Over the course of the few days that followed, Elijah wished for nothing more than to hold Scarlet in his arms but he knew that he could've stopped her from leaving.

Klaus beat himself up for ever hurting Scarlet, he blamed himself for her leaving but Elijah forgave him after Vincent and Freya found put it was Celeste controlling Klaus.

But today, three whole days after the incident, Scarlet was home. In the time away from the Mikaelsons, she had found her mother's and father's will. In their will they had left Scarlet the home she lived in as a child. So now she was living in the one place she could truly call home, the place she grew up and found her feet. She felt safe at last.

Until today, there was a knock at the door. When Scarlet approached the door the knocking grew louder and louder, this was the only time she had felt scared in her own home. As she twist the handle, Esther revealed herself. "Don't be afraid of me I'm here to help," she started and Scarlet invited her in. "I saw her in the town on my way to you"

"I think you should go back to him, go back to Elijah" klaus was quick to appear in the frame of the front door.

"Klaus, what are you doing here?" He look up at Scarlet. "Although I've never quite agreed with my mother, I guess you could say that there's a first time for everything." Esther smiled her son's direction. "I pushed him away what if he doesn't..." Scarlet was interrupted but Klaus's calmer voice. "He does" with those last words both Esther and Klaus were nowhere to be seen. Both mother and son returned to Abattoir.

Elijah

Esther was due to arrive at any moment but the Mikaelson siblings were unknowing of their mother's trip to see Scarlet. But Elijah sat hopelessly looking into his hands while on the opposite side of the room to his siblings.

To break the awkward moments spent in the room Esther entered the room in a haste. "Elijah!" She yelled. "A moment please."

After the room was cleared Esther began. "You called me here dear son?" Elijah nodded "Is there a way to save her, could she live a normal life, if she had never returned home what would her life have been like?" He stopped and took in the rather dense air "Could she ever be safe!" Esther nodded and placed two hands on Elijah's face. "My dear child always so noble, the best thing for your love is you but I think you need to see the results of her without remembering at this time,"Elijah's mind pounded as Esther showed him the if of the present. The room behind him went dark and gloomy until...

He saw her, he saw Scarlet. But she wasn't the same person he knows and loves. "She will show you the errors of your choice to save her and stay away" whispered through the air like a sweet song on repeat. Finally when the voices ended Scarlet awoke; Elijah continuously called her name but soon he realised that he was not a part of this world.

She laid their with hands placed neatly over her swollen stomach that Elijah had not noticed till now. "You getting up dear!" Bellowed a voice presumably coming from downstairs "Alright ,I wasn't but I guess I have no choice" she replied. Just her voice set Elijah off, her sounding so happy struck pain into Elijah's heart. Soon the room around him changed from a bedroom into a kitchen. The voice that had been all too mysterious had finally matched up to a body, that of Matt Donovan. Elijah was shocked but happy for Scarlet.

But what happened next tore Elijah's heart into pieces. It all started with a knock at the door and followed by a gust of wind that knocked Scarlet flying and Matt the same. Soon a figure appeared back towards Elijah, that figure took Scarlet by the neck and began to chant after the chanting had finished the voice said "No child of Rose blood will ever survive and now I can finally end the blood line!" With that Scarlet's heart was viciously removed and the room began to fade once more until...

Elijah found himself standing in front of his mother and soon finding a small river running down the right side of his face. "I need her to come here, I need her back." Esther nodded in response "The best thing for Scarlet is you ,Elijah" Elijah and Esther both smiled.

Hope and Scarlet entered the room as Elijah and Esther rounded off their conversation. "Where's Klaus?" Scarlet asked shocked to see Esther and Elijah in the same room. "He was just here a minute ago,why?" Elijah replied. "I believe I heard him go out, what's the matter dear?" followed Esther.

"Freya called.."

"See couldn't seem to locate Klaus...and there's been sightings of her in the quarter..."

"Who?" Elijah responded and Esther saw a vision she saw the very witch deemed to end the last Rose.

"We're out of time, Celeste is here" the room was quite they all knew what was coming but Scarlet was thinking about how to say goodbye. Shortly the room cleared and Scarlet and Elijah we're alone. "I need you Elijah" Scarlet whispered softly, "Please don't leave me again Scarlet, I don't want to say goodbye",

"I love you, Scarlet"

"Elijah, I know"
