A Trip Down Memory Lane.
In the vast meadows of gold, between the lilac sky as the blue clouds began turning into a shade of green, was a boy whose curly dark green hair was now a shade of white with a hint of red, skin colored a healthy pink, his clothes for once still had their original colors but his shoes were almost pitch black.
He was still figuring out on why this was happening but for now he'll push it to the back of his mind, simply taking in this weird world, watching as it seemed to shift so slowly yet swiftly. Before he knew it, he was walking down an amber path, gaining this sense of Deja Vu as he began to hear whispers.
The boy looked up, looking around as he saw mist that seemed to form shapes but it kept fading and completely disappeared when he passed by.
"You're just a quirkless-"
"Can I be a he-"
"You need to be more real-"
The young boy took off, running from his past, he wasn't particularly scared of it but it still made his chest ache and he wished he could remember why he came back to this world.
"I'll prove them wrong."
He stopped, taking deep breaths, more stressed than exhausted as he glanced to the side, seeing the silhouette of his mother and him, he could almost recall the supportive smile she gave to him.
"We'll be with you along the way, Izuku."
A small smile crawled up to his face, his freckles seeming to shine a bit brighter as he continued to walk, eyeing the forest that - to his surprise - had the same color - each tree were all colored an ash grey, leaves a shade of orange -, seeming to shift and change their shape but never the colors.
"God fucking damn it, stop crying. You look ugly when you cry, how are you supposed to be a hero? Come on, Zuku! Heroes don't give up."
The whisper tickled his ears as he chuckled softly, reaching the tall trees, looking up with a spark in his eyes as he saw more of the dancing shadows.
"You can come out now, I won't hurt you." He spoke his first words softly, laying behind the largest tree as he patiently watched the shadows dancing closer, whispers with gurgles of what sounded like growls and cooes grew louder as he looked on with awe at the first creatures that came near.
"Animals are the best." The first creature - or rather flock - to approach were what looked to be a type of bird that he wasn't sure what kind, for one he wasn't sure if the color was actually their real color. There was also the fact that they had antlers and their chirps were more of a series of cooes and gurgling purrs.
"Yeah?" There was only one creature that was as large as him, maybe even a bit bigger and despite looking threatening it seemed to look at him with respect.
"Yeah!" It had a head of a wolf but it had too many human/dog teeth and seemed to resemble a bit of a human he wasn't sure which it really was, the neck was a bit stretched, fur puffing out and looked so fluffy, it's body as big as a horse but had paws of a feline, a long bony tail and the creatures eyes were like a deep black abyss.
"Even the big scary ones that can eat you?" The monster grinned down at the teen, only gaining a smile in return, receiving a scratch behind his ears. It was no doubt that he was their caretaker, heir and king.
"Silly papa! They're not scary, that's just how they are." The other creatures still hiding were watching with excitement and nervousness, wanting to be held by their king but they were hesitant to show, they knew the heir was stressed so for now they will let the more peaceful ones come to comfort him.
"Oh just like you my little dragon, you could kill someone with your cuteness!"
For now, the little prince spent his time with his companions that have yet to be given a name but seemed to know them since the beginning of his birth.
When Izuku came back, almost falling head first into the bathroom floor he glanced at his clock and saw that he spent a good five minutes in this world. He stretched as he went to his desk, putting aside the planner his dad made for him, he really was the best, sure he barely came home but that didn't mean he didn't call.
The sight of the planner made him smile, he could almost hear the cheerful yell of his old man, ruffling his hair before he left.
"Here's something for you, little dragon of mine, I know you don't want to be a hero but U.A. is still gruesome." Hisashi smiled, handing him a binder filled with various meal plans and other exercises to help his son.
"Dad...I don't want to do this anymore...wh-what if the other kids think I'm trying to be a hero if I just want to be in Gen Ed...?" A five year old mumbled, looking up at his father with teary eyes, those bright green eyes reminding the man of his beloved, he felt so happy to see his son look just like him and his mother so perfectly. A symbol of their love that he'll do everything in his power to protect, this little dragon of his along with his queen changed his life for the better after all.
"Well, you've got an explosive pomeranian by your side, besides I know deep down you still want to be a Hero, Izuku." He smirked, thinking about the always raging blonde, he may be rough but he was always rough with the kids except for Izuku, the kid was young but he controlled his quirk better than any other child, he really cared about his son and he should really get that boy a gift as well.
"No I don't! Some h-heroes just do it for the fame and glory! And, and-" His prince tried to argue, beginning to hiccup as he ruffled his hair softly, bringing him into a hug to which his son gripped on his sleeve.
"Hey now fireball you know that's not what I meant. I said Hero, with a capital H." He mumbled, pulling away slightly to see the face of his son, chuckling at the deadpanned face.
"Dad that's just the same." Hisashi tilted his head, smirking softly as he gazed at his son seriously.
"Izuku, do you know why I was called a villain?" His smirk turned into a smile as he watched his son ponder over it, he was blessed with such a smart child he couldn't ever ask for more, quirkless or not, if you weren't smart you'll have a hard time surviving in this world.
"I-it's because you capture villains without a license, right? And..." He watched the boy mumble as he began to figure it out.
"Y-you used your quirk without a license b-but you were saving mom and the other neighbors! They arrested you for doing the right thing?" His little dragon was so confused it made him laugh, "Yes son. Your old man is a bit stupid but you know how much I love your mom and how much the Kuroshi's mean to me."
"You're not stupid dad! You just wanted to see mom and the others safe and the heroes were too into the fight, people called you a hero even when you were getting into the car." Izuku argued, whining as he shook his head.
"Son, not a hero. A hero is a job that requires a license. They called me a Hero, capital H. Now a Hero, it doesn't even need a license." He stated as his prince began to understand, he was always so smart.
"L-like helping the neighbors? Like cleaning up the park? L-like helping bandage up a friend...?" Izuku asked, spluttering as he began to tear up again, one thing's for sure, if you didn't recognize him through looks, you'll know he was Hisashi and Inko's child with how much he cried.
Like Parents, Like Child.
"There ya go! Oh you were always smart! There are lots of Heroes here Izuku, doctors that saved lives, workers who continue to build even when it keeps getting destroyed." He listed off, gaining a watery giggle as he smiled and kissed his son's head.
"But if you want to be a Hero, you're going to have to be strong and get smarter. Just take it from me, get a license Izuku, don't want your mother getting a heart attack." Hisashi smiled nervously, rubbing the back of his neck as his fireball laughed more.
"I won't get arrested if I don't get caught, Dad!"
"Oh, you're going to give me a heart attack!"
Izuku chuckled as he glanced at the picture frame, there his mother was holding his baby self, looking so done and tired as she glared at the sobbing curly man that had his finger being held by his baby hand. His father was the best.
"I'm going to make you proud dad, just you wait. Hopefully you don't get a heart attack once mom tells you though."
Too late, in another country, a curly black haired man almost fell down the stairs as he heard his queen speak with excitement. He sobbed happily at the end of the stairs, thankfully unharmed after stumbling clumsily but he did gain exasperated looks from his coworkers.
