Six

Demi stood begrudgingly next to her siblings.

After her small conversation with Onyx, she had left. Leaving the touring to Kekoa, she didn't want to be around Onyx if she was going to be confused about her feelings the entire time.

So when she was woken up by her brothers, spewing nonsense about Onyx's pack wanting to see their full potential- she thought it was bonkers.

Onyx claimed he wanted to know what he was working with and exactly what the humans were after.

So the sun was barely in the sky, and she stood in blush pink spandex and a sports bra.

Demi was frowning heavily, her body limp as she floated next to Knox. He held her wrist so she didn't drift away. Slowly but surely she found herself falling back asleep as her body went sideways in the air.

Onyx watched her from afar, her body laid out to view. He noticed her endless tresses of hair were free as usual.

Did she really expect to fight with her hair like that?

He was trying to piece together his thoughts with her body on display. A quiet groan fell from his lips, Sylvester who had been beside him snapped to look at him.

"What the fuck has been up with you man?" The Elf hissed quietly.

Onyx looked up from his position on the bench, clad in basketball shorts. He was still adjusting to the heat of this region.

"She's my god damn mate," he blurted.

Sylvester paused. He blinked.

Sylvester slowly turned to Onyx, his silver eyes wide.

Suddenly he hit Onyx hard, "Ow, what the fuck!"

The Elf spoke in a low, aggressive tone that was quiet enough not to catch anyones attention. "What the hell are we doing here then? Why aren't you on that man?" He frantically waved between Onyx and Demi.

Demi was humming herself to sleep.

"I don't want to talk about it."

Sylvester wasn't even next to him anymore, he was whispering in his warriors ears. He informed them all of the news and gossiping.

Onyx glowered as all four of his pack mates stared at him aghast. They blanched openly, not very discreet whatsoever.

"Are we doing this or what?" Ezra growled. Onyx snapped his gaze up to the Bordoa siblings. His mate was now being held against Knox's hip. He couldn't tell if she was sleeping but Knox looped his arm over her sideways body to keep her in place.

"Yeah," he cleared his throat with a sharp look to his friends.

"Who's first?" Georgie asked beside him.

"Not it," Kekoa pressed her finger to her nose. Both twins doing it in sync next.

They all trailed their eyes to the snoring Demi.

Knox twisted his face up, conflicted. "She's not going to be happy."

"Is she not battle trained?" Onyx asked with a furrowed brow.

"No she's trained, very well. But I doubt you'll ever see her full potential anywhere other than the battle field. She thinks sparring is stupid." Ezra piped up as he walked to the other side of his sister. He began nudging her hovering body towards the sparring mat.

"And what about her abilities?"

Ezra scoffed as he was busy positioning Demi, "I don't have a list on me at the moment."

When she was laying completely straight, Ezra clapped in her face.

The group watched Demi gasp only to fall harshly into the ground.

Demi blinked quickly in shock, rolling around with whiny groans. She whipped up in irritation, swiping at her retreating brother.

"Screw you!"

She rubbed her eyes as she looked up at Onyx, pushing herself into her knees.

"What're we doing?" she pouted and Onyx dug his nails into his palm. He shifted in his seat, trying to make sure his erection was not noticeable.

"Sparring," he hummed quietly for her tired brain.

Her glossy lips stuck out even more, batting her lashes at him. "I don't want to spar. I hate sparring."

Onyx fought back the blush creeping up his neck. He swallowed hard as he looked at her on her knees. Demi could see she was this close to getting her way.

His desire must've been palpable because Bear nudged him not so discreetly with his foot.

Onyx cleared his throat, "We have to do this. I need to know the extent of your abilities."

Demi stood slowly with a scoff, "good luck with that."

Onyx ignored her and nodded for Sylvester to spar her, he made a face in reluctance. Onyx didn't want to spar her himself, he doesn't know if he'd be able to control himself.

Demi stared at Sylvester that stood across from her. She gave him a wide smile and wave, behind her her siblings chuckled.

"Begin."

Sylvester was still hesitant, what if he hit his Alpha's mate and he went wild? Oh Gods.

Sylvester sucked in a breath and lunged towards the lax Witch. To his surprise she completely evaded his attack, easily side stepping. She giggled as she spun behind him, not once touching him.

Her giggle was cut short as she saw a horde of butterflies flying towards them.

She gasped and her attention was completely diverted towards them. Sylvester kicked towards her legs but Demi easily hopped over it.

"There's nothing there Demi," Ezra grunted. His magic was buzzing louder in his annoyance.

She covered her ears at his volume with a glare before ducking and slithering between Sylvester's legs swiftly.

Demi stared up at Sylvester finally who was breathing heavily in irritation. The girl hadn't even looked at him once!

"Are you upset?" Demi tilted her head in confusion.

Sylvester furrowed his brow, "I haven't even landed a hit on you."

"Oh I'm sorry," she stepped closer. "I'll try now if it will make you feel better."

The air settled as a serious wave passed over Demi, she examined Sylvester. He was of lean build, she remembered seeing a sword on his person yesterday. It would make sense the way he fought it seemed like he was extending a piece of him he didn't currently have.

In the middle of her examination, she decided to strike.

"C'mon Dem!" Knox growled in approval as they watched the youngest of the four. She was agile as she attacked him. Sylvester blocked most of them but she was quick and persistent.

Fists flew and Sylvester still couldn't land a hit in her. Onyx observed his mate, the way she moved was fluid. His Beast was roaring in approval at their strong mate.

He watched as she began focusing on Sylvester's feet.

Suddenly he stood up as a hard right hook caught her cheek and mouth.

Everyone quieted as Demi's head snapped over at the force. Even Sylvester paused as if not expecting to land a hit. Demi rolled her neck and faced her opponent with a wolfish smile.

She laughed loudly, blood spraying from her lips, before gripping his still outstretched fist, she twisted it harshly.

Her foot pegged into the pit of his knee and they watched him crumple.

While he knelt Demi snagged her leg around his neck, she rolled onto the ground with his arm flush against her chest.

Sylvester was subdued with his face clamped between her thighs and arm twisted up and immobile.

As soon as Onyx watched her legs wrap around his head he was stalking towards them.

Demi was still smiling as her lip bled, waiting for him to tap.

Her eyes met Onyx's and was surprised to see the heated look he was giving her.

"You're done now," he growled. Demi glanced to see Sylvester tap and slowly released him. Sylvester sat and caught his breath as Demi inched closer to him, invading his personal space. Her blood dropped down her chin.

Her face was right in front of his as she smiled widely, "Good job! I usually don't get hit! I hate sparring because it's so boring but that was fun! What's you're weapon of choice because I can tell how you fight that you're trained in one?" Demi began droning on and Onyx released a growl.

Sylvester was smirking at the small Witch, he thought she was cute.

Demi cut herself off at Onyx's loud growl, looking at him with narrowed eyes.

She turned back to Sylvester as he answered, "I carry two swords around."

"Cool, cool, cool!" she cheered awkwardly. "M-Maybe if you're not busy we can compare weapons because I have a-a bunch!"

Kekoa approached slowly and smiled gently at her little sister. She wasn't used to having anyone to speak to around her age besides them. It was nice to see her making friends.

"If you're done wasting our time, we can have the next pair going," Onyx snarled.

Kekoa shot him a glare but saw his gaze was focused purely on Demi. Jealously blazed in his eyes, so much so that it took her aback.

Interesting, Kekoa thought.

Keko knelt by Demi and diverted her attention to something else. Demi bid goodbye to Sylvester with a pat to his cheek and began to follow those butterflies she saw earlier.

Her body disappeared in a flash of bright light.

"Where'd she go?" Onyx asked loudly as his eyes searched for her.

"Off to her own world," Kekoa hummed as she watched him.

Onyx had begun taking deep breaths, probably trying to catch her scent.

"Why don't we have the twins go against one another?" she hummed to the distracted wolf.

Knox grinned as smoke fell from his mouth. Quincey who had been watching him, balked.

"Do you have like... gas or something, man?"

Knox laughed loudly at the question, fire spewing from his mouth.

All of Onyx's pack paused at the sight.

"Our mothers half Hell Hound. I was the only one that got the gene. So, I shift into a Lycan like my father but have the little fire breathing trick up my sleeve." Knox began stretching out his arms, ready for his fight.

Quincy and Bear looked at one another, quickly bickering over who would bite the bullet and fight him.

Onyx had mumbled off an excuse as he began walking away, putting Kekoa and Georgie in charge of the sparring for now. Kekoa and Georgie looked at one another.

Keko raised a brow in question as Georgie looked away nervously. He knew exactly where his Alpha was going.
