Today is the day, I am going to Paris to work with Blue Sky Industries. Vikram and Ricky came to airport to send me off.

"I will miss you." I cried keeping my head on the chest of Vikram.

"I will miss you too, Ri." He said kissing on my hairs and resting his cheek on my head.

"You just have to say and I will stay here with you, Vikram? I said showing puppy eyes.

" Ri, we already spoke on this matter." He said in a strict tone.

"Fine." I pouted and turned towards Ricky.

"I will miss you, Ricky." I said hugging Ricky.

"I will miss you the most." Ricky said, "Don't know why this idiot is sending you away." He huffed. "But don't worry I will make sure your husband behaves well in your absence." Ricky said with a smile.

"You better make sure of that. I don't want him to be struck in any scandals and his photos appearing in the news with a random woman beside him." I said to Ricky.

"Gauri," Vikram said coming to us,  "You know well about me and again you are saying this, you are the only woman in my life and I am not interested in others."

"Really? " I asked teasing him.

"Yes, why do I need others, when I have my love near me." Vikram said pinching my nose making me giggle.

"Okay, be safe you both and I will call you daily." I said giving hug to Ricky.

"I Love You and I will miss you." I said placing a small kiss on Vikram's cheek.

"I Love you too, doll and I will miss you more." Vikram said kissing my cheek softly while ruffling my hair.

The announcement of the flight was heard and I hurried inside bidding bye to my husband and my best buddy.

The flight landed in Paris and I reached the apartment where I am going to stay along with another roommate, who is Ricky's cousin.
I pressed the door bell switch and waited for the person inside the apartment to open the door after a few minutes, the door opened revealing a slender looking girl.

"Hii, I am Gauri." I said smiling at her politely.

"Hello Gauri, I am Anika Mishra." She said giving a brief hug. "Come inside." She said taking my briefcase inside.

As I walked Inside the apartment, I observed that it was a small cozy apartment with two rooms, a living room that lead into the balcony and a small kitchen.

"Ricky told me about you." Anika said once we got settled down in the sofa of living room. "In fact always speaks with me about you, you are the first girl, he speaks so much about." Anika said.

"He is a nice guy and we are best friends." I said.

"Off course, he is." Anika said, " So, you are going to work for Blue Sky Industries."

"Yes."

"It's a good company and gives opportunity for the beginners to learn the best." Anika said.

"What do you do? " I asked, "I am sorry, actually I don't know anything about you except for your name and you are Ricky's cousin."

"Actually I am sorry that I didn't introduced myself to you correctly." Anika laughed.

"As you know I am Anika Mishra, I am working as an Architect in Phoenix. Arc. My parents live in India and I came here 3 years back to pursue my career and I was living in this apartment from then" Anika said. "Earlier a colleague of mine used to share this apartment with me but recently she got married and shifted to California with her husband."

"Ohh." I said.

"Anyways, now I am happy that I don't have to live alone in this apartment anymore." Anika said plopping on the sofa.

"Even I am happy that I am living in a apartment with someone who's sweet like you."

"Aww.. Thanks you." Anika said placing her palm on her cheek. "You are so cute."

I blushed.

"Okay, since we both are going to share this apartment, we need to share some works." Anika said.

I nodded my head asking her to continue.

"We both can share works equally, if you cook, I will wash dishes and vice versa." Anika said and I nodded in agreement.

"I have a boyfriend, Shivaay. With whom I will be spending most of my weekends and holidays. So, in weekends and holidays you can have the apartment all to yourself." Anika said with a wink.

Anika seemed to be a nice girl and I am sure we both are going to be great friends on future. For now I have found a good place to live and Tomorrow I have to see what happens at work.

I spoke with Anika for sometime and then retired to my room, where I am going to live from now on. I spoke with Vikram on video call and he was still working in the office busy with his works. I closed my eyes and soon fell asleep due to tiredness.

When I woke up in the morning, my phone has a lot of missed calls and messages from Vikram and Ricky. I called Vikram immediately.

"Hello Gauri, Are you alright? Why didn't you picked up your phone? " Vikram shooted the questions as soon as he lifted the call, concern and worry evident in his tone.

"Calm down, Vikram." I said even though I know, he won't. "I am fine and I was tires due to journey and was deeply slept that's why I didn't attended your call."

"Thank God, Ri. I was scared." Vikram said as he released a sigh of relief. We spoke shortly about my journey and my new apartment and roommate. Later I bid bye reluctantly since I am getting late for the first day of my office. I hurriedly took a shower and wore a white pencil skirt paired with a peach blouse. I tied my hair into a pony tail and tried to look as professional as possible. I bid bye to Anika and reached my office.

As I entered the office, I saw a middle aged woman sitting behind the front desk.

"Hi." I greeted her.

"Hello dear, how can I help you?" The woman asked smiling warmly.

"I am here to meet Mr. Mehra, I have my appointment in 15 minutes." I said returning the smile.

"Well, give me a minute dear." The woman said adjusting her glasses as she typed in her computer. "Gauri Sharma?" She asked looking from the computer.

"Yes, that's me."

"You can go and meet Mr. Mehra dear, he's in 10 th floor, you can take the elevator in the corner." She said pointing towards the elevator and I thanked her and went to meet Mr. Mehra.

Mr. Shakti Mehra was a kind and sweet person in his late fifties. He welcomed me warmly and said he was impressed with my resume and wanted me to work as his personal assistant. At first I was surprised since I didn't had any prior experience in that but then he assured that I can learn things gradually. I was very happy since I got an opportunity to learn more about business.

The day went with blur as I met my colleagues and other staff, people are warm and friendly. I made a few friends and got to know a few things about the company and people like, Ms. Meera Chatterjee, the lady I met in the reception was working for Blue sky industries since Mr. Shakti Mehra started his career as CEO. She was a kind and motherly figure, who was a mother of two kids and grandmother of 4 kids. On the other hand, Mr. Mehra was a cool and sweet boss everyone will ever wish for, he treats the staff like a family. My initial fears of starting a career in foreign country flew away since I got to make a few friends, Bhavya, the girl who works as a assistant in financial department and Richa, another girl who works in Human resources department.

The day went well without any difficulty and I am glad for it. I returned back to my apartment and Anika already prepared the dinner and asked to do the dishes. After I ate and did dishes, I had a brief conversation with Anika regarding my new company and work until Shivaay called Anika, she excused and walked away.

So, I did the only thing I wanted to do, call My husband. He received my call on the first ring.

"Hey doll, I was waiting for your call." Vikram said and I can imagine him sitting in his office chair smiling into the phone.

"I came home from work just a few minutes back." I said walking into my room and to the connecting balcony of my room.

"Did you had your dinner?"

"Yes, Anika made noodles and I ate, how about you? Are you eating properly or skipping your meals, being busy in work?" I asked in a serious motherly tone.

"I am eating my food on time, Mom." Vikram said in a childish tone making me laugh. We spoke for a few minutes until Vikram's secretary informed him about a meeting he has to attended.

"Ri, I have to attend a meeting in few minutes." Vikram said, "I will call you later, doll."

"Okay, Take care. I miss you." I said in a sad tone.

"I miss you too, My Ri." Vikram said, "I wish I was there with you but you have to do it. Keep smiling and remember I love you. Catch you later, bye." Vikram said as he hurried to meeting, I can hear the way he was grabbing the files as he was running towards the door saying me bye.

I tossed my mobile on the night stand and layed on the bed trying to sleep.
