John 3:16;
16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Scrolling through the internet, there are some posts in regards to a few couples who broke up and told the world about their relationship status. But on another day, week, or month, we were surprised that they were back together and giving each other a chance. It also happens to our friends or anyone else that we know. By that, they label it a "marupok" version of someone in terms of love. People will tend to say or give their own opinions like "Ilang beses na ngang sinaktan, binalikan pa." or maybe "Ilang beses na ngang nagkasala, pinatawad pa." and then that's the time the "marupok" word becomes used to describe a person who keeps choosing someone they love even though they are broken and hurt by that someone.

If we try to keep in mind that word "marupok," there is Someone special who did that to us as well. We can call Him a Father, a Friend, and even our Lover, and that is God. Yes, He is a marupok... but in a good way. He became a marupok for us every day.

God, the Father, gave His only begotten Son just for us, only for us. He nailed Himself to the cross for us to be saved from our sins. But still, we failed Him. He did everything for us, even when we hurt Him. He still loves us, though we forget to thank and love Him most of the time. He's still there for us even though we weren't always there for Him when He needed us the most. He stays for us even though we always push Him away. He's always ready to forgive us, even though we've made many mistakes. He didn't blame us, even though we did it for him. He didn't question our worth, though we question Him if we feel the world betrays us. Yes, He is God-our Father.

God can be a marupok for us without hesitation. He can be a marupok for our salvation. He can be a marupok to help His people and nation. He can be a marupok, and He will always be one.

Are we not shy toward Him? He can do anything for us and made Himself a marupok just for us. Can we become marupok(s) for Him? Are we that ready to label ourselves as marupok(s) for Jesus? Let's be a marupok for praising, worshiping, trusting, and obeying Him. Let's become marupok(s) in His love.

It's better to be a marupok if He is the reason than to be a marupok to someone who doesn't value your worth and leaves you without an adequate reason.
