BATTLE

Hinampas ni Kiyoshi ang lupa. The ground cracked, and whirlpools of water emerged so suddenly. The sky was divided by night and day; on one hemisphere, it is a bright sunny sky, on the other, a dark gloomy night.

Napasinghap ako nang makakita ng army na puro baril ang hawak. I realized they were under Callista's control. Tsk! Those are innocent mortals! Napakabruhilda talaga ni Callista. Bakit kaya siya pinatulan ni Seraphin?

I grunted when a bullet almost hit me. Umirap naman ako at kinontrol ang aking orb. I extracted a part of it and made it a cannon. I closed my fists to ready a blast. Hm, sana wala akong matamaang kakampi ko.

The moment I opened my fists, the cannon nare an explosive shot. I cocked my head sidewards and smirked. Fire and smoke filled that side. They're just knocked down, and I have no intentions of killing mortals.

Si Callista lang ang pwede kong patayin, kasi hindi naman daw siya mortal. Hayop siya. Sa halip na ineenjoy ko ang buhay ko bilang normal na eighteen year old, heto ako at makikipaglaban sa kaniya.

Or maybe my life wasn't really meant to be normal.

"You didn't kill the mortals, right?" tanong sa'kin ni Zero. Sumulyap naman ako sa kaniya at tumango, "I can't kill innocent people."

"That's good," he answered.

"Don't use your powers too much," puna ko, "Dito ka nalang sa tabi ko." Ay wow, ang confident ko naman eh hindi naman ako super powerful.

"You'll protect me?" tanong niya. "Ako dapat ang gumagawa n'yan, eh." Tch, e'di naging yelo kang bobo ka.

Hindi ko nalang siya pinansin, at ginawang bow and arrow ang orb ko. Out of all weapons, this is the one I am most comfortable with. Sirius taught me very well.

I closed one eye and aimed several arrows with magic spells that can petrify mortals. I released it and it flew to differnt directions.

"Seems like Callista stole our cyber weapons," banggit ni Andrix na kasama si Lourd. Ni hindi ko namalayang narito na sila, which may mean that Callista is also here.

Nagtaka naman ako nang hindi makita si Kuya Nine. "Where is Kuya Nine?" tanong ko sa kanila.

"Nasa headquarters. Hindi na kaya ng katawan niyang lumaban pa. He's safe there," sagot ni Chastille. Tumango nalang ako at napabuntung-hininga.

"Four!" sigaw ng isa. Napasinghap naman ako nang hindi namalayan ang nangyayari.

One inquisitor dashed forward me, whipping out his daggers. I slashed twice in the hot air, striking at the Inquisitor. He dodged amid the dust I made in the air, then swung an axe.

Wow, ang galing naman neto.

I jumped and passed just over his swinging weapon. I reached out and pushed against a group of fighting inquisitors behind me, throwing myself forward. Nawala ko pa si Zero. Hindi ko na namalayan kung s'an ako sumuot.

I planted both feet in the Inquisitor’s face and kicked off, flipping backward in the air. My orb was afloat in the air, and I got it while flipping. Hmp! Akala mo ha. I smirked and turned backwards, I was stunned when I saw Callista in my back.

"Great job, Four," she said.

With an incredible burst of speed, she dashed towards me. I heard someone clashing in between us. Mists of snow blurred my vision. Zero. He had managed to somehow hit her with water shards.

"Zero," suway ko. He glanced at me over his shoulder, "Don't worry. I know my limits now." Talaga lang, ha? "Trust me," habol pa niya.

I turned my orb to a sword and launched towards Callista. I extracted a small part of my orb to my necklace to keep it safe. In case she breaks this. I plunged the sword to her chest, but it didn't reacher her chest and only her fingertip. I was thrown back because of the sudden force around her.

Hinabol ni Zero ang katawan ko, at hinawakan ang likod ko para suportahan. Suminghal ako, "She's not easy to defeat, huh?" Napatingin ako sa likod ni Callista at napansing mas lalo pang dumadami ang mga mortal na lumalaban.

Callista yelled, swinging her ice axe in an overhand blow as she landed near the two of us, but Zero pushed off—dodging her swing—then pulled himself right back. He even pushed me far.

I took that as a chance to blast magic power to Callista, just enough to make her stumble. Napalingon naman siya sa'kin at sa'kin na dumirekta ang mga atake. An ice spear launched towards me. Tinaas ko naman ang kamay ko na ngayon ay may pumapalibot na apoy. The ice spear melted, but there were more ice attacks.

"I know where your brother is, Four." Natigilan naman ako nang marinig 'yon. Nasa likod ko na siya. I abruptly turned to her with anxious eyes that I tried not to show.

"What about my brother?" tanong ko.

She smiled, "He's going to die soon, right? Might as well do it now."

Nanlaki naman ang mata ko lalo nang bigla siyang mawala sa paningin ko. I looked around to search for Callista, because if she isn't here… then she teleported to our headquarters.

"Nas'an na siya, Four?" tanong ni Zero sa'kin. Hinanap niya rin sa paligid si Callista, at napamura nalang ako nang wala talaga siya.

"She's at our headquarters, Zero. Nand'on si Kuya. We have to go now." Walang pasabi kong hinawakan ang kamay niya at inisip ang lugar na headquarters.

In a span of minutes, the noises of chaos and catastrophe was gone, and we stand in front of the quiet headquarters. I closed my fists when I saw knocked out guards of our quarters.

Then, a woman's scream startled us. Adara. Napapikit nalang ako nang may malakas na liwanag na halos bumulag sa'min. I immediately recognized whose light it was— Nine's.

With just one shot, the door blasted open. Callista greeted us with Nine in her hands, and an ice sword pointed in his neck.
