Griff sped through the forest on his jet-black horse. He had to get his message out to Stead right away.
There was suddenly a vicious snarl that echoed throughout the woods, above the trees. His horse skidded to a stop and a figure in a black hood jumped down in front of them.
Griff's hand immediately shot to his tomahawk, only to stop when he recognized Eilene.
"What are you doing here?" Griff exclaimed, "Wait, how did you even find me?"
"Stead sent me," was her only reply, "I'm here to pass on your report to him."
Griff gave her a suspicious look. They may be "friends" or well somewhere around acquaintances and friends but she could go to...drastic measures when it comes to certain things.
She sighed impatiently and pulled out a rolled up piece of paper before handing it to me. Griff unrolled it and saw a short letter from Stead and his signature.
"Is that proof enough?" She asked and he nodded reluctantly. "Alright, hand it over."
Griff reached into his pack and pulled out the paper. In it was all the notes he had taken and he handed it to Eilene who quickly read through it.
"Four legendary beasts?" She snorted in disbelief, "You're saying that there's more than just the 15 Great Beasts we have?"
"They say that they're different," Griff explained, "Myths and legends from each continent.
"And you're saying that they wield some sort of talisman?"
"It's not exactly a talisman," Griff said, "Some item. In Amaya, they have the Heart of the Land, a powerful stone from the legendary Gila Monster."
Eilene scoffed, "Isn't that a myth?"
"A real one apparently," Griff muttered, "The Wildcat's Claw from Eura is next. Something with a sword. I don't know what's for Nilo but in Zhong it's-"
"The Dragon's Eye," her voice turned into a hush whisper, seeming to be lost in thought.
Griff gave her a confused glance, "How did you know?"
"I'm not surprised you forgot," she snapped, "I'm part Zhong."
"Right, sorry."
"Look, do you know how big a dragon is?" Eilene said, "If these things are real-"
"Which they are," Griff cut in.
"These...items have to hold powers much more powerful than the Great Beasts," Eilene went on, "Griff, a dragon is described to be bigger than Tellun. And Tellun is big enough!
"I know how big Tellun is," Griff replied, "but they're not...alive? It's just the items. There won't be any dragons...or well, I don't think so."
Eilene gripped the piece of paper tightly, stuffing it into her belt as he glanced at Griff gravely, "They must've existed at one point. The Hellans were the first known people to come to Erdas. The Great Beasts were here before them. The Evertree and the Wyrm made the Great Beasts."
Griff interrupted, "What's your point?"
Eilene looked him right in the eye, not once had he seen her so serious, "The Greencloaks have the Heart of the Land, as you've said in the letter, given from the four leaders of Erdas. They've hid Stetriol's identity for so long, never knew about the Wyrm or so we thought."
"How much more are the Greencloaks hiding?"
Griff was silent for a moment,
"Maybe it's not just the Greencloaks..."
They were both silent until Eilene spoke up, "Yumaris spoke something today. Something with a rock and claw. A circle and the other thingie..."
Griff gave her a look, trying to suppress a laugh, "The other thingie."
"But think," Eilene insisted, "The rock could be that amulet, the Heart of the Land."
"The claw obviously sounds like the Wildcat's Claw," Griff nodded, "And, um, are dragon eyes circle?"
"I guess it's close enough to a circle," Eilene said, "The 'thingie' must be the thing in Nilo."
They stood there in silence once more before he sighed, "Looks like i'm off to Nilo to find out more about...the other thingie."
"And looks like i'm heading back to 'The Torch' as Worthy calls it," there was a note of wistfulness as if she wanted to do more than just sit around and wait, "Stay safe Major."
Griff nodded, "You too, Cyra."

Author's Notes:
No, this isn't some new story i'm writing. Well, not exactly. It's just me sharing my theories in story form.
When I discovered what the Heart of the Lands really is, I remembered Anka mentioning something about a "Dragon's Eye."
Confirmed it in the wikia page! But guys...
Four heroes from the past... If the new ones are Rollan, Abeke, Meilin, and Conor... ARE THEY GOING TO TURN INTO SOME GHOST LIKE THAT GUY THAT GUARDED THE HEART OF THE LAND?
