Star had only been gone to Earth for a few hours with our parents and I was already bored out of my mind being in this huge castle all alone.

 You can only do so much before everything becomes repetitive but I didn't really want to stay here whining to myself and just lazily spread across my bed. So, I did the hardest thing I'll ever have to do and got up and moved. 

After pulling on a cloak meant to conceal my identity I wandered into the town and just kept walking until I heard the crack of a fallen branch and realized I had already travelled quite a distance into the haunted woods, which aren't actually haunted but are infested with wild animals and monsters, and the name keeps people away. My attention was immediately  snapped to the noise I heard earlier and I quickly climbed up a nearby tree and watched for what caused such a sound. 

Now it is important to note that my family has the gift of magic and not much can surprise me but what I saw next left me in awe and almost had me falling out of the tree I currently resided in. In an instant an invisible wall seemed to disappear, revealing a huge kingdom much different from my home, and a young girl in a cloak walking through.

 I only got to glimpse this wonderous sight for a few moments as the new person whispered something so quietly I couldn't hear and the kingdom was once again hidden from my sight.

 A huge smile broke out across my face and as the mysterious figure turned towards Mewni I began to stealthily follow. 

After a couple of steps I felt something on my leg and gulped looking down as I saw a big, hairy spider. Me being me, who is terrified of the eight-legged menaces, begin to ferociously shake my leg and scream. I started to run to get myself as far away as I could from that THING as I could and in my haste tripped and tumbled straight in front of the person I had been shadowing. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" She screamed. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" I screamed right back.

 "Who are you!?" She shouted while I franticly stood and brushed the sticks and dirt from my hair. "Who am I? Who are you!?" I shot back. "I asked you first," she said crossing her arms and staring in suspicion at me. "Excuse me but you're in MY kingdom," I responded. I quickly realized I probably shouldn't be revealing that and quickly covered my mouth with wide eyes. 

"'your kingdom? So you're the queen of Mewni?" She asked me in a doubtful tone. Now that I got a good look at the person it appeared to be a girl around my age with untamed brown hair, peculiar pink colored eyes, and a fang showing. Overall she didn't look very intimidating or dangerous so I decided to throw caution to the  wind and just tell her the truth. I did a small curtsy and introduced myself. 

" I am the second born of Queen Moon and King River of Mewni, Princess Nova Butterfly. It is a pleasure to meet you and may I now know your name please?" I politely asked.

 The other young girl grinned toothily and pulled me into a friendly hug exclaiming, "wow! Its so cool to meet another princess! I am Princess Dawn Therian of the Fantasia Kingdom." After she let me loose from her breath-taking hug I steadied myself and jumped up with new joy and interest. "The Fantasia Kingdom? Is that what was behind that big invisible wall? Why haven't I heard of it? Can you do magic?" I asked excitedly.

 "Woah! Slow down with the questions!" She exclaimed. "First of all you saw that? You've never heard of us because we are hidden, duh and as for magic well not really but everyone in my kingdom can turn into an animal, I myself am a wolf shifter." She explained to with some embarrassment and also pride.

 "That is so cool!" I shouted with sparkling eyes. I thought I had been all over Mewni but now there is a whole new place to explore. "You felt that way too? I have a fantastic idea!" Dawn said grabbing my hands in hers. "You show me around Mewni and I'll show you around Fantasia!" She told me. 

"That is the best idea ever! But if your kingdom is supposed to be hidden won't your parents be mad that you let me in?" I brought up. 

"Like I care what my parents think. You're my new friend of course you'll be welcome!" She smiled at me. "We are friends?" I asked. "Well duh, in fact I'm making you my best friend!" She declared. "Awesome! I've never had a best friend before, not counting my sister that is" I told her in happiness. 

I grabbed her hand and began dragging her to the Mewni marketplace. "Come on! I'll show you where to shop in Mewni and then tomorrow we can meet back up at this spot and you can take me to see Fantasia!" I yelled behind me. 

It was on this day that Nova Butterfly and Dawn Therian became best friends and began to explore each other's kingdoms. Their fates were now intertwined and their journey of discovery and adventure was about to begin.
