His common sense and emotions clashed with each other.

His team was the only people who had accepted him, apart from Iruka-sensei. Telling them about the beast had a very high probability of creating distrust and rupturing the teamwork they had toiled months together for.

But then again, they are going to eventually land up in rough patches like the last mission, where Kakashi-sensei would not be able to help them and he may have to call upon his 'other' chakra, and he was pretty sure that there would be questions asked.

So, he hung onto the sliver of hope for acceptance he had as he said, "Okay, Sakura, Sasuke, Tell me, what do you know about the Kyuubi attack?"

Sakura and Sasuke were indeed confounded.

Naruto was nervous. Naruto. Nervous.

To top that, he seemed rather serious, noting the absence of the regular 'teme' to 'Sakura-chan'.

Again this set the alarms off.

Sakura exiting her cursory trance, replied "The Kyuubi, the Ninth and strongest of the Nine Biju attacked the hidden leaf like..12 years ago? That really is all they did teach in the academy."

Naruto sighed. Once again, for the cover of lies, the truth has pays the price. Really, the lack of information is seriously going to be a downfall for everybody someday. (A/N: You have no Idea)

"Umm..the Kyuubi attacked the night of October 12th..or I think... October 10th and the Fourth Hokage killed it using a jutsu that took his life?" the pinkette stated.

Sasuke frowned. He had gained much of his academic posture studying from the curriculum of his fallen clan. And in the very first chapter about the introduction to chakra, as Uchiha Tokumi had explained, the chakra was just energy circulating in coils in your body. But energy can't be 'killed' right? (After all tailed beasts were just malicious densities)

When Sasuke put this point forth, there was confusion.

Sakura politely argued (Much to the surprise of her teammates). Books had been a hearty companion leaving her to graduate as a top kunoichi.

Having someone, a human (even if it is Sasuke-Kun) try to contradict them was an action she would take offense again.

The same could be said for Sasuke, for someone standing against the legacy of his Ancestry is almost a personal insult.

So, even though the heavens did not open up that day, it turns out Sasuke and Sakura can turn up into quite a heated argument.

Naruto looked between his teammates, barely able to relish the uncanny reality that Sasuke was arguing with Sakura.

In an instant, any qualms or worries he had about the outcomes of his decision evaporated like morning mist.
