Something softly held my other hand. I looked at it and saw y/n's hand. "Hey Peter it's alright. I just feel really weak all the sudden. I'm not leaving you." She smiled slightly her eyes were barely open. "It's ok. I just need to rest."

I let out a sigh of relief. I held her hand tightly. "You scared me for a second there." I laughed lightly. Y/n reached up and cupped my face with one of her soft hands. She wiped a stray tear from my cheek smiling lightly. I leaned into her touch closing my eyes for a second. I opened them and leaned forward kissing her forehead lightly. "Ok then. You rest now. Just don't leave me ok?" I said softly.

"I won't." She smiled and closed her eyes falling asleep.

"I know." I whispered as I kissed her forehead again. I stood up and walked over to my desk chair. I realised that Ned was still in the room.

He was smiling at me and y/n. "That was the cutest thing I have ever seen and I have seen a lot of baby animal pics." He smiled at me. I rolled my eyes. "You really care about her huh?"

"Yeah. I do" I nodded.

"So what happened?"

"There was this thing at Delmar's and when we arrived there was this guy. He had the same powers as y/n. He controlled her mind for a little bit and y/n saw this memory in her mum's point of view." Ned gasped as I continued. "He was the guy who killed y/n's parents and he tried to kill y/n too." I sniffed. "He knew about this formula thing that was the source of y/n's powers. Formula 394 or something like that... he-he tried to take it out of y/n by force." My breathing hitched. "He controlled her so she couldn't even move to stop it from happening. I-I tried to protect her... but he controlled me too... he would have succeeded if y/n hadn't stopped him."

"I thought you said y/n couldn't move?" Ned creased his eyebrows.

"Well that's what I thought but as soon as he controlled me she through him across the room." I shrugged. "I don't know how she did it but she did..."

Ned looked like he was thinking of something. "You said that as soon as he controlled you y/n could move again?"

"Yeah." I nodded for him to continue.

"That's it!" Ned yelled and I jumped a little.

"What? What is it?" I asked edging for him to continue.

"I bet you he can only do one thing at once!" Ned concluded. My eyes widened and I realised he was right.

"Ned you're a genius!" I jumped up and ran over to him shaking him lightly in excitement. "That explains everything!" I smiled brightly. "That's how we're gonna beat him.

I woke up to see that my bed was empty. For I split second I had a mini freak out and I quickly sat up on my mattress on the floor. I frantically looked around and I relaxed when I saw y/n sitting at my desk, playing with an apple.

Her eyes were frantically moving from side to side and in all directions and the apple would follow. She was smiling as she made it do weird things. It looks like she's got her powers under control. I smiled slightly at the sight of her smiling again.

"Morning." She smiled at me. "You snore by the way."

I laughed lightly. "Sorry..." she laughed too.

"I used to snore a little too so I can't judge." I got up and walk over to her.

"Looks like your control's back." I gesture to the apple. She nodded still smiling.

"I also may or may not have made you levitate too at one point..." She smiled cheekily. I laughed.

"Peter! You need to get ready for school!" May's faint voice echoed from down the hall.

"S***!" I jumped up. "Oh crap crap crap crap crap."" I paced gripping the roots of my hair. "What're we going to do? You can't stay here alone, but It'll look too suspicious if I don't go to school."

"Oh. Right. You have school." Y/n had a realisation face nodding.

"I can't call in sick because I've used that excuse so much lately it's a wonder they haven't called the hospital to check on me." I was so stressed. "What do we do?"

"Peter you need to-" May entered my room and stopped when we saw y/n. "Who is this!?" She clearly got the wrong idea.

"May! It's not what it looks like!" I was about to explain when y/n held a hand out towards May and her eyes glazed over. "What did you just do?" I looked at y/n.

"Instead of you explaining everything, I just used my powers to show her what happened." I explained.

"Oh. Okay then..." I looked back at May. Her eyes went back to normal.

"What just happened? How did I just see all that?" Mat asked y/n.

"Psychic powers." Y/n nodded.

"Oh! You're the famous y/n Peter always tells me about!" May smiled. I felt my cheeks flush.

"May!" I gave her an exasperated expression. Y/n smiled at me raising an eyebrow. "Anyway, May we need your help. I can't leave y/n but I can't skip school without looking suspicious."

"Easy. Just take y/n with you." May suggested. "Just say she's your cousin, staying with us for a while." How did she just come up with the best idea ever in like 10 seconds?

"That's actually a really good idea." I said a little shocked.

"What you you mean 'actually'?" May raised an eyebrow at me. I sheepishly scratched the back of my neck.

"That'll work well." Y/n nodded saving me from May. "I miss school." Y/n sighed.

"Wait? You 'miss' school?" May looked shocked at y/n. Y/n nodded. "She's a keeper." May whispered to me but loud enough for y/n to still hear.

"May!" I flushed red again.

"Ok so you two need to leave for school in 20 minutes." May reminded us.

"Umm... Mrs. Parker? I don't have any other cloths..." Y/n gestured to her cloak.

"First off it may to you. Second, I have some old cloths that may fit you. Come with me." May waved for y/n to follow her out. Y/n followed.

I walked out to the kitchen and poured some cereal for me and y/n. Y/n soon entered with May. I looked up a froze. I had only seen y/n in her cloak or in a hospital gown but this was very different.

She came out wearing a pair of denim jeggings, a black plain top with a red checkered outer. My eyes widen and my mouth hung slightly agape. "It feels so weird to wear actual cloths." Y/n laughed with May.

"Peter. The cereal..." May pointed at the bowl on the bench that I was pouring milk into and I accidentally had poured so much milk in it that it had over flowed onto the bench.

"Crap!" I frantically ran around grapping a sponge and some paper towels to clean up the mess. I was a deep shade of red. Once I had cleaned up the mess I handed y/n a bowl. "I hope cereal is ok. There are left overs but May cooking is poisonous..." I whispered to y/n. She laughed and May gave us a weird look.

We finished eating and I grabbed my phone off the charger running out the door. "We're going to be late! Come on y/n!" She ran out after me. "I don't suppose you can make a portal to the bus station?" Y/n shook her head no.

"I can only make a portal half the size I used to..." She frowned.

"It's all good. We'll sort this out." I smiled. She nodded as we kept running. We arrived at the bus station just in time. I was puffed even with my powers but y/n was fine. She hadn't even broke a sweat. "H-how are you-you not puffed?" I breath out. Y/n shrugged.

"Hey Peter!" Ned walked up to me. "Who's this?" Ned gestured to y/n. "Oh Peter where's-" he lowered his voice only speaking to me. "Where's y/n?" I pointed to y/n standing there with an awkward expression. "What? But where's all her stuff. You now the cloak, buff and whatnot?" Ned asked.

"Y/n needs to come to school with us. We need to lay low." I answered.

"And I don't think coming to school in my Murasaki gear would be 'laying low'..." Y/n added.

"True..." Ned nodded in agreement. He whispered to me so only I could hear as y/n walked onto the bus. "Dude. Y/n is so pretty." I punched his arm shushing him. "Hey! I'm not saying it like that! I just have no idea how's she's in your league!" I rolled my eyes walking onto the bus and sitting next to y/n.

"So, I'm passing as your cousin?" She checked. I nodded. "This is gonna be so weird." We both laughed.

"What are you to talking about?" Ned poked his head in between us from behind.

"Y/n's my cousin." I said.

"What! Aren't you two a thing!? She's your cousin!?" I covered Ned's mouth to stop him from yelling out anymore.

"Ned. I'm not really Peter's cousin. It's just a cover." Y/n informed him.

"Oooooooh." Ned nodded. "Ok. Because I was confused af just then" He laughed and sat back in his seat behind us.

Time skip brought to you by those moments in maths class when you write down something on your paper and look away for the board for like 2 seconds and then when you look back up you just see this full on rocket science and you just go "wtf!?"

We arrived at the subway and hopped off. Y/n stopped walking and looked around. "What is it? Are you ok?" I asked conserned.

"I-I'm fine. It's just- It feels weird... I've missed this..." She sniffed a little looking around.

"I get it." I held her hand softly. "I understand. After this is all over, we'll figure out a way to save you." I smiled at her she returned the smile and kissed my check.

"Look this is cute and all but cousins don't hold hands and kiss each other's cheeks." Ned interrupted.

"Oh right. Cousins." Y/n sheepishly let go of my hand laughing slightly. I frowned a little.

"Stupid cover." I mumbled. We walked through the streets eventually arriving at school.

"So what's happening subject wise with me?" Y/n asked.

"You can just stick with me." I answered. "Sorry if the subjects are too hard or anything..."

"Am I allowed to be a smart ass and answer questions in class?" Y/n asked making me laugh.

"Go for it. But don't embarrass yourself." I laughed.

We walked through the doors into the usual buzz of students. "Damn it's crowded here." Y/n whispered. I nodded. We all walked to my locker and I got our my books for the first periods. I handed y/n a note book and pen.

"Here, you can use this to take notes in class and stuff." I smiled. Y/n returned the smile and took the note book. She flicked through it and stopped at one page.

"Peter." Y/n gave me an exasperated expression.

"What?"

"You literally wrote down the formula for your web fluid in your science note book." She pointed to the page that had my formula on it. "That is the worst possible thing to do. If someone found this you would be in big trouble."

"Oh! Yeah. Right... Imma just gonna..." I grabbed the book and ripped out the page crumpling it into a ball and throwing it in my locker. "Problem solved." I smiled. Y/n shook her head smiling.

We walked into chemistry and y/n sat down next to me. "Peter? Who's this?" The science teacher asked gesturing to y/n.

"My names y/n. I'm Peter's cousin. I'm just staying with him for a while." Y/n answered easily. The Teacher nodded her head.

"Ok then. Let me know if you need any help with what I'm teaching." The teacher offered.

"Thank you. I will." Y/n smiled kindly.

Some other students walked in. I was talking to y/n about what we had been working on when something hit the back of my head. I hissed in pain and rubbed the back of my head.

"Hey Penis Parker!" Flash mocked me. "Eeeewww I got nerd brain on my book. I'll have to wash it. Who's the babe?" He gestured to y/n next to me shooting her a flirtatious look.

"This is my cousin y/n." I stated. "Now leave us alone for once." I mumbled the last part but Flash heard me.

"What did you just say?" He grabbed the collar of my shirt.

"Are you deaf? He said f*** off." Y/n glared boldly. Flashes eyes widened at y/n.

"Calm down. I was just having a little fun." Flash went to walk away but tripped over nothing and fell flat on his face. "Ow. What the hell?" I looked sideways at y/n who was looking forward smirking.

"Did you just-?"

"Yup."

I laughed as the teacher then started the lesson.

"Now as part of your homework you had to memorise the first twenty elements of the periodic table. Did anyone actually do that?" The teacher looked around but there was only y/n's hand up. "Can you list the first 20 elements?" Teach teacher smiled at y/n, who nodded.

"The first 50 actually but I can say the first 20." Teach teacher nodded for y/n to go. "Hydrogen, helium, lithium, beryllium, boron, carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, fluron, neon, sodium, magnesium, aluminium, silicon, phosphorus, Sulfur, chlorine, argon, potassium and calcium." Y/n stated easily. The teacher smiled brightly at y/n.

Everyone turned to look at y/n with shocked faces and open mouths. Y/n looked down at her book and started writing the notes the teacher left on the board. I passed y/n a note once everyone had stopped staring.

"That was frickin awesome!" It read. Y/n laughed lightly.
