Alexander's (Alex) POV

She had really grown up, my sister. Looking at her from so far doesn't satisfy my wolf, but it i the best bet we got. Although, we could have just become invisible, one of the added benefits of elemental power, we know she won't be happy with us breaking rules. Even if she doesn't remember us right now, she will in the future. 

I could see her closing the book and keeping it in her cupboard. She tripped on her way downstairs. Every protective instinct was saying to help her up, but I knew I couldn't. She dusted her pants and shook her head, as if not believing something. 

She quickly rushed to her brother's room. I couldn't exactly see what happened there as the curtains were closed.

A little while later, she rushed out of his room, with a happy smile on her face.

"Hey Em, how are you?" Valentina waved at her.

"I am fine. Is that pancakes I smell?" She sniffed the air again. A normal wolf wouldn't be able to hear them, but I channeled the air to bring the sound waves straight to me.

Valentina began laughing. 

"Alex, come home now, we are eating that deer we caught yesterday. I have the rice and pulses for you." Greg called from behind me. She was always the passionate, caring one. "You know na, we have to go around again to find the other brothers and sisters. You can't always stay here, looking at your twin." 

I flinched. That word hurt. I wasn't used to it. It awakened the twin bond inside me. And I knew, with all that on her hands, Em wouldn't want another thing to add to it. She will find me, all in time. 

"I remember. Now, you also remember to show her one of our memories, in her dreams today. Are you prepared?"

"I am always prepared." She replied smugly, and moved off.

I shook my head and moved off to my cabin. 

Emily's POV

I kept the book in the cupboard, closing the door behind me. Just as I was thinking about Alexander's power, I hit my foot on the vanity and fell on my butt. I suddenly felt as if someone was protective over me.

I stood up and shook my head, not believing it. How can someone feel protective, if they couldn't even see me? I quickly rushed to my brother's room. I shut it behind me. 

My eyes widened. 

"How could you dare eat a pancake without telling me?" I roared, thanking the god for the sound proof rooms.

"It was not yours, why would I tell you?"

"Do shut up, you promised me last year that you will always inform me if something I like is being made." I slowly walked towards him.

"Sorry."

"Just a sorry? Seriously?"

"I swear to god Em, 'seriously' seems like your fav word now."

"Don't you dare change the topic." I quickly reached him and snatched the pancake from his hands, gulping it all down in one go. 

I ran out of the room, with a smile on my face.

I ran downstairs for more. I am glad I didn't have to meet any of the pack members for a while. 

I saw Vale in the kitchen and ran towards her.

"I am fine. Is that pancakes I smell?" I sniffed the air, I didn't even hear her question. I just gave a general reply.

Suddenly, I felt a tug inside me. It awakened my wolf and switched on my protective instincts. But, this effect is caused by twin bond, only. As quick as it came, it disappeared. I must have imagined it.

Valentina was practically wheezing on the floor.

Her laughter was contagious. I began laughing too, picking one of the  pancakes and eating it.
