THIRTY-SIX
THIRTY-SIX
I sigh when I feel the hot water burn in my skin as I take a long and hot shower that same night. I close my eyes, letting the warm water hit my skin. Scott was almost killed by Allison's bitch of a mother, but Derek thankfully saved him. Derek had bitten Allison's mother.
I have no idea what that's going to be ended up like. I pressed my lips together, closing my eyes feeling the nice warm water hit my skin. Stiles had also told me that the Sheriff of the town, was no longer the Sheriff of the town. I felt utter sadness for them both. Stiles had cried in my arms, he said it was all his fault.
He said the way that his dad looks at him, broke Stiles.
I know the same feeling, my mother looks at me the same way. She barely even speaks to me, she's pushing me away. My own mother.
"Stacey," I froze at the sound of a voice calling my name. I open my eyes and saw nothing there. "Stacey," it was a soft whisper, I reached for the handle and turned off the shower.
In the distance, I can hear soft cheering and clapping. My eyes widen. What? How? Is this a joke? I slowly pull back the curtains, and my eyes widen even further when I realized I'm on the lacrosse field.
What?
The crowd was cheering my name. "Stacey! Stacey! Stacey!" They chant, I looked down and saw that I was in my prom dress. On the lacrosse field. There were even signs that I read was Stacey.
My heart was pounding wildly. The voices slowly mute, which I'm not sure why. My eyes suddenly then lead me to turn around, and I saw none other than Peter Hale himself coming towards me.
With the crowd watching and cheering me on, this feel so real.
What if it is?
I then turn around, trying to run for it, but Peter had grabbed my shoulders, and I felt his teeth sink into my neck.
I woke up, gasping for air. I look around, I'm just in my bedroom. I then looked down at my sheets which were covered in dirt and I let out a whimper, what the hell? I let a tear roll down my cheek.
"Leave me alone." I softly whispered. My breaths became unsteadily.
"Unforntuely, I can't." I jump and I saw Peter Hale lying on my bed next to me. "At least not yet."
"Are you real? You're supposed to be dead." I let out a shaking breath.
Peter then sits up and sits close to me. "Interestingly... that question can also be answered not yet. I promise everything's going to be back to normal, Stacey," don't trust what he says, Stacey. "All that you have to do..." Peter then puts a hand on my cheek, and I squeeze my eyes shut. He's dead. "Is every single thing I ask."
I let out a small scream.

"Timing is key here, Stacey." Peter walks me down my own staircase. "It all needs to happen by the next full moon. Do you know what they call full moon in March?" I looked down at my feet, and saw... I don't even know what this is, so, I gasped. "It's called the worm moon. They call it because it's the last full moon of the winter, and the worms would literally crawl out of the earth as it thawed." I gasp when Peter turned around and his face was covered in dirt.
"Kinda has the feel of rebirth, doesn't it?" Peter continued, I can't tell if he's real or not.
"But the full moon's on Wednesday, that's Lydia's birthday," I breathed as he dragged me into the living room.
"Excatly," Peter turns his head towards me. "And Lydia's birthday is always the party of the year, isn't it?" I nod. "Everyone wants to go to this party, so we're going to make it a very special party,"
"And what if we don't?" I asked.
"I think it's best if we just make a plan and stick to it. Don't worry, Lydia knows about it, too." Peter smirked over at me. "That way, nobody gets hurt."
"Why us?" I asked.
"Because Lydia Martin and Stacey McCall are not only beautiful, not only incredibly intelligent. Lydia's immune."
"Immune to what?" I asked, turning my head to Peter.
"Oh, that's right, I haven't told either one of you yet." Peter chuckled. "You don't know what you really are, do you?"
"Derek said that I'm a fairie." I breathe out. Peter chuckled again.
"He hasn't figured out what you really are." Peter rolled his eyes. My eyes blink, and I turned my head- Peter was gone, what the hell? Wait- I'm something else?
I then stare out the window, and my breathes became uneven. There was the Alpha. Peter Hale starring right at me in his wolf transformation, the Alpha. My eyes widen.
Peter came crashing through the window towards me, and I let out a huge scream.

"Clear your schedule." Lydia and I walk into Allison's room the next morning and Lydia holds up shopping bags. "This could take a while."
Lydia and I had been shopping, and it was hectic.
"How many outfits did you buy for tonight?" Allison asked as Lydia drops her bags onto Allison's bed.
"It's my birthday party, I'm thinking host dress." Lydia said, holding up a grey striped dress. "Evening dress, then, mm, after-hour casual."
"I noticed that you didn't send out any invites."
"It's the biggest part of the year, Allison. Everyone knows." Lydia comment.
"I was wondering if maybe things this year, you know, might be different." Allison said.
"Why would anything be different?" Lydia asked, sorted out her dresses. Allison and I glance at each other.
"Just because things have been off lately," I told Lydia. Believe it or not, Lydia and I were actually becoming quite close friends in the recent. I'm surprised, I never thought I would be friends with Lydia. Not even close. But here I am. "Things and people. Like Jackson."
She looked up at me. "Why do you care about Jackson?" She asked me.
"Do you know if he's coming tonight?" Allison asked her softly, and Lydia turned to Allison now.
"Everyone's coming. This one's American rag, mm, love it. For me, not either of you. This one's, material girl. It's for you."
We're going to make it a very special party.
That way, nobody gets hurt.
Those words keep replaying in my mind, and I want it to stop. But I can't. Peter keeps saying those words to me, I'm not sure if lasts night, dream, was a dream.
I squeeze my eyes shut, trying to not draw attention to myself.
I then hear a knock, and I turn my head towards Mrs. Argent. "Mrs. Argent." I said through my teeth, Mrs. Argent smiled at me. Lydia had then held up a blue dress against me, and I looked down at it.
"What do you think of this one on Stace?"
"Oh, it's lovely," Mrs. Argent said through that fake smile of her's. I want to yell, heck, scream at Mrs. Argent for almost killing my brother. I want to spit on her. "Allison, uh, can I grab you for a moment to talk? Just the two of us."
"Um, can we do it later?" Allison asked, glancing over at her mother.
"Actually, uh, to be honest, soon would be- would be better." Mrs. Argent said. I can't stand being around Mrs Argent anymore.
"Party's at 10:00." Lydia informed Mrs. Argent.
"Um, will you be around before that?" Mrs. Argent asked her daughter.
"I think so." Allison nodded.
"You think so?"
"I don't know." Allison sighed.
"Stace, the blue one looks perfect for you." Lydia smiled, and handed me the dress. I took it carefully and chuckled.
"You really think so?"
Lydia grinned at me. "I know so."
"Happy birthday, Lydia." I pulled Lydia into a tight hug, she was taken back, but hugged me back.
