I Know Who You Think You Are

Brendon was in an all around good mood. There was a permanent smile decorating his face. Today was going to be a good day. He'd spent the majority of last night talking to Ryan. And by majority, he meant all of last night. Ryan didn't give him a chance to associate with anyone else. But Brendon wasn't complaining. The other people were probably too stuck up to want to talk to him anyway. At least Ryan seemed like the down to earth rich kid who didn't flaunt it around everywhere he went.

The door opened to Brendon's room. He glanced around just as a very disheveled Patrick walked in. He didn't even greet Brendon. He drug himself directly to his bed and flopped down on top of it. Groaning in the process. Brendon walked over to sit across from Patrick on his own bed.

"Well good morning to you too, stranger."

Patrick mumbled something into his pillow.

"Thanks for completely abandoning me yesterday."

Patrick turned his face away from the pillow. "You said you were okay just standing with Ryan."

"Yeah, while he showed you the house. Not until I left." He laughed.

"What time did you leave?"

"Midnight."

"Ryan." He groaned. "That's so uncool."

"And you know all about being cool, right?" He teased.

"Fuck you. I know not to leave a party at midnight like I'm Cinderella or something."

"Yeah. You leave the party at," He glanced up at the wall clock. "Ten in the morning."

"What can I say? I party hard."

"What the hell did you do all night?"

Patrick tried to bury his face in his pillow before Brendon noticed the blush taking over his skin. But he wasn't fast enough. Brendon saw. And now Brandon was curious.

"Patrick?"

He mumbled into the pillow again.

"What did you do?"

"Nothing." Came his muffled response.

"Tell me!"

Brendon jumped up from his spot on his bed and dived onto Patrick's back. Patrick winced, turning to his side and literally kicking Brendon off the bed. He landed in the floor with a muted thud.

"Stop. I have a slight hangover and my body is sore."

"Did someone do something to you?" Worry took over Brendon. He stood up and dusted off his pants.

"You can say that." He blushed again.

"Pat?"

"I lost my virginity last night." He was trying to keep from smiling too widely.

"You what?! To who? How? Where? Why?"

"I- uh, you know, had sex. W-With-" He turned back into the pillow and said the name.

"With who?"

He said it again.

"Who?"

"Pete!" He looked at Brendon and yelled.

Brendon's hands came up to cover the gasp he knew was coming. "Hayley's Pete?"

"Just Pete."

"But you know Hayley is in love with him! And she's your friend!"

"Hayley is in love with about twenty guys. And Pete's gay. He doesn't even like her."

"But still-"

"I thought we were friends. Why can't you be happy for me?"

"I-I am happy for you. I just- I'm happy." Brendon nodded the thought away. "How was it?"

"At first it was scary. Because Pete doesn't exactly have a small-"

"Spare me the details!" He covered his ears dramatically. "I was expecting an okay or a pretty good."

"It was great. He was really nice about it being my first time. Which you don't expect from a guy like Pete. We foreplayed for an hour or two and then we just... Did it."

"Did it hurt?" He found himself asking.

"Hell yes. Even with the all the lube. But the hurt didn't last too long. It was weird for a bit and then it was- it was." Patrick lifted the pillow and covered his face screaming into it.

Brendon laughed. "So now I'm the only virgin in the room. Cool."

Their door opened again. Brendon expected it to be Pete again for some reason. But of course it wasn't. Pete seemed like the popular type. He didn't want to say it to Patrick, but he was afraid that he may have just used Patrick for sex. And now he was never going to talk to him again. That happened a lot in colleges, right?

Joe, Spencer and Hayley all walked into the room. Sitting on Brendon's bed without asking. But Brendon wasn't complaining. That's just what friends did. He'd never had a lot of friends so he was going to appreciate the ones he had now.

"We know you two went to a Gerard Way private party."

"Yeah. So?"

"So spill! How could you guys go and not take us?"

"It's an invitation only party." Patrick explained.

"Then who the hell invited you guys?"

"Pete." Brendon answered without thinking.

"Pete?" Hayley squealed. "My Pete? Did he mention me?"

Brendon shook his head. "Not quite."

"He probably wanted to invite me too. We had a moment in that hall."

"Probably not." Spencer rolled his eyes. Hayley punched him. Joe laughed.

"Are you guys going to another party tonight?" Joe asked.

"We weren't invited to one." Patrick shrugged.

"I was going to go to a Rossmania party tonight, but he canceled it on Twitter."

"Ross canceled a party?" Spencer faked outrage.

"I couldn't have gone anyway." Brendon smiled proudly. "I'm going out on the town with that guy from the party."

"What guy?" Patrick sat up. Grimacing slightly.

"Ryan." They all stared at him with wide eyes and dropped jaws. "What?"

"Ryan Ross?" Joe asked cautiously.

"I don't know. Just Ryan."

"It's Ryan Ross." Patrick told them with a grin. "I left Bren with him yesterday. But I thought Ryan would brush him off or something."

"What's the big deal? Is it because he's rich?"

"Is it because he's rich?" Hayley repeated the question as if she were personally insulted. "Half of this damn school is rich. Ryan is that guy. Ryan is... Everything. I told you about him when we first met. Do you not remember the Rossmania shirts?"

"That's him?! They're the same people!?"

"For a smart guy, you're pretty dumb." Spencer frowned.

"I just- I didn't think about it. Why the hell would he want to spend the day with me?"

"He canceled a party for you! A Rossmania party!"

"I-why? Why did he even speak to me? He was so nice and funny. I didn't know popular people could be nice and funny."

"This is insane! Ryan Ross must like you." Hayley jumped up and down in excitement.

"Or he just wants to have sex with you." Spencer suggested.

"But I'm not gay." Brendon frowned.

"You're not?!" All his friends asked at the same time.

"No." Brendon crossed his arms over his chest.

"Ryan's going to be so disappointed."

"And I'm not going with Ryan today."

"The hell you aren't!"

"I can't! I didn't realize who he was when I agreed to go. And now I'm way too fucking nervous. I'll make a fool of myself. In front of the Ryan Ross."

"He's going to be mad if you don't show." Patrick warned.

"He'll get over it." Joe put in. "He is Ryan Ross. He'll have other plans in no time."

"It's almost 3:00pm." Andy said, glancing at his watch.

"I know." Ryan grumbled. "He's fucking late."

"Really late." Jon sat down beside him.

"This is hilarious!" Pete laughed. "I never thought I'd live to see the day someone made Ryan Ross wait."

"Fuck you, Pete."

"Especially a nobody like him." Gee added.

"Call him." Andy said it as if it were the most obvious solution in the world. And it was. Except,

"I forgot to get his number."

"And he isn't a social media guy. I checked."

"I could ask Patrick." Pete offered.

"No. Ryan shook his head. "I'm not going to dance around fucking circles looking for him. We made plans. He should have been here."

"Maybe he forgot the address?"

"Shut up, Gee."

"I was just trying to help."

"Maybe he just doesn't want to hang out with you."

"Who doesn't want to hang out with me?"

"He's right." Pete agreed. "Everyone wants to be around him."

"Maybe this kid is different. He hangs with the nerds, right? He probably doesn't like your type."

"Shut up, Jon."

Ryan stood from his seat. He rushed towards the kitchen. None of them followed him. They knew what he was doing. He opened a cookie jar at random. Not bothering to see which one it was. It didn't matter. He was going to take whatever the hell was in it. His body perked to attention when he realized it was his cocaine jar.

He needed this one. Because he was having a bad fucking day.
