Another school day past. It was long and boring. Nothing out of the ordinary. But at least I could focus a little better today. Ned still had to bring me back to reality a couple of times again and he is convinced that I have a crush on Murasaki. I just continue to tell him that I do not but even I know that is a lie...

"Peter?" Ned asked.

"Hmm?" I hummed in response.

"When are you going to man up and tell Murasaki your feelings?" Ned pushed.

"What! Ned j-just don't alright. I d-don't l-like Murasaki..." I didn't face him completely.

"Dude. You literally just shuddered. And you cannot make eye contact. You totally have a crush on Murasaki!" Ned nudged me.

"Ned. Just shush."

"Peter's got a girlfriend." Ned mused.

"Ned." I got his attention. "I will web your mouth shut if you tick me off any more. Believe me."

"Ok! Ok! No need to go all Spidey on me." Ned threw his hands up in defeat. Before cough and whispering so I could just hear him. "Protective much."

I gave him a look that could kill an army. Ned just did the same defensive gesture and kept eating.

Liz left here over 6 months ago. I barely pay any attention to any other girls ever since then and now all of these feelings are flooding back to me. I wonder who Murasaki is in real life... do I know her? It would be awesome if I did...

I was currently swinging through the city once again hoping to run into Murasaki. To my luck I saw her on the top of the hospital building.

I swung over to her and landed on the side of the roof behind her. She was now sitting on the edge of the building swinging her legs back and forth. I cleared my throat lightly to make my presence known.

"ehem. Uh... hey"

She jumped up and faced me her eyes showed that she was scared but the sudden sound. She then realised it was me and relaxed.

"Hey... I uh saw you from back on a rooftop there and thought I'd um you know come and say hi..." I was a little nervous.

She just looked at me for a moment before (I think) smiling and saying "Hey." She then walked over to the edge and sat down again.

I walked over to her. "I-is it alright if I uh join you?" I asked. Damn it I stuttered.

"If you want to go for it." She shrugged. I sat down next to her.

"So... Murasaki right?" I made conversation.

"Yeah that's me." She smiled again. I mean I couldn't really see her mouth or bottom half of her face for that matter but I could just tell she was smiling.

"I wanted to thank you for the other night. To be honest I probably would have been stuffed if you hadn't have shown up. You ran off before I could thank you yesterday." I scratched the back of my neck.

"Oh yeah... Well no worries I guess..." She nodded.

"So... how long have you uh been Murasaki for...?" I was trying to get all of my questions I had throughout today and yesterday answered while still not being pushy.

She looked sideways at me. "Around a month..." She laughed. Her laugh made by chest feel all weird like Liz did... "I'll take it that you probably have a lot of questions about me that you want answered..."

"I uh... well...I... yeah" I just answered truthfully. She giggled a little and I felt the same weirdness in my stomach. "I just didn't want to make you uncomfortable..."

"No worries. Shoot." She smiled again.

"Really?" I was a little shocked. "You're ok with me just asking you like that?"

"Well yeah. I mean you are Spider-Man. You do a lot of good and I'm pretty sure I can trust you more than a whole lot of other people." She giggled a little again. She really seems like a cheerful person.

"Well I guess... yeah..." I was flattered by her comment. "I still won't push it though."

"Thanks."

"Ok. So what are your powers?"

"I'm not completely sure... I'm pretty sure it's basically all form of psychic and telekinesis abilities. You know like mind control and invisibility. You know all of those."

"So is that what you used on those two guys that night and me yesterday?" I asked making sure I still sounded nice and not intimidating.

"Yeah. Sorry about that..."

"All good. I probably scared the crud out of you so I cannot blame you." I smiled.

"Yeah you did. But now I know you're alright."

I smiled. "So how did you get your powers?" I asked. Her expression changed immediately to blank and almost scared. "Are you ok? I'm sorry if it's a touchy topic. How about I answer one of your questions Instead." She smiled again but I could still tell that something definitely happened to her... it was not good.

"Ok then..." she thought for a moment "How old are you?"

"16. Well in a month or so anyway. Close enough." She laughed lightly. "What about you?" I asked.

"15." She nodded once.

"I'm older than you." I smiled triumphantly.

"Yes. But clearly less mature than me too." She laughed.

"hey!" I pouted.

"I ain't taking it back." She laughed again.

"Forever hurt." I dramatically sighed we both laughed again. I was actually really happy that I was making her more comfortable around me and she smiled and laughed so much.

We talked for a while longer getting to know each other a little more. I was having a great time. Well that was up until Murasaki jumped up startling me.

"What time is it!?" She asked me.

"Uhh... 6:59 pm." I stated as I looked at my phone.

"AHH!" She jumped "I really gotta go! Bye Spider-Man thanks for the chat!" She waved as she ran off.

"Why does she have to run off before 7 o'clock every day?..." I thought for a moment before concluding that she probably just had some normal life stuff.

For the next couple of days after school every day when I went on patrol I would meet up with Murasaki and we would work together. She still left at 7 o'clock every day before I could ask her why. At first I assumed it was just because she had some real life stuff on but just yesterday, she was really late and it was almost 7 o'clock. She ran off down the street where we were walking and I could have sworn that I saw her flicker like not as in her normal invisablilty there was something different about it.

We were currently on the roof of a business building close to me school. Murasaki and I were having our usual talk as we did every night talking about each other lives and stuff like that.

"My uh uncle was shot back when I first became Spider-Man... I blamed myself for it because I didn't stop it... maybe I could of saved him if I was strong enough... b-but I just wasn't... I couldn't..." My voice cracked. Murasaki hugged me.

"It's ok. Look how far you've come. I know he's so proud of you." She honestly just had this ability to make me smile.

"I know... it's really nice to have someone other than an AI to talk to." I still didn't pull out of the hug.

"Yeah. I know how you feel..." She then pulled away. "I don't have anyone to talk to..."

"Not even your Mum or Dad?" surely she had parents.

"Uh... n-no... my uh parents are uh... y-you know..." She trailed off.

"Mine too." I nodded. "But I mean I can't complain I've got my aunt to look after me and good friends..."

"Yeah... I can't same the same though..."

"What!? You're telling me that you don't have friends in real life? But you're amazing! Your kind, funny supporting and just awesome in general!" How can Murasaki not have a million friends!?

"I-it's not that people don't like me... it is just that..." She trailed off. "...no one knows me..."

"How?" I ask.

"umm..." She rubbed her arm.

"You can tell me anything..." I grabbed her hand softly rubbing my thumb over the top of it. She smiled at me sadly. I could see it in her eyes.

"I-I uh... I need to show you something..." She stood up. I followed her movements. She jumped off the side of the building floating in mid air. I did not know she could do that!

She floated over to the hospital near the building down to a window I just crawled on the side of the building down to the same window. She grabbed my hand. I realised something happened at that moment.

I was invisible too! And I could still see her even though she was transparent as well! Wait. What??

She lead me through the window glass into a room... before me was a girl in a hospital bed. She was on life support.

Her heart rate low. Her body still.

"Murasaki? Who is this?"

I know! I know! It was fairly short! I'm sorry! I just had this massive cliff hanger and I couldn't pass it up! I promise the next chapters will be at least 2000 words which is what I try to make my minimum and this was below that! I know! I will try! But for the mean time:
