It's been six months since Ben invited Mal, Carlos, Evie, and Jay to Auradon. Everything has been great, all the students here have accepted the villain kids and they all seem happy. Mal and Ben seem happy as ever, but Mal does seem a little overwhelmed by all the attention and work the future queen usually gets. I'm not surprised, she went from being a villain on the Isle of the Lost to being the King's girlfriend. That's a huge change.

Mal isn't perfect but who wants a perfect queen? She's Mal and she's great the way she is.

It's also been six months since I started dating Carlos and it has been wonderful. Carlos is the sweetest boyfriend in the world, I couldn't ask for better guy for me.

Dude is basically our own child. It's so cute how much Carlos loves that dog and I guess we are Dude's parents.

It's weird to admit but Carlos and I are in love with one another. It could be because we're the youngest couple and still in the 'honeymoon' phase which is what my aunt calls it.

Then there's my cousin who is still a chicken and can't tell Jane how he feels. I'm determined to get him to ask her to Cotillion.

I was walking with Andy, Carlos, Jay, Evie, and Mal on our way to our next class. I noticed all the girls we passed by smile and wave at Jay. Lots of the girls here have crushes on Jafarr's son and he is torturing them because he hasn't asked a girl to cotillion yet.

My hands were wrapped around Carlos arm as we walked. I mainly did this because of his bicep that got bigger in the last six months. He may be sweet and caring, but he is also insanely attractive.

Jay waves to all his admirers as we pass by them.

"Why do you torture them? Just pick someone to take to Cotillion already." Carlos berates Jay.

"I'm going solo. That way, I can dance with all of them." Jay remarks and I scoff at this.

"Ah! You're the expert." Carlos says and I smile.

"Um Jay..." Andy speaks getting Jay's attention. "If you were gonna ask someone, what's the best way to go?"

I smirk at this. He wants to ask Jane to cotillion.

Jay wraps his arm around Andy. "Listen, all you gotta do...is look like me."

I roll my eyes and share an amused smile with Carlos.

"Oh, ha-ha." Andy fake laughs and I saw Jane approach us.

"Here we go." I whisper to Carlos who kisses my head.

"Mal." Jane says and Andy freezes when he sees her.

"Hey, Jane." Andy greets, a little star struck by the Godmother's daughter.

"Hey." She smiles.

"I was wondering...uh..." He stutters nervously and I look at him with hope in my eyes. "If you liked the.... carrot cake last night."

It's a start. At least he's talking to her.

"I had the pumpkin pie." She remarks with a shy grin.

"Oh, cool. Um-"

"Smooth." Jay pulls Andy and Carlos follows him.

"See you later, Emmy." Carlos smiles softly.

"See ya." I wave shyly before he walks away with Andy and Jay.

"I have an opening for a fitting at 3:00. Who wants it?" Evie offers and I didn't say anything. I already have a fitting time with Evie at 1:00 tomorrow.

"Me!" Lonnie chirps before Jane can speak. "Sorry."

"Perfect." Evie smiles and looks at Jane. "I'll take you later."

"I'm still on for 1:00 tomorow.?" I ask Evie who nods.

"Yes and I already have a perfect dress for you." Evie beams. "I loved your Coronation dress but I want something better and something that screams 'Ice Princess.'

I giggle and Evie rubs my arm. Evie, Lonnie, and I move away so Jane can talk to Mal. Lonnie mainly talked to Evie about the dress she wanted before we went back over to Mal and Jane.

"I can hardly wait to see what your wedding will look like." Lonnie beams and I nod with a smile.

"Me too." Mal agrees before she realizes what she agreed to. "Wait! What?!"

"The Royal Coltilon is like getting engaged to be engaged to be engaged," I inform her and I heard Evie gasp.

"I knew it!"

"Well, everyone knows it." Lonnie remarks.

"I didn't know it!" Mal exclaims with distress. "How come nobody told me that?! Is my entire life just planned out in front of me..."

Ben appeared behind her as she was rambling. "Hi, Mal."

"Hi, Ben." Evie, Jane, Lonnie, and I greet him.

"Oh, oh. Quick moment." Jane pulls Ben away and I walk away with Evie and Lonnie with Mal following behind.

I was at fencing practice to watch Carlos and I was with the cheerleaders. I'm not a cheerleader, but I'm friends with the majority of them and they are all nice now that Audrey is away.

"Hey, Jane." I greet and she turns to me with a smile.

"Hey. Esmera."

"I was wondering if you have a date to cotilion yet," I ask her. "I'm not asking you, I'm asking for a friend of mine."

She blushes and shakes her head. "No, I don't but I'm usually too busy to have one anyway."

I nod at this before responding. "Well, I know a guy who would love to go with you."

Her eyes light up. "Who?"

"You'll find out," I smirk and she nudges me playfully.

I heard Jay start practice and all the boys lined up to fight another member.

The girls and I watch the boys assemble their positions before Jay gives the cue to start. I watch Carlos take on Jay and I smile at the sight.

The fight went on for a bit until it was just Jay and a mystery fencer. This mystery fencer was good, like really good, I don't know how Jay was keeping up with them. The fighter took Jay's sword and lunged at him but he swiftly dodged the moves. The fighter returned the sword to Jay and removed their mask.

It was Lonnie.

"It's Lonnie." Jane gasps with surprise and us girls cheer her.

"Go, Lonnie!" I cheer for her.

"Not bad," Jay smirks.

"You should put me on the team," Lonnie advises.

"Hey, w-what?!" Chad asks with disbelief. "No, no, no. We'll be the laughing stock of the league. A-and what's gonna happen next? We'll have girls playing tourney? Come on, guys."

"I don't see a problem with that," I tell the cheerleaders and they nod.

"Agreed, girls can do any sport," Jane says and I smile.

"So?" Jay shrugs

"So? Uh, have you not read the rule book?" Chad asks him and I roll my eyes at him as he pulls out the rulebook. "Section 2, paragraph 3, 11-4. A team will be comprised of a captain and eight men." Chad shows us all the rulebook and I look away, annoyed with Chad.

Does he just carry that around with him?

"Why don't you read the rulebook?" Chad asks.

"Okay, yeah, but you're down a man!" Lonnie reasons. "I mean, since Ben had to leave to do all that King stuff."

"Exactly, we're down a 'man.' Chad emphasizes and I glare at him.

"Jay..." Lonnie looks at Jay for help.

"I'm sorry. Coach trusts me, I'm not gonna stay captain if I just throw out the rule book." Jay apologizes and I sigh, shaking my head.

"If my mother thought that way, she would have lost the war." Lonnie retorts and Chad scoffs.

"Okay."

Lonnie walks away but Chad continues to pester her.

"Rulebook, rulebook!"

Lonnie is better than all of them, sorry Carlos, and she deserves to be on this team.

"All right, guys. Practice is over, let's go." Jay tells his team and they start to leave.

"Jane!" I heard Andy call and Jane and I turn to see him waiting for her.

"See ya." I smile at Jane who was blushing at me and I walk away.

I meet up with Carlos and we head to his room with Dude walking with us.

"Do you think Lonnie should be apart of the team?" I asked Carlos as his arm drapes around my shoulders.

"Yeah, she's a great fighter." He agrees and that makes me smile.

"I'm glad you agree," I say. "Unlike Chad."

We get to his room and Carlos gets dressed out of his fencing clothes and into his regular clothes. I didn't look but I may have glanced to see his toned stomach and muscles. He's not incredibly muscular like Jay, but he does have a good body.

I sat on Carlos's bed, petting Dude waiting for Carlos to finish.

Once he was done, Carlos joined me on the bed and I giggle when pulls me onto his lap.

He opens his laptop and we watch funny animal videos together. Carlos and I always watch these types of videos together when we're not making out.

I glance over to see Dude looking at the screen.

"Dude is watching," I tell Carlos and he smiles petting Dude's head

"I don't blame him," Carlos says. "I watch you half the time anyway."

I blush at him and look away but I feel his lips touch my cheek.

"I was talking about the screen," I tell him and face him, making our noses touch. "But, I watch you half the time as well."

"I love you," I tell him.

"I love you too." He sighs lovingly before softly capturing my lip with his. We kissed for a while, not caring if Dude was watching. He's a dog he can't talk or interrupt us.

Suddenly, the door opens and Carlos and I break apart to see Mal had entered. I could hear cameras flashing and people talking on the other end and I could see the stress and panic in Mal's face.

Carlos and I watched Mal walk forward and pace around the room, almost having an anxiety attack. She notices the tv is on and sees that she is on the tv, which she doesn't enjoy. Mal's face has been plastered on the tv for months.

She snatches the remote and rapidly shuts it off, tired of seeing herself on the screen. I felt Carlos tighten his grip on me as Mal continue to panic and freak out. My eyes grew wide when I saw her eyes turn a bright green color and she slowly calms down after that.

"Easy girl." Carlos tells her. I shut the laptop and put it to the side.

"What? You think this is so easy?!" Mal exclaims, clearly upset and overwhelmed. "You don't have people taking a photo of you every single time you open your mouth to say boo! I mean, it's not that I could even say, "Boo," but, you know what I--"

Mal paces up to us and Carlos looks away, understanding her distress.

"I'm sorry." He say in a low voice and I take a hold of his hands that laid on on my stomach.

Mal lets out an exhausting sigh. "Carlos, don't you ever miss screaming at people and just making them run away from you?"

I looked back on my boyfriend who was in disbelief by her question and scoffs. "You're thinking of my mother, and I was usually on the other end of that. So, not really."

I gave Carlos a sympathetic smile when I heard that. I keep forgetting that Carlos is a villain due to his sweet and lovable personality. I hate how much his mother yelled and verbally abused him when he was on the Isle.

"You two are lucky you can just be a couple and not have cameras in your faces." Mal complains and I gave her a sorrowful look.

"Don't you and Ben do fun stuff?" I ask her and she shrugs, still panicking.

"Sometimes, but we have to get far away for that to happen." She responds and I gave her a understanding nod.

"I'm sorry." I mumble to her and she didn't respond. "Oh!" I hop off Carlos's lap and look at Mal. "Did you bring it?"

"Bring what?" Carlos ask and I motion him to be quiet.

Mal remains quiet as she pulls out a small, red gummy from her pocket. Carlos stood up as well, curious of what the gummy was for. All three of us shift our heads to the door when we heard it open and see Chad had snuck in.

I roll my eyes at him. He didn't see us.

Chad carefully closed the door and turned around only to see us staring at him. He chuckled nervously and waved awkwardly.

"Hi. Just came to use your 3D printer. Won't be a sec."

Is this a normal thing to happen? Does Chad sneak in here often?

"How'd you get a key to my room?" Carlos asks him, noticing the key in his hand.

"Oh, I printed it off last time I was in here. Uh... you guys were sleeping." Chad replies and we just stare at him. "Look, I just-- Your printer's so much better than mine, and you installed these hacks and everything runs so much smoother than mine and--"

"Out!" Carlos orders pointing toward the door. "Now."

"Fine. Fine." Chad agrees and turns to leave.

"Chad." Carlos stops him.

"What? Hmm." Chad asks turning back to him.

"Leave the key." Carlos says and Chad reluctantly leaves the key on the table before leaving angrily.

That boy pisses me off. How does Cinderella deal with him?

I look back over at Mal and she was staring off into space. She looked lost in thought, like she was stressed about something.

"Mal?" I gently ask her and she looks at me.

"Hmm?"

"The potion?" I remind her.

She was still confused but remembered quickly. "Hmm? Yeah. Um..."

She revealed the gummy to me and Carlos leaned in curiously.

"So, this thing will make Andy say what he really feels to Jane?" I ask her. Andy wants to tell Jane how he feels before Cotillion.

"Yeah. I mean, this is a truth gummy, so take it or leave it." She tells me and I smile softly.

"Perfect."

"Wait, what are you doing?" Carlos asks me and I glance at him.

"I'm gonna help my cousin with a girl." I tell
him. "He's scared to tell Jane his feelings."

"Hold on, though. Are you sure that you want Andy to be taking this?" She asks cautiously retracting her hand. "Because this is gonna make him say the truth all the time, no matter what, and the only reason that I'm asking is because I know that if I took this right now, I would get myself sent back to the Isle. Which, it's not that that sounds super unappealing, but, you know..."

Carlos and I share a look and I shrug.

"Andy will take his chances." I nod. "He's desperate."

"Okay." She shrugs, putting her hand down. Suddenly, Dude hops off the bed and eats the gummy out of Mal's hand. Her and I gasp. "Ohh! Bad dog!"

"Oh no." I mutter as we watch Dude return to the bed.

Dude sneezes and the three of us gasp in shock when we hear a glimpse of a human voice. "Man, that thing was nasty!" My eyes went wide when Dude spoke and I was speechless.

What the heck just happened? Dude is talking like a human being!

"And Esmeralda?" I stare at the dog as he spoke to me. "Tell Andy to man up! And Carlos, scratch my butt!"

I snicker and nudge my boyfriend. "You heard him." Scratch his butt."

Carlos looks at me with wide eyes and Mal and I head for the door.

"Mal, Emmy. You're just gonna leave me with him." Carlos calls but we ignore him and leave the room together.

"Mal." I stop her and she looks at me . "If you ever wanna talk, I'm here for you."

She smiles softly at me. "Thank you, Esmera. I appreciate it."

We hug each other tightly before taking off in opposite directions.

Sorry it took me forever to finally get this story going. I was focused on other stories and stuff, but I finally got a real chapter out. I can't promise how frequent I'll be updating, but I'll try my best.
