first Slice Of The Bread
Proverbs 3:15:
"She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her."
I was hungry, so I picked up the bread that I saw on our table and thought about something before I ate it. "I am the first slice of bread," I said in my mind. Probably most of you will be confused about what I am talking about, but yeah, I am.
Have you ever noticed that when you open a loaf of bread, you're not going to pick the first slice because you think it's not delicious and suits your taste, it has a dark color, or it's not perfect like the other one, and a last option if you don't have a choice. So you either neglect it or leave it and pick the second slice. That's happened to me as well, or even to you. Some people will not choose us because they think we don't suit their tastes; we are their last priority; they hate you; they think we are not as good as they are; and they will end up choosing other people than us.
But even if you're the first slice, you must remember that you are special and that bread can't be great without you. Even though people will treat you as an option, remember that you were made with a purpose. If the other bread is unique, sweet, and soft, you are too, and you are worth being on that pile of that bread as well. And like God always says to us, we are precious like rubies, and no one can compare with us.
