Chapter Two

Chapter Two

It has been a hard day, I'm not going to lie. The Highschoolers had finally finished talking about me and my family.

I walked over to my locker and opened it. It was lunch and I'm ready to call Derek to ask him to come to pick me up because I am so done with school.

Suddenly, Allison Argent comes up next to me, opening her own locker. I smirked. This is good. "Hey," I closed my locker door and turned to her.

She jumped slightly and turned slightly to me. "Hi?" I faked a smile. "Oh... You're Faya Hale, aren't you?"

I nodded. "That's me. And you're Allison Argent?"

She nodded back. "Yup. Um, are you like, famous or something?"

"No, why?"

"Well," she speaks shyly and closed her locker. "It's just, I've been hearing your name all day..."

"Oh," I spoke dryly. "Uh, my family... Was well known, I guess, in Beacon Hills." But, of course, she probably knew that.

Her eyes soften. "Oh, I'm so sorry," she spoke and it sounded genuine. I shrugged it off.

"Oh, my Gosh, I love your jacket." I turned my head to see that a strawberry blonde girl had come over to us. "And you," her eyes trailed to down my chest where a triskelion necklace was around my neck. My mother had given me this necklace. "Cool necklace, where'd you guys get them?"

"Uh," Allison mumbled. "My Mum was a buyer for a boutique back in San Franciso," your mother is a killer. "I'm Allison. Allison Argent."

I held my necklace, visions of Laura appeared. Different visions, visions of her in the woods and then suddenly, she was dead, in half.

I tried to hide the shock. This necklace was more than just a triskelion necklace. It was a necklace where— randomly —I see people within my pack. Specifically, the Hale family. It's an odd necklace, but I'm connected to it somehow.

"Um," I tried to have a steady voice and I dropped my hand from the necklace. "It's a family heirloom."

"And you guys are my new best friends. I'm Lydia Martin." Lydia giggled and I tried to hide my annoyance. I only had one goal and that was to be-friend Allison so I know when attacks are going to happen. I just need to get close to her.

Suddenly, a tall dude that looked like he was a jock, comes over and swoops down to give Lydia a kiss. Lydia smiled widely and pulled back a little, their lips close but not kissing. "Hey, Jackson." Lydia had greeted. She looked over at us as Jackson pulled Lydia close to him. "That's Allison and that's Faya. They're the new girls at school."

Jackson nodded his head, his eyes roaming over both of our bodies. I held back the urge to roll my eyes. "Nice to meet you both."

"So..." Lydia continued. "This weekend, there's a party."

"A party?" Allison repeated, cocking her head.

"Yeah, Friday night," Jackson spoke. "You guys should both come."

Allison looked uncomfortable as we all stared at her. "Uh... I can't, it's family game night on Friday... Thanks for asking."

Friday is also when the full moon is. I had my suspicions as to whether or not she actually knew about the supernatural, considering she didn't seem fazed by my last name at all.

But, everything's adding up. There's a full moon on Friday, Allison claims she can't make it, which so clearly yells out she's going hunting with her family.

I felt their eyes on me and I blinked several times, tearing my gaze away from Allison so I don't look like a freak. I looked at the couple in between me.

"Oh, I'm definitely going," I spoke and Lydia's smile widened.

"Come over early to mine and I can totally help you pick an outfit!" Lydia suggested and I half nodded. Great.

Jackson looked back at Allison. "Are you sure? Everyone's gonna be there after the scrimmage."

Allison looked confused and cocked her head. "You mean like football?"

Jackson lets out a laugh. "Football is a joke here. The sport here lacrosse. We won the championship last year."

"Because of a certain team captain," Lydia smiled widely up at her boyfriend, running her hands through his hair like he was a goddess or something.

"I thought the sport was Basketball," I spoke and both of them turned to me. I'm not even lying, I remember Derek had been captain of the Basketball team and they were really good, too.

Jackson rolled his eyes. "It was. Where'd you hear that from? I thought you were out of town or something?"

I shrugged. "I used to live here a long time ago. My older brother was captain of the basketball team."

"Captain?" Jackson had then smirked and he looked at me even more. "What was his last name?"

"Hale," I responded and his mouth dropped slightly.

"Hale?" Jackson responded quickly. "Legendary Hale?" I nodded. "Well, we have practice in a few minutes. If you don't have anything else to do..."

"Well, I was going to..."

"Perfect!" Lydia had cut me off and grabbed both of Allison's and mine's hands. "You're coming."

--

I entered the sports field. Lacrosse players were everywhere on the field as Lydia, Allison, and I all took a seat on the top bench, watching over them.

"Who is that?" My eyes looked down at number 24 who waved at McCall.

"Him?" Lydia spoke, her eyes on McCall and Allison nods. "I'm not sure who he is... Why?"

"He's in my English class," Allison replied.

Suddenly, everyone was practising. The goalie number 11, McCall, kept catching every single shot which seemed to interest the two girls.

"He seems pretty good," Allison tells us, eyeing the boy.

"Yeah," Lydia murmured. "Very good." I sighed and leant back slightly, enjoying the sun on me.

Before coming to Beacon Hills, I spent my time in London with Derek and Laura. I had just gotten used to being there for six years before Laura decided to come back to Beacon Hills for the Alpha that she had kept talking about ever since she heard the word spread around London.

I'm not sure how, but she heard the word that there was an Alpha in Beacon Hills. Maybe, just maybe, she was hoping it would've been one of our family members that had somehow survived the fire.

It clearly isn't. Because what family member would kill their own?

"He's my friend! He's my friend!" My eyes snapped down to the buzz cut, who was talking about me in English.

I leant towards the two girls. "What just happened?"
