Special Visitor
Special Visitor
Luke 7:16;
Fear gripped them all, and they began glorifying God, saying, "A great prophet has arisen among us!" and, "God has visited His people!"
I remember this friend who's busy cleaning her house in every corner of it. "Are you expecting someone?" That was the question I asked her that day.
She swept away her sweat and smiled. It means she does. While she was busy doing those things, I came to realize certain things. We people are like that. If we expected visitors, especially those we called "special ones," it would bother us to clean our house to make it representable and eye-catching to others' eyes, and we would not hear something bad from their mouths. While thinking so, I've reflected on that and wished we were also like that in ourselves. I mean, clean it well and make it representable when the visitor we expected to come will arrive to visit us—and He is God. God did visit His people.
I hope we are also doing our very best to clean ourselves. Be clean from sins, hatred, and other things that the world made us do that were not pleasant. Cleaning our house is also like cleaning our soul—it needs some cleaning tools to do so. We need that too—we need God to help us clean ourselves—to clear our minds, to clean our hearts, and to cleanse our sins.
After cleaning, I hope we'll become a house that's not only clean to see outside but also clean, shining, and safe inside. If that happens, one thing is for sure: your visitor will praise and appreciate your efforts.
