Chapter Eleven: Headmaster Roux's Recording of Stoll Finnegan
Finnegan: What? I-I mean, Sam doesn't really know Orchid, so whatever. So what if he ran into Orchid in the hallway? There's only one Silverleaf campus.
Roux: Okay, let me re-ask my question--are you aware that Sam went to Professor Green's classroom a few minutes before he should have? Also, before, you just confessed you wanted to clean Green's room because of Orchid.
Finnegan: So what-- [gets cut off]
Roux: So why should your big brother be there?
Finnegan: How would I know? Tell me, old man.
Roux: Don't call me old man, Mr. Finnegan, it's disrespectful. I believe you would know something since you're Sam's little brother, when you were younger, you two were attached to the hip.
Finnegan: Yeah, well, even people you know for your whole life can or will change, Headmaster Roux.
Roux: Are you implying something between Sam and you?
Finnegan: What? No! Stop twisting up my words, Roux! This isn't right, I heard you ask Orchid if it was okay for you to record her voice, well, where's my rights? You never asked me if I was okay with being recorded on audio. I don't get the same privileges as a Silverleaf student because I'm just a measly janitor. Damn, ain't that the darnest thing I've heard.
Roux: [nervous laughter] I wouldn't dream of it--- [gets cut off]
Finnegan: Then do better, Roux.
Roux: That's Headmaster Roux to you, Stoll.
Finnegan: Then that's also Mr. Finnegan to you. I'm leaving, you can't detain me for your flimsy, half-concrete theories. I actually have a job to get back to and I wasted my break thanks to you.
