Demi paced her bedroom floor, she hasn't told her family about the man she'd run into.

She had lit all of her candles in her room, hoping that it would calm her.

(imagine the cat is Ollie hehe)

Why did that man make her feel this way?

Was he casting a spell on her? The noise of magic was loud on him, she's never heard that from a wolf.

She felt a side of her stir that wasn't active often, the Lycan side she inherited from her father.

Her belly was alight at the butterflies at the thought of him.

Or was she about to vomit?

Ollie was chortling at her pale face. She sat down and for the first time she held her hand out to touch him. The small dragon hopped right into it.

"You saw him, I mean it should be a crime to be that attractive!"

Ollie stared up at her as she began to rant. Her thighs clenched as images of his body plagued her mind.

"I've met a lot of people before, but none have made me feel like this. I mean- it's almost as if he's my..."

Demi trailed off as her eyes widened.

She squeaked as her face turned pink from holding her breath. She covered her mouth with both hands, Ollie sitting in her lap.

She uncovered her mouth, "mate!" She peeped out. Demi quickly her mouth once again.

Ollie squalked and squealed in response. Demi began speaking from behind her hands, her words were muddled.

"But if that were the case we would've- well he would've ya know..."

Her face was even more heated. She leaned forward to once again move her hand and whisper,

"Been horny."

"Mama says if we have mates then we should be prepared for the sexual desire to be overwhelming."

Demi paused as if waiting for Ollie to respond. When he didn't she continued.

"I mean it was there trust me," she scoffed. "I think? I haven't felt it with anyone before, not really. But- did he feel it? He had the aura of an Alpha. Alphas are known for claiming their mates within the hour of meeting them!"

Ollie tilted his head.

"Scandalous! I know! But if I feel like this then... why wouldn't he react?"

Demi threw her hands up in frustration, falling back into her bed in a heap.

Ollie chirped and kneaded at her tummy. She giggled wildly at the sensation before she glanced at the clock besides her bed and gasped.

Demi teleported quickly, Ollie disappearing at the commotion.

She fell in a heap on her fathers couch that occupied his office.

Demetri himself had jumped in his office chair, surprised at the flash of light.

He smiled endearingly at his youngest. She gave him a wide grin back.

Demi hopped up as if she hadn't fallen, brushing down her dress.

"Will you braid my hair?" She suddenly asked.

Her father immediately stopped what he was doing and motioned for her to come over.

She sat in front of him, feeling him tug out her hair ties.

"Is that group coming today?" She asked, feigning naivety.

Her dad hummed, "Yes they should be here now. You're siblings said they'd be late. And I never know where your mother ends up- she's always late."

Demi leaned her head back to look up at him, a cheeky smile pulling at her lips. "Not me."

"Never you Demi, you're always early," he stared down at his beautiful daughter. He was still baffled something so wonderful came from him and Elora.

Demi was a ray of sunshine, well- usually. Sometimes she could be a little demon, but she was his little demon.

Demi pat her legs to a random rhythm, eyes flickering around the room as she began seeing things.

"There's a couple of them," she counted the auras she began seeing. Onyx's group had arrived.

Everyone she ever met carried different colors, it was one way she identified people. She recognized the strongest aura of them all.

"Yes, they're a rouge pack. Lead by a Wolf, stronger than I've ever heard of before. He's dangerous Demi, I want you to be cautious if him. He has two twin wolves with him, an Elf, and a Vampire."

"They have twins too!" she cheered. Suddenly she paused and turned to her father with a raised eyebrow.

"And a Vamp?"

"Aye," he gruffed. "I've heard they get along quite well. Very odd dynamic."

Her dad finished off two braids in record time, years of doing her lengthy hair had paid off.

A sudden knock at the door had startled Demi. Her heart pounded in her ears, she heard his music.

"Go to your mother, tell her they're here. I'd prefer it if you all came after the meeting." Demi knew she wouldn't be listening to him however- she just needed to find her confidence.

"I'll go get Keko," she looked up at him with puppy eyes before teleporting away.

He rolled his hazel eyes.

"Alright- or don't listen to dad it's fine." Demetri spoke to the empty room with a heavy sigh.

Demetri strode to open the door. He pushed a polite smile onto his face as he greeted the men he invited onto his face.

"Thank you for coming. I'm very grateful you accepted my offer, Onyx," his eyes fell to who he could only assume was Onyx. The man was barely shorter than himself, his shorter hair was pitch black. And a matching set of black eyes met his own, his pale face didn't give away any emotion.

The man's wolf was palpable, Demetri was amazed. He'd never met a Wolf who felt as powerful as a Lycan.

Onyx opened his mouth to respond, suddenly inhaling deeply. His black eyes searched behind him almost frantically.

Demetri rose a brow unamusedly. Why was he trying to scent his daughter so bad?

Besides the Onyx Wolf, was a blonde vampire with brown skin. His red eyes bounced between his leader and the Lycan.

He knocked an elbow into his leaders side. Onyx brought himself back and shook Demetri's hand.

Behind him Demetri greeted the twin wolves, they were both gingers. They seemed to be built like Beta's, they were impressive. And finally, an Elf that was silent and observing the surroundings.

His eyes were silver and his skin was dark, a short thick beard decorating most of his face.

"Thank you for having us," Onyx's baritone voice suddenly forced itself out.

Onyx's mind was racing. He was surrounded by Demi's scent. Her father reeked of it. He had no justification for his jealousy, but he knew he too wanted to be coated in her scent too.

Honey and toffee nut, he thought. His beast, in the back of his mind was roaring. It clawed to get out.

He was weakened at the pain, it'd never been this wild before. Not since it'd awakened all those years ago.

He was supposed to be focusing. If he could gain asylum from Demetri, the Lycan King, he would no longer be considered a rouge group.

Just as they began speaking the door opened loudly.

Honey and toffee nut flooded his senses.

Demi peaked her head in, her eyes meeting Onyx's immediately. She sucked in a breath as her father gave her an apprehensive look.  Demetri didn't want her being overwhelmed in meeting them all now. He's especially didn't like speaking of such dangerous people that were trying to hurt Demi, in front of Demi.

Onyx panted as he watched her sway towards her father with her hands behind her back sheepishly. Her sultry lashes brushed her cheeks and her glossy lips pouted at her father.

Her dress rode up her thick thighs as she walked in meekly.

Onyx's breath hitched.

Her father looked at her in annoyance as Kekoa followed after her.

"She insisted," the oldest mumbled as if she was equally irritated.

Demi didn't stop herself from hopping quickly over as she came to sit on the arm of her fathers chair, glancing over at the Alpha wolf in the room.

He shifted at the intensity of her gaze. Kekoa, who just wanted to keep an eye on her sister who was acting weirder, leaned against the door. She stood in a collard shirt halfway tucked into dress pants.

"Y-you guys are going to talk about me. I want to be here."

"Alright, princess," her dad mumbled appeasingly. The dynamic was obvious. Demi was in fact a princess, she got what she wanted.

She crossed her legs tightly, Onyx's eyes focused on the smooth skin revealed to him. He slowly cleared his throat before leaning forward and resting his elbows on his knees.

"Our group has been labeled vigilantes, or just plain outlaws at this point. We've always needed to be on the move. We're all... rejects from our own cultures. Georgie, who was outcasted from his coven for failing to target unsuspecting humans. Sylvester resented his elven family for black market dealings they'd been involved with. The twins mother died in birth, they were persecuted from then on in the pack and by their father." Onyx paused and glanced at his own hands.

"And me, well there are many rumors circulating as to how I ended up the way I am. But we found each other, and they look up to me. I've only wanted for them to be safe, they're my friends." Onyx rubbed his hand over his jaw and met Demetri's gaze.

"We've ran into many groups of humans like the one thats been bothering your daughter," his eyes jumped to Demi who stared at him. "We know how they work and we know their higher up people. They're notorious for taking advantage of vulnerable people. I understand that they've been a problem for you?"

Demetri took a deep breath, "A group of humans have been targeting magic wielders. They think they've found a way to suck the magical essence from someone and turn it into weapons. They want to be the strongest species again."

Demetri looked at his daughter with sorrowful eyes, "They were going to do this to my daughter. Take her magic and kill her in the process."

Onyx clenched his fists in anger.

Demi patted her dads shoulder, "I wouldn't have let them."

"We just need more manpower to deal with
the situation. My family, half of them are magic wielders and you can understand my hesitancy on sending them out. The council isn't convinced enough to send out any large armies. I have to do this with small groups, if I used the Lycan army we'd only be giving them more attention. I don't have enough information to react without jeopardizing our upper hand."

"I'd like an alliance between us. You can stay on my land, I know you are usually in the road but you're small pack probably has a base of some sorts? If you need anything from there we can open a portal for you."

Onyx heaved a sigh of relief. "We do, it's a small compound for training and such. If we need anything we'll be sure to let you know."

Both men leaned forward, clasping their hands. At the contact, a sizzling sounded. This was the sound of magic sealing their agreement.
