'BAM'!!!

"Whoa, what was that?" 12 year old Evie asked.

"No idea." Her brother Alex replied back.

They exchanged glances.

"It's coming from the abandoned shack." Alex pointed out.

"Let's check it out!" Evie replied excitedly.

Evie started running behind her brother, Alex. They were fraternal twins, which means that they were born the same day but did not look alike. Alex was a minute and a half older than Evie and he kept taking advantage of it. They started slowing down as they got near, and Evie could feel the good summer breeze past her and her brown, curly, long locks as she ran between the trees. As they reached the shack, Evie thought she saw a figure in the darkness, but when she blinked, it was gone. I'm just imagining things she thought. She decided not to mention it to her brother because like always, Alex always thought Evie was crazy.
