~~Haruhi~~

I saw her walking out of the store with some bags she was carrying.

"You seemed to buy a lot of things. Here let me help you" I offered to her.

"Oh no,  it is perfectly fine." she told me with an assuring tone.

I just nodded and asked her where she wanted to go next.

"It would be nice if If I could go and try something sweet and delicious for a change. "  she told me with a smile.

"Sure,  there is a shop that sells delicious desserts. " I told her while holding my chin.

"Oh! That is wonderful! Please lead the way! " she told me cheerfully....

"I could, if you let me help you carry your bags" I told her back.  I can't help it though.  She is carrying many things while I only carried a bag of groceries.

She finally gave in and we went to the Store called 'sweets delight'. We walked in  and sat down one of the tables.  Then a girl with brown braided hair with glasses came to us.

"M-may I take y-your o-orders? " she stuttered. I could sense that she is just a newbie. I looked at my 'acquaintance' and she looked at the girl, examining the girl.  

'Is she reading her mind again?  Maybe I am just over reacting '  I shrugged it off.

~~??POV~~

I looked at the brown haired girl.

"M-may I take y-your o-orders? " she stuttered. I could easily tell that she is a newbie here. I examined the girl.

'maybe I should read her mind'

((Oh no! She is staring at me like I am an ugly fool! But I cannot back out now! I have to be independent!))

This girl have social issues. My theory is that she is constantly bullied of her looks and she hid in the shadows and depending on someone.

Then I heard a voice in front of me.
((Is she reading her mind again?  Maybe I am just over reacting ))

I guess it was Haruhi. She had her observations right but sadly to say.  She has a little faith on it. I averted my eyes back to the girl.

"What a lovely dark brown hair you have! " I complimented at the nice girl.

"O-oh why thank you! You are the first person other than my parents who complimented on my looks! " she exclaimed but then covered her mouth in shame.

"What is the matter my dear? " I asked her.

She bowed down in an angle of 90 degrees.

"I-I am t-terribly sorry of m-my attitude e-earlier" she apologized

I giggled and she slowly rise up and looked at me embarrassed and confused.

"It is alright. I just really loved your hair.  Could you do me a favor and sit down for a moment? " I asked her.

"B-but ma'am, we are not allowed to sit and hang out with our valued customers!" she told us.

"It won't take long though. " I reassured her.

She sighs in defeat and sat down with me. I took out a cute hair accessory from my bag and I stood up.

"Do me a favor and do not move nor talk. " I told her with a gentle voice.

"Y-yes ma'am!" she did not move like a statue. I giggled from her reaction.

I undid the braids and I began to comb her long silky brown hair. After combing her hair, I took out a cute bunny hair accessory and began to tie up one side of her hair.

I also took off her glasses and put a little make up on her and she looks amazing!!!

"Haruhi what do you think?" I looked at haruhi and she looked at the girl.

"She looks more cuter than we saw her earlier." Haruhi complimented the girl looked down and hid her face in embarrassment.

"T-thank you" She muttered out.

"You can go now." I told her. she sat up and bowed down to me.

"T-thank you for your kindness!!" she thanked me.

"No need and no problem. Take a look of your own new self" I told her handling a my mirror.

She looked at the mirror and gasped.

"Is that really me?" She said in a shocking voice.

"Yup it is you. You just need a new style and to boost your confidence up." I told her putting my mirror back.

" Thank you so much! How can I ever repay you?!" She told me 

"Can you give us your special dessert? same with my friend here." I told her.

"Right away!" She hurriedly skipped to the counter.

I glanced at haruhi, she looked confused, happy, and suspicious.

((Hmmm. Something is kinda off here. Maybe it really is just my imagination.))

She shrugged it off and I looked at the the brunette walked at us carrying their best desserts specials. Me and haruhi got an elegant dessert. It is a Chocolate trifle.

When it got on our table Aoi, the girl earlier set it on our table with our receipt. Haruhi reached her purse but I gave Aoi a 5000 yen.

"Keep the change" I smiled at her she handed me a paper and took the money and left.

Haruhi looked at me at disbelief.

"You know, you could have at least let me pay my own." She told me.

"Oh no, I dragged you here so it is my treat." I smiled at her.

We ate all of our desserts and left the parlor. When we walked outside, I heard some raindrops falling.

"Oh no!" I gasped.

"We should run, my house is near here. If we hurry up, we will not be drenched in the rain." Haruhi told me.

We ran and ran until we reached her apartment. She opened the door and I saw a man sitting on the chair reading a newspaper.

"Welcome home Haruhi, I see you bought a friend" He looked up from his newspaper.

" Come and sit. We will wait until the storm ends." Haruhi gestured me to sit down.

I sat down, so is haruhi.

"So Haruhi, You never told me you have a new friend." Ranka told her. Yup I read his mind

"Well I just met her today at the grocery store. She paid all of the groceries I bought." Haruhi explained.

"Oh, why thank you so much! It was very kind of you!" Ranka smiled at me.

"No it was usually nothing. And besides Haruhi helped me around the City since I just got here from England." I told them.

"Well you speak so fluently in japanese" Haruhi added.

" Well I take japanese classes from time to time until me and my sister found our foster mother's family." I explained to them.

" My condolences Miss uhh-" Rank stopped.

"Oh, How rude of me, My name is Starriete." I handed my hand out to them.

"My name is Fujioka, Haruhi and this is my father Ranka, Fujioka." Haruhi introduced themselves to me.

Somewhat the last name caught my attention. Maybe my search is done after all.

" Fujioka? Do you know the name of Fujioka, Keiko?" I asked the.

(SK:I don't know the name of haruhi's mother so I will be naming her Keiko)

Haruhi and ranka looked at each other in shocked expressions.
