Crystals POV

I feel so embarrassed for crying myself to sleep last night, but I was just so upset. I am the first to wake up, so I head outside to clear my head. 

I twirl one of my daggers and make a X on one of the trees. I stand a few yards away and each time I throw a dagger my mind went to what I had to do today. And each time I throw a dagger it keeps getting further and further away from the target. 

I sigh. This is doing nothing to calm me. 

"Nightmare!" I whisper yell, not wanting to wake the others. She comes barreling out of the cave. "Come on, let's go and do a lap or two, maybe more around the island." I tell her. We take off.

Hiccups POV

I watch from the trees as Crystal throws daggers, missing every time. She slumps down against a rock. After about a minute later she stands up and calls Nightmare. "Come on, let's go and do a lap or two, maybe more around the island." Once she leaves I go back into the cave. Everybody is still asleep so I decide to start cooking breakfast.

Crystals POV

I scream once we pass the clouds. I lay on Nightmares back and start shouting my problems to the gods above. 

"WHY ME! EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THE VILLAGE WOULD DO IT. ROLPH WOULD, ASTA WOULD, ERIA WOULD TRY, THE TWINS WOULD EVEN DO IT! WHY ME! WHY DID I HAVE TO THROW MY STUPID DAGGERS. WHY DIDN'T I PAY ATTENTION WHEN I WAS THROWING MY DAGGERS. WHY DID THEY CHOOSE ME! THE VILLAGE ONLY LIKES ME FOR WHAT I CAN PHYSICALLY DO! MY FATHER ONLY PAYS ATTENTION TO ME WHEN I AM IN TROUBLE OR I AM BEING A 'GOOD VIKING'! UGH! ASTA ONLY WANTS TO BE ME FRIEND AGAIN WHEN I CAN DO SOMETHING THAT INVOLVES THROWING OR... OR... OR... UGH!" I scream and then I sigh. 

I sit back up and say to Nightmare. "Sorry about that, I just had to let it all out. Since you had to put up with that you can choose if you want to go back to the cave now or take one more lap." She goes for the lap. I smile, and lean forward to make us go even faster.

Hiccups POV

Crystal lands outside that cave with a smile on her face. When she walks in she goes straight to the fish basket. She sits down on her log next to me. I ask her "How was your flight?" I already knew her answer by the way she walked in.

 "It was amazing, Nightmare and I did about two laps around the island..." She started to explain how she felt when she was in the sky "... Its like there isn't a care in the world, its like u are just..." She pauses for a moment searching for the right word, but I already know it. "Free!" She nods her head and says "Yeah, free." She sighs. She looks outside.

 "Hey Crystal the gang and I wanted to ask you something." I say. "What is it?" She asks still looking outside. "Well we were wondering..." I start "If you want to go back to Berk with us!" Astrid finishes for me. I give her a stare that tells her that I wanted to ask her. "What? I couldn't let you have all of the fun." She shrugged. "Well Crystal what do you say?"

Crystals POV

"Well Crystal what to you say?" Hiccup asks me. "I don't know what to say. I mean it would be nice to get out of this place, but I have a job here, and I do that job better than anyone ever has. I am not treated the best by my father, but he still is family. I guess those are the only things tying me here." I say. 

"Well take your time with your answer, we sent a Terrible Terror this morning saying that we were alright and we would return home soon. We just want to stay and support you when you go to the arena." Hiccup tells me. 

"THE ARENA! THAT IS TODAY! I CAN'T DO IT HICCUP!" I start to freak out again. "It's okay you don't have to!" Hiccup tells me. "You can train the dragon." He adds calmly. 

"HOW I ONLY KNOW HOW TO TRAIN A NIGHT FURY!" I start to breath heavy. "Then let us show you how to train others." Hiccup says in a calming voice. I sit down so I can calm down a bit. 

"Can you show me how you trained Nightmare?" He asks me. I slowly nod my head, standing up. I walk over to Nightmare and say "Okay girl act towards me like you acted when I trained you. The day I trained her, I had shot her down. I was about to kill her but then I didn't, instead I cut the ropes and she looked at me as if she was saying thank you. Then I stuck out my hand to touch her like this."

 I go to touch her but she growled "She did that then I said to myself that I was probably going to regret this and I did this." I stuck out my hand and turned my head to look away from her. She moved forward and touched my hand. "Then I looked at her and after a moment, she ran off." Nightmare runs to the back of the cave. 

"Come here Nightmare, you did a great job." I tell her. I turn to see everybody staring at me. "Did I do something wrong?" I ask. "No you did great, it took me days to train Toothless. And it took you a few minutes." I blush and smile. 

"Do you really think that I could do this?" I ask them "I know it!" Hiccup says and the rest of them nod. "Do you know what kind of dragon its going to be?" Fishlegs asks. "Yes it is going to be a Monstrous Nightmare." I say looking at Hookfang. "Let's get started!"
