True Love
1 Corinthians 13:4-5:
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
What is love? Most of us always ask ourselves that question, or maybe we tend to ask where and when we feel the love. Or how can you say people love you? If you will ask, I will answer that the true meaning of love is Jesus Christ.
Our God symbolizes love—the love that made Him willing to sacrifice His life to save anyone and not to sacrifice anyone to save Himself. Love should be truthful and patient; it doesn't envy, isn't boastful, doesn't dishonor others, and is peaceful, and we find that if we love God. Love that isn't selfish but selfless
Most of the day, we are always seeking to understand what true love is without knowing that true love is found only in God. Love is unexplainable; it must be safe and faithful, like how God is to us. Though we are the reason He sacrificed His life on the cross to save us, he still chooses to love us unconditionally. Even though we do not always choose Him and choose things that this world can satisfy us with, He is always there to stay and to love us anyway. Whether we are full of flaws and imperfections, He is still there, appreciating and telling us how beautiful and perfect we are. Even in our lows, He never left us; instead, He made us strong and loved us.
That is true love—a love that is genuine. Love that always there no matter what circumtances is. We only feel that true love in God because God is love.
