The Family

"So, I think first I will torture the lady over there." Mask 2, who was definitely the boss said. He took the whip from the many torture weapons at the back of Alex's cell. He dipped it in silver and tore Alex's clothing off. As soon as the first whip landed on his back, I growled out.
"So, the rumors are true. The only way to break you is to break your twin. I thought I will have to torture you both." The boss said. He whipped him again. Alex didn't make a sound.
I was pulled again.
This time, I wasn't in my body. I was just roaming here and there on what seemed like a funeral. Don't tell me Alex died again.
Alex was went up on stage and delivered a funeral speech. I gathered from it that I had died. A number of roses and lilies were lying on my grave. Unlike him, I didn't have an open casket funeral.

I was pulled again, hard. I jolted up in my bed. Greg, Gregretha was sitting there. She was looking out of the window, her eyes glazed over.

I groaned as I sat up, my head was paining, a lot.

"Oh, you are awake. Here, take some food." She turned to me.

I just nodded, unable to form any coherent words. I took the plate from her, not bothering to ask how did she know that I am a vegetarian.

"So..." she began, making the atmosphere awkward.

I didn't reply at her bad attempt at making conversation, just ate my food and kept my eyes downcast.

She shook her head and left, leaving me alone, with my thoughts.

***

I walked down the stairs, my plate in my hand, looking for the kitchen. Another omega greeted me and I ignored her, as I have all the others.

I stopped at a room, where I could hear the utensils crashing against each other.

I opened the door slightly, and peeked inside.

There was one omega, and two children playing with the utensils. I entered the kitchen, almost slipping on the polished marble tiles. I kept the utensils near the sink, and took a cloth. I then wiped off the little bit of curry the had fallen on the plant near the door.

As I was walking out of the room, I decided to go explore, since I ain't asking anyone here about my family.

I entered the very next room, opening the huge doors to a hallway. The hallway was almost completely dark.

I moved my hand on the wall, frantically searching for a switch. Finally, I found it, by moving my fingers across every inch of the wall.

The hallway was quite long and was filled with portraits. I looked around the room to search for something to clear the dust with.

It seems as if the hallway has not been touched in quite some time.

I couldn't find any dusting cloth or something, so I decided to read as much as is visible and then come again sometime to clear the dust off.

I went to the first portrait. The face seemed like Alexander's, exactly the same. I read the description below the picture,

Alexander Lunette

Good

Age: 24

Power: Air

I went to the next portrait.

It was of a man, standing with his hand on a sword, wearing a tux. His blue eyes seemed rigid, cold and distant. His blond hair had red streaks, which gave of an evil vibe. His greek nose was the completely different to Alexander's button nose, while they both had a flat chin and slight stubble. I knew who it was, before even reading the description.

Bardroth Lunette

Evil

Age: 22

Power: Protection

What did protection even mean? Remember to ask this to someone.

Before I could progress any further, I heard footsteps coming from behind me.

I stopped moving and turned around, looking for the person with the heavy footsteps. A male around my age came into my vision. He looked royal and radiated a carefree vibe. He wore a blue shirt and had a jacket tied around his waist. His hand was straightening his hair, his brownish eyes on me.

"Hey," he muttered, finally pulling his hand out of his hair.

I nodded, not wanting to speak.

"So, you are the girl with three mates? The Original One? Alex's twin?" He asked, without stopping for breath.

I nodded yet again.

"Must be mute," he said under his breath.

"I will leave you alone in peace." His eyes looked conflicted, his voice strained, as if he had to force those words out. His eyes were darkening quickly and he ran out.

Weird man, I thought.

I moved on to the next picture.

The man stood alone, his eyes focused on something behind the camera. His blue eyes were shining, light reflecting from them. His brown hair was tousled, as if someone had just ruffled them. His aquiline nose seemed to fit on his circular-face. He was clear shaved, unlike Alexander and Bardroth, making his cleft chin even more prominent.

Cappalet Lunette

Age: 20

Good

Prophecy

He seemed familiar, but I couldn't place where I had seen his face from.

The next man in row was Drithium Lunette, and he was older than Cappalet. I guessed that they sorted the names in alphabetical order, not according to ages. At the age of 21, his azure eyes seemed more mature. His black hair was gelled, making his nubian nose stand out. His side-styled fade cut looked okay on him, neither good nor bad.

I stopped at the next picture. The girl in the picture looked like a mirror reflection of mine, except her clothes were different, more regal. Her Egyptian blue eyes differed from my baby blue ones, but the difference was almost negligible. She too had chocolate brown waves cascading down her back. She had a button nose like Alexander's. Her jewelry was the subject of jealousy. Her gold butterfly pendant necklace matched her butterfly studs. She wore a cream Halter dress with satin sleeves. Her white gloves looked beautiful, adorning her hands and holding a white envelope purse. Her other hand held the gown up, for me to see one cream Dorsay in her feet.

She looked absolutely mesmerizing, like a woman dolled up to perfection. No hair was out of place, no wrinkle on her dress.

Emeliate Lunette

Good

Age: 24

Water; Swapping

Her power was as good as hers. But that picture was mine. My name was Emeliate. But, shouldn't I be able to control water then?

Maybe that is what I'll practice here, instead of hand-to-hand combat.

I stopped there, hearing the bell for tea-time arrive. I sighed, leaving the other portraits for tomorrow.

A/N

*hides behind chair*

I know, I know, I am too late for updating. But as many of you, those who are following me, know, I was facing a pretty huge writer's block. I couldn't think of anything to write.

A huge thanks to my writer unblocker from the Treasure Community, for unblocking my mind and giving me inspiration.

Before you all kill me, I will tell you the pronunciations of the names in this chapter.

Bardroth- bard-reth

Cappalet- cup-PA-let

Drithium- dree-th-ium

I skipped Alex and Emily's name as they are pretty easy to pronounce. If you still need help, comment and I will write theirs too here.
