The events of last night still ran across my mind as I walked into school to find Ned at my locker.

"PETER YOU'RE ALIVE!" Ned ran to me hugging me tight. So tight that I couldn't breath.

"I won't be for much longer if you keep hugging me like this." I choked out.

"Oh right sorry dude." He let go. "But I was just so worried about you! I saw the news and there was this pool of blood at the bank thing yesterday and I didn't know if it was you or-" He stopped. "OH MY GOD WAS IT MURASAKI'S BLOOD!?!"

I didn't answer that.

"WAS IT!? OH MY GOD IT TOTALLY WAS! IS SHE DEAD!? IS SHE OK!? PETER I NEED CONFIRMATION BEFORE I PASS OUT!!!" He screamed shaking me senseless.

"Ned! Calm down!" I tried to reassure him.

"How can I just 'calm down'!? IF SHE DIES THEN THERE CAN BE NO SIDERSAKI!!!!"

"Ned she- the what?" I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.

"Spidersaki. You know the spiderman and murasaki ship. Every is in to it." He smirked at me.

"What. Dude I-"

"Come on I know you ship it too." He teased.

"Look Ned just shut up. Ok." I changed the subject. "It was Murasaki's-" Ned cut me off by screaming.

"OH MY GOD! WHAT!? NO! NO WAY! I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS!" He screamed gaining attention by the passing teens. I covered his mouth to stop him from screaming more. "Peter. Why are you not crying over this? Didn't you care about Murasaki?" He lowered my hand.

"Yes! Of course I care about her Ned! But she's not dead." I clarified. "Thankfully." I sighed and nibbled on my bottom lip as the memories of last night reviewed in my mind. I bit down harder when the images of y/n's blood surrounding her ran through my mind. I felt the sting of tears in my eyes.

"Dude. Are you ok?" Ned asked. I looked away from him not really focussing on anything in particular as my heart sped up at the images of red flashing across my mind. The last thing she had said before disappearing.

What she had said. Her soft voice echoed in my mind "I love you." I remembered everything that happened after that including when she came back and suddenly the pain in my heart and the stinging in my eyes disappeared and a smile tugged at my lips.

I looked back at Ned and I was slightly smiling.

"Wait. So is she ok then?" He asked.

"Yeah." I smiled. "She's ok."

"Oh thank god!" Ned breathed placing a hand over his heart.

"Yeah thank god." I smiled brightly remembering that I could see y/n again soon.

"Hey you too are dating right?" Ned asked me.

"Huh?" I looked at him with wide eyes.

"Please tell me you've told her how you feel." Ned huffed looking at me with an exasperated expression.

"Y-yeah. I have."

"Really! Dude! What did she say!? Did she reject you? She probably did..."

"What? Dude that hurts." I pouted. "I'll have you know that she didn't reject me."

"Seriously!?" He jumped up and down. "Have you too kissed yet?" I flushed red as I looked at the ground and nodded slowly smiling. "OH! MY! GOSH! PETER! This is the best thing that has happened to me!"

"How is it the best thing that happened to you?" I asked.

"Because my best friend is dating a superhero!" Ned smiled.

"Dude." I scoffed. "In case you've forgotten. I am a superhero."

"Yeah but Murasaki's cooler." Ned shrugged. "Feel free to argue with me."

"No. She is cooler." I smiled. "The coolest..."

"Awwwww. Peter's in loooooove." Ned teased me.

"Oh shut up." I rolled my eyes and faced away from him because I could feel the great heat rising in my cheeks.

Finally. 2:45 pm! I ran out of class and down the halls, over the fence and over to Delmar's.

I grabbed two sandwiches. One for me one for y/n. I ran to the hospital and sat down next to y/n's bed. I was there for 30 minutes talking to y/n when I heard the doctors talking outside the door with my enhanced hearing.

"So she's been in a coma for just over six weeks now?" One asked.

"Yes. But unfortunately she isn't showing any signs of getting better. In fact yesterday afternoon her heart stopped for five minutes. We thought she was gone but then it started up again." The other said.

"The girl has no family?"

"No. Her parents died in the crash and it just so happened that they were driving from her Aunt's funeral. She was the only other alive relative. Now she has no one..." The second doctor who was obviously y/n's main doctor stated.

"That's very unfortunate... she then has no one to decide when her life support is turned off..."

WHAT!?

"Unfortunately, yes... we were thinking of turning it off this afternoon."

WHAT!? NO WAY IN HELL!

I jumped up from my seat and ran out the door and confronted the doctor.

"WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!? YOU CANNOT TURN OFF HER LIFE SUPPORT! YOU CAN'T! YOU HEAR ME! YOU CAN'T!" Tears were streaming down my face.

"I'm sorry young man. But she has no family to decide-" I cut him off.

"She has me! I'm not family but I care about her!" I yelled. "You cannot just decide to turn off her life support! You hear me!?"

The doctor looked at me almost sympathetically. "Sir. I understand. We will keep it on but the fact is that she is dying either way. She'll probably die within the next couple of weeks on her own..."

"Then please just keep it on until then." I choked as tears ran down my face at the thought of losing her again. The doctor nodded once to me as they both walked away. I walked back into y/n's room and sat down shuffling the seat closer to the bed and I held her hand in both of mine resting my head on it. "I love you. I promise that you won't die on my watch ever again." I whispered as my tears fell onto the white sheets. "I love you y/n."

"I love you too." My head shot up to find Murasaki y/n standing two meters away from me. I stood up and walked over to her wrapping her in a tight hug as more tears ran down my face she hugged me back burying her head in my neck and I did the same with her. "It's ok. It'll be alright Pete." She cooed.

"N-no. I-it won't be al-lright." I cried. "I-I d-don't want to l-lose you all over again. I can't." I sobbed I felt weak but I didn't care. All I cared about was y/n.

"Shh. It's ok. We'll figure this all out." I could feel her breath on my neck.

"I won't let them take you away from me. I promise." I breathed in and out now calming down. Y/n had this calming effect on me when I needed it most. She pulled out of the hug reluctantly but then cupped my face in both of her soft hands rubbing her thumb over my cheeks.

"It will all turn out ok. Alright?" She whispered. I nodded my face still in her warm hands. I leaned in and kissed her.

"We should probably go on patrol now." She smiled as we pulled away. "Something might happen so we should be there." I nodded smiling slightly.

"I'll go and get dressed in an alley." I smiled and go to walk off but y/n stops me as I turn to leave. She brings a hand to cup my cheek and wipes away a stray tear with her thumb. She gives me a reassuring smile.

"I'll meet you at our normal spot." She smiles before walking to the window and then walking straight through it and walking across to the building on thin air. She really is just amazing. I sighed to myself walking out of y/n's room and out of the hospital. I run into an alley and change into my suit.

I meet y/n at the building next to the hospital. "Hey there stranger." She laughs. I laugh lightly in return walking over to her. "Ready to kick some ass?"

"Hell to the yeah!" I laughed and was about to swing off when y/n stopped me.

"Hold on. There's something I want to show you." She smiled.

"Uh ok. Sure." I say as I pull off my mask.

She held her hands out in front of her and a portal appeared. "What!? Woah! Y/n that's amazing!" I awed. She walked through it and it closed. I didn't see where she went-

"Boo!"

"AH!" I screamed. "Stop doing that." She just laughed.

"But you give the best reactions." She giggled.

"Oh ha, ha, ha. Very funny." I rolled my eyes. "So how long have you been able to do that?"

"Just yesterday." She smiled at me.

"Huh? Ooooooooooh." I realised something. "Is that how you caught up to me in the alley?"

"Yeah. It was great. You are so easily scared." She giggled again.

"Yeah. Yeah. Whatever." I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her closer to me resting my forehead on hers. She looked into my eyes before looking up at my hair. Her played with he ends of some of my hair.

"You need a haircut." She laughed as she pulled a strand down to my eye level. "See you really need a trim."

I grabbed her hand and put it around my neck. I then leant in and kissed her again. She brought her other arm up and wrapped it around my neck.

We stayed like that for a bit until a wave of goosebumps rushed through my body making me pull away.

"Something's happening." I looked towards where I felt the danger.

"Where is it?" She asked me.

"Oh come on." I huffed.

"What?"

"It's at Delmar's. Again." I huffed.

"Wow. Poor Mr. Delmar. It's gotta suck having crime just so happen to target his Deli every other day." She sighed.

"Yeah we better go." I went to swing off towards Delmar's heroically.

"Peter."

"Hmm?" I looked to y/n.

"Portals. Remember?" She gave me a 'duh' expression.

"Oh! Right. Right. Yeah that'll probably be better... yeah." I smiled. She created a portal in front of her. "Ok let's go." I went to go through the portal dramatically.

"Peter."

"What is it this time?" I asked her.

"Unless you want to reveal your ego. I suggest you put your mask back on." She raised an eyebrow at me.

"Oh! Yeah! That would not be good." I laughed nervously as I slipped my mask back on. "Ok. Take three. Three, two, one." I went to jump through the portal heroically again...

"Spidey."

"What did I forget this time." I huffed looking at her with an exasperated expression (not that she could really see anyway) and dropped the dramatic pose all together.

"Noting. I just wanted to see how annoyed you'd get." She laughed cheekily.

"I hate you." I shook my head and just walked through the portal normally as if strolling down the street. She so killed my moment.

She followed me through the portal and we exited finding ourselves on the outside of Delmar's.

"So what's happening?" Y/n asked me.

"Dunno...." I crept around the back with y/n following me. "I can't hear anyone..." We krept inside on the walls. The place seemed deserted.

"Watch out!" Y/n pulled me onto the floor and I heard a gunshot. I looked up and saw the whole in the roof from the gunshot. Right were my head used to be before y/n saved me. Again. I looked around and saw a man standing 10 meters from me with a gun in his hand.

He pointed it at me. "Come out come out wherever you are invisa-girl." He mused. "Come on now." Y/n became visible next to me making me jump a little. She had a strange look on her face. Like she recognised the man.

"Who are you?" Y/n demanded. "Where did you come from?" Her eyes showed pure anger but there was also a trace of fear in them. The man shrugged.

"Well if you really want to know..." He held his hand out to y/n. She gasped and stopped moving. Her eyes glazed over.

"Y/n!!" I yelled after her. I went to run to her but my feet stopped moving.

The man smirked and just like that.

He disappeared.

Y/n fell to your knees staring forward with tears in her eyes.

"Y/n?" I knelt down to her. "Y/n what's wrong? Are you ok?" I put my hand on her shoulder and I cupped her face with the other causing her to look at me. "Hey. Hey. You're alright. What's wrong?"

She closed her eyes and swallowed deeply before answering. "Th-that man... H-he... he was there..."
