After a while of training with various Monstrous Nightmares that we found in the woods, we head back to the cave. "Okay make sure your dragons stay here. We are going to head up to the arena in a few minutes." I say, taking off all of my daggers but one that is on my belt. "We are ready to go when you are Crystal." I hear Hiccup say from outside the cave. I take a quick look around the cave before walking to the others. "Are you ready?" Astrid asks me. "Ready as I will ever be." I say as we walk towards the village.

When we got to the edge of the forest I tell them to go one at a time and very from when they leave. I went first then Hiccup, Snotlout, Ruffnut, Tuffnut, Fishlegs, and Astrid. I turn to Hiccup "Hiccup if something happens, take Nightmare to Berk for me." "Okay, but nothing will go wrong. You trained three Monstrous Nightmares, one more won't hurt." He responds with a smile.

I return the smile. "Oh and Crystal zone out the people who are talking. I mean everybody. Focus on only you and the dragon." I nod and walk into the arena, shaking off my nerves.

Hiccups POV

I watch Crystal walk into the arena. I sigh as I walk to the stands. All of a sudden I was picked up and turned around to face a tall big Viking. "Why were you talking to my daughter." The viking said. I pointed to the ground hoping that he would put me down.

He dropped me and I could breath again. "I was thanking her for fixing a rod on my ship." I said. "Oh, okay, then you can live." My eyes went wide. He laughs and walks away. "Who was that?" Astrid asks from behind me. "That would be Crystals dad." I say standing up and brushing of the dirt.

She nods, and we sit down to watch. Crystal's dad starts to talk about how he was proud that she turned out not to be that much a Hiccup after all. While he was talking I wanted to go over and shut him up.

I look over at Crystal to see her mumbling words to herself. Most likely on what she has to do in a minute. He finishes and opens the gate. The monstrous nightmare comes out and locks eyes on Crystal. She lets out a breath slowly closing her eyes before her eyes fly back open.

She pulls her dagger from her belt, and throws it to the opposite side of the dragon. She slowly walks forward and puts her hand out. Once she gets a little closer she looks away. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING! STOP THIS!" Her father yells. 

I quickly walk over to him and stay just out of sight, just in case he wants to do something stupid to make the dragon mad. The dragon touches its nose to her hand. The gang and I sigh in relief. She did it.

She gets on the dragon and flies out of the arena. I can see her elated face as she lands next to her father. "See we don't have to fear the dragons." She says. I see him pull out a dagger from behind him. I take the dagger from him and throw it in the arena below us. I walk back into the crowed that was forming.

He looked behind him, to see no one. "Dad dragons can be helpful, they can fish, they can protect us, and we won't have to fight them." She keeps trying to persuade her dad.

She finally says something that stops everybody in there tracks. "If you don't try to accept the fact that dragons can be good, then I will leave and never come back." 

"You wouldn't leave. I wouldn't let you. I would make sure all of the ships are docked." He said. "HAVE YOU NOT BEEN LISTENING TO A WORD I JUST SAID! I WOUND'T GO ON A SHIP OR A BOAT I WOULD FLY THERE. ON A DRAGON!" She yells at him with a pleading voice.

That stopped him. "You wouldn't dare, I am your father and your chief you will do as I say." "Won't you at least try to like them?" "Why should I?" "Because they could help us AND the village!" Everybody just stood there, watching, not moving a muscle. "I don't trust the dragons! And neither should you! So there is your answer."

"Fine then here is yours." Crystal hopped onto the Monstrous nightmare and flew off into the woods. I looked around and spotted the gang. they all gave me a knowing look. I saw the group from Crystals class walk in the woods, following Crystal, we do the same thing.
