Mara's POV

I had just joined a cult.
Not the most glamourous group to join, I will admit, but I just hope it can get me back on track to a somewhat normal life.
I miss everyone so much. Lilly, Daniel and even Samuel!
I wished we still had a chance. This may sound psychotic coming from me, as Sam had attempted to kill me, but I am absolutely sure that those weren't his motives.We never did officially break up anyways, so I might just find him and convince him to just listen to me.
For now, All I am concentrating on is my responsibilities as an official member of the Grangers. They include- Not thinking about my family and Concentrating on my spiritual self.
So far, I was initiated and given some initiation responsibilities like weekly cleaning duties and a dorm-like room to share with my fellow-Grangers, Violet and Cherry.  I admit, the weekly tasks we have to accomplish for "levelling-up" are peculiar, but it is what it is, and moreover I don't have a choice anymore.

Lilly's POV
I landed at the airport and I was extremely jetlagged, not to mention confused too.
In the midst of impromptu planning and packing random objects, I had completely forgotten where to go and what to do. It was the least in control that I have ever been in my entire life. Daniel had blocked me on all social media and refused to even talk to me. He said something about "Mara being my top-priority".
It was so frustrating to see him like that.
Mara and I have been friends since I was seven and she was two . Our dads used to bring us up together and we never realised that we weren't biologically related.
I knew that something was fishy ever since she got into acting, after her graduating high school and me graduating college, she seemed distant. Almost like a physical entity present among us, but her mind distant from us.
As I recovered from being thrown around in the turbulent airplane and the turbulence of my thoughts, I gathered my backpack and decided to take a taxi to a nearby hotel.
Little did I know, the sleep wouldn't be able to prepare me for what was going to happen next...
