Vinnie was thinking about running as fast as she could when suddenly the car came to halt next to her.It belonged to a young man of about 28 with cropped hair, deep set eyes, stubbled jaw and fair skin. If not for the situation Vinnie would have considered him attractive.

"Sorry to scare you miss.I mean no harm." He said from the car."I can drop you home,if you like,ofcourse."
Vinnie didn't know what to do. She was at a loss,nobody had ever asked her that question before,especially a handsome man and not to mention a total stranger.
"Umm,no thanks.I walk home from work daily it's not far.You don't have to worry about me."
Mr.Stranger opened the passenger side of the door smiling and said,"It's no big deal.It would make me happy to help you."
Vinnie knew it would gave her mother a heart attack if she learned that she came home with someone she didn't know all alone, still she sat in the car.
"Thank you so much for trusting me,miss..."
"Connor,Venessa Connor.My parents and best friend calls me Vinnie."
"I'm Michael Blake.Can I call you Vinnie as well?"
"No of course not" Vinnie snapped "We don't even know each other."
"Then may be we should get to know each other." Michael remarked.
"Excuse me?Where did you get the idea that I would share my personal information with you?" Vinnie snapped again.
"It doesn't have to be too personal." Michael smiled,"I know your name, how about your hobbies,where you work or about your family may be.Anything you would like to share."
"No,I would not like to share anything with a stranger.My house is just around the corner,a little silence would not hurt."Vinnie replied rather irritated at Michael's persistence to know more than just her name.
"'Oh okay,I get it." Michael said."Allow me to introduce myself properly,the name is Michael Blake,I'm Managing Director Marketing for Johnson Associates,I live with my parents, grandma, brother,sister-in-law and my niece.When I am not busy at work I like spending time with my family. Anything else you like to know about me? "
"Umm,no thank you. This much information is enough for me.Would you stop here please, that's my house across the street." Vinnie said,happy that the awkward ride was over.
Vinnie got out of the car saying,"Thank you so much for giving me lift,Mr.Blake"
"No need of thanking me.It was nice meeting you, Vinnie." Michael said and before Vinnie could respond he had already sped away.
