~Chapter 16~

“You wanted to see me, Hokori-sensei?” Someone said, walking up to the tree I was sitting in. I glanced down, seeing Sakura and nodded. I closed Kakashi’s pervert book with a snap and put it into my weapons bag, jumping down to land in front of her. Chi was with his girlfriend, who he still won’t admit is real. Maybe it’s a boyfriend….

“Yup! While Naruto and Sasuke are training for the Chunin Exams, you want to at least try and catch up with the speedy bastards, don’t ya?” I asked with a grin. She sweat-dropped but nodded.

“Alright! Let’s go! Five laps around the village!” I cheered, making her sigh. I snapped my fingers to hurry her along and she started jogging so I fell into step beside her. She glanced at me with a frown.

“You’re coming with me?”

“There’s not much to do. Kakashi’s with Duck-butt-“

“That’s where he is?!” Sakura yelled, looking relieved and I raised an eyebrow but nodded.

“Yeah. Oh. He disappeared from the hospital, didn’t he?” I mused and she nodded.

“Anyway, Duck-butt’s with the Spoon, Naruto is being trained by some pervert and now I get to train you!” I said, smiling. She face-palmed.

“How can you say that with a straight face?” She muttered and I shrugged, pulling out Make-Out Paradise again. I was almost done.

“You’re reading Kakashi’s perv books?!”

“Yup. I decided to see why he keeps reading these damn things.” I mumbled, finding my place and then we lapsed into silence as we jogged along.

“This book is so perverted.” I mumbled, blood dripping down my nose and Sakura stared at me with an eye-twitch. She was currently sitting on my back as I did one-handed push-ups while still reading the book.

“You’re turning into Kakashi-sensei.” She sighed.

“Hey, I haven’t read this thing over a hundred times at least.” I replied, snapping it closed as I finished. Jiraiya is such a pervert. A good writer, but still a pervert.

“You’re still reading it!”

“Do you wanna read it?” I asked, turning my head to smirk at her and she paled before shaking her head rapidly.

“No thank you!”

“You’re not even a little interested?” I teased, waving the book with my one free hand.

“Nope!”

“Good. Kakashi would probably kill me. If he could.” I chuckled.

“You’re really that much stronger than Kakashi-sensei?” She asked and I nodded.

“I’m an S-ranked ninja. I surpassed the rank of Jonin about a year ago. And when I’m powered up with my Kekkei Genkai, I’m probably with the three Sannin. Maybe.” I frowned, tilting my head. Orochimaru could take out a small nation by himself….I might be able to do that. You know, if I got off my lazy ass.

“You don’t seem like it.” Sakura muttered and I raised an eyebrow.

“What’s that mean?”

“Truthfully?”

I nodded.

“You seem like a drunken smoker.” I sweat-dropped.

“Thanks bunny. I appreciate your honesty. Now get off. I’m already at two-thousand.” I rolled my eyes as she clambered off and I sighed, sitting cross-legged. The sun was setting in the sky and both of us were soaked with sweat. It had been hot today.

“I hope this heat wave passes.” Sakura muttered, wiping at her forehead with a piece of cloth. I nodded, stretching as I stood up.

“Yeah….go visit the hospital tomorrow. Check up on Lee, if ya want. We’ll train the day after.”

“Yes, sensei!” She said, smiling as she ran off towards her house. Probably for a long shower. Speaking of showers….

I sniffed my shirt, wrinkling my nose. I definitely needed one.

“Hey Guy.” I said, flopping onto the seat across from him. I had gone to the Dango Shop for some sweets and he was already here. He looked up at me and grinned.

“Ah, Hokori-chan. What’s up?”

I waved to the waitress, calling for about ten Dango sticks. Once she nodded I answered his question. “Nothing much. Training Sakura. How’s Lee been doing?” I asked, tanking the waitress as she handed me the plate.

“He’ll recover,” Guy sighed and scratched the back of his head before looking at me with a serious face. I raised an eyebrow. This look is rare, “Thank you, Hokori. If Gaara’s attack had crushed Lee’s arm and leg like intended, I fear he never would be a ninja again.”

I smiled slightly, nodding. “It’s no problem. I like that kid. Once he gets better, I’d like to spar him.”

Guy and I grinned at each other.

“How about Neji?” He asked after a moment of us both eating quietly.

I glared at him, seeing his smirk. “You know I hate those Hyuga brats.”

“Yet you like one~” I rolled my eyes.

“Yeah. Just not yours.” He sweat-dropped and I grinned.

“Master Guy!” Someone called and we both looked up. That girl with her hair in two buns and the Hyuga brat had came in. Neji glanced at me and I rolled my eyes, turning back to guy.

“You don’t get a break, do ya?”

“I don’t have another person to be a sensei.” He pointed out and I pouted.

“I hafta be a lone sensei for Sakura! Kakashi’s off training.” I grumbled and he smirked.

“I heard you’ve gotten a hold of his books.”

“They’re so perverted!” I got stars in my eyes, “Yet wonderful.”

He laughed, shaking his head and the girl and Neji sweat-dropped.

“So, who’s the chick? I don’t remember if I was ever told your name.” I said, looking at the girl.

“I’ve told you hundreds of times!” Guy exclaimed.

“Again, you know I don’t listen to your rants,” The two Genin sweat-dropped as Guy cried. I tilted my head with a thinking expression, “Well that’s not true. I listen when it’s about Lee. Any other time I zone out.”

Now the girl and Neji were in their emo-corners.

“They’re turning into Duck-butt.” I mused, making sure no one heard me then glanced at guy.

“But seriously. Answer the question.”

“Her names Tenten.” He sighed, rolling his eyes and I nodded, sipping at the sake I had also ordered. They didn’t have it on the menu but I was a regular customer. Therefore I was special.

“Master Guy, you said you’d train me today.” Tenten said and Neji glanced at her.

“He said he was training me for the Chunin Exams.” I paused in my eating, looking up at the two. They were fixing to start bickering. I sighed, chugging down the rest of my sake and eat my last Dango.

“See ya, Guy.” I said, handed the waitress the cost of my meal and she smiled, walking back to the counter.

“You’re leaving me with those two?” He cried and I rolled my eyes, waving over my shoulder.

“See ya.”

“Nana nana nana na na na na nanananana!” I hummed, twirling around in the training ground I was in. I was so bored. So, I decided to sing to my favorite song. [play the song if it’s up. Play it *~* there’s cussing so keep the volume down if your around parents, kitties]

“Show me how to lie, you’re getting better all the time and turning all against the one, it’s an art that’s hard to teach.” I mumbled, flipping and dodging an invisible enemy.

“Another clever word sets off an unsuspecting herd and as you step back into line, a mob jumps to their feet.” I pulled out a string of kunai twirling in a circle as they all shot out, landed in the center of all the targets.

“Now dance, fucker, dance. He never had a chance. And no one even knew, it was really only you.” I mumbled, jumping high into the air and doing hand signs. Shadow Clone Jutsu. Three more me’s popped up as I continued singing, battling them instead of the invisible enemy.

“And now you steal away, take him out today. Nice work ya did, you’re gonna go far kid.” Fire Style: Fire Shadow Blitz. I thought, doing the hand signs. I suddenly started flashing around all over the place, confusing my clones.

“With a thousand lies and a good disguise, hit ‘em right between the eyes, hit ‘em right between the eyes. When you walk away, nothing more to say, see the lightning in your eyes, see ‘em running for their lives.” I sung with an evil laugh at the end as I sent kunai into the clones, making them poof away.

“Slowly outta line and drifting closer in your sights, so play it out I’m wide awake, it’s a scene about me. There’s something in your way and now someone is gonna pay and if you can’t get what you want, well, it’s all because of me.” I started jumping around again, dodging invisible attacks.

“Now dance, fucker, dance, man, I never had a chance. And no one even knew, it was really only you. And now you’ll lead the way. Show the light of day. Nice work you did, you’re gonna go far, kid. Trust deceived.” I grinned, doing a barrel roll in mid-air and slid onto the ground, throwing kunai this time as I jumped.

“With a thousand lies and a good disguise, hit ‘em right between the eyes, hit ‘em right between the eyes. When you walk away, nothing more to say. See the lightning in your eyes, see ‘em running for their lives.”

“Now dance, fucker, dance, he never had a chance and no one even knew, it was really only you. So dance, fucker, dance, I never had a chance. It was really only you.” I started doing rapid hand signs.

Lightning Style: Lightning Blitz!

I started zipping around the clearing, bolts of lightning sparking every time I appeared.

“With a thousand lies and a good disguise, hit ‘em right between the eyes, hit ‘em right between the eyes. When you walk away, nothing more to say, see the lightning in your eyes. See ‘em running for their lives. Clever alibis, Lord of the Flies. Hit ‘em right between the eyes, hit ‘em right between the eyes. When you walk away, nothing more to say. See the lightning in your eyes, see ‘em running for their lives.” I finished as I appeared with a  fountain of sparks, hitting the ground. I really loved that song. It’s the best fighting song I’ve ever heard.

I suddenly heard clapping and looked up. Shit! I was too distracted to see if someone was listening!

Someone emerged from among the trees and I sweat-dropped. Oh, this is just great….kill me now, oh great Kami!
