn't believe it that shrimp turned my sister against me.
