"Gauri, wake up." Anika shouted through the door, "It's already 8 in the morning! Don't you have office today?" She said tugging at the blanket around me.

"No, I don't want to go to the office. " I cried hiding my face with the blanket. "Please Anika, help me find some other job, I can clean tables, I will play guitar in the streets, I will do anything apart from going to that office."

"Gauri, stop being the drama queen." Anika huffed, "Get ready before that arrogant boss of yours kicks on your lazy butt for being late for the office."

"Please, Anika. Don't remind me of my boss." I cried remembering my embarrassing stunt.

"Gauri, get ready in 15 minutes." Anika said sternly crossing her hands in front of her, "I will head to my office after dropping you in yours." She said walking out of my room.

Why? Why do I have to drink that alcohol and blabber all those complaints. Another reason that I shouldn't drink alcohol.

"Okay, Gauri. Just act as if it was not you but your doppelganger or twin who blabbered all that shit." I said to myself looking at the mirror.

Twin and doppelganger, seriously Gauri! Do you think that Akdu boss of  yours is going to buy that shit? My conscience mocked me.

"Gauri, we are getting late." Anika shouted.

I hid my face in my hands and groaned before walking out of the washroom ready to face my boss.

Who am I kidding, I will never be ready to face him in this life. If I have a chance I will run to Himalayas and take up sainthood.

I stepped out of the elevator after giving myself a little pep talk.

I placed my hand bag and files on the table and sat in the chair of my cabin, when the intercom buzzed making me jump.

"Ms.Sharma in my office in 5." My boss's voice boomed.

That's it I got a invitation call from the hell itself. I didn't even lived half of my life, I didn't even said a correct good bye to Anika. I bumped into my boss's office door deep in my thoughts.

"Come in." His voice came and I entered sending prayers to God to save me.

"Ms.Sharma." My boss said standing up from his seat and walking towards me.

He's coming to kill you, Gauri. Run for your life! My brain shouted but my body refused to move an inch.

"Gauri." My boss called waving his hand in front of my face.

"Huh! " I said looking up at him.

"Ms.Sharma, where are you lost? I have been calling you from past five minutes." He said looking down at me.

"Sorry boss." I mumbled.

"Boss! Just boss? I thought it's Arrogant, Akdu, Douche bag Boss." He said looking straight at me making my cheeks burn red in embarrassment. How I wished the earth to open up and swallow me or I had the power of getting invisible suddenly like Susan of Fantastic Four.

I arrived at my office and noticed that Gauri hasn't arrived yet. Even though I decided to apologize to Gauri, I don't know how to, I mean I never apologized to anyone in my life. Why saying a small word like Sorry is so difficult.

I paced in my office practising how to say Sorry to Gauri.

"It's the time, she should have arrived." I thought and took called  Gauri through the intercom and soon she knocked the door and entered.

She looked beautiful as usual maintaining her professional demeanour.

Doesn't she remember what happened at pub? I wondered.

"Let's check whether she remembers are not." I thought and walked towards her.

She froze in her place as I approached her.

"Ms.Sharma." I called her she stood without any response just like a cute doll.

I smiled looking at her frozen state.

"Gauri." I called out loudly waving my hand in front of her face.

"Huh! " She said looking up at me.

"Ms.Sharma, where are you lost? I have been calling you from past five minutes." I said looking down at her. She's such a cute shortie.

"Sorry boss." She mumbled almost inaudibly.

"Boss! Just boss? I thought it's Arrogant, Akdu, Douche bag Boss." I said smirking.

Her expression was worth watching she looked at me wide eyed as her bubbly cheeks began to turn pink. She immediately looked down looking at the floor.

"What happened, Ms. Sharma, Cat got you tongue?" I asked trying to tease her.

"I.. I.. was drunk, Anika told me alcohol will help me, but I swear I didn't really meant to say anything of that...please don't kill me. I..." Gauri began to blabber cutely playing nervously with her fingers.

"Shh... " I said placing my finger on her lips which felt like soft petals against my skin.

She froze looking at my finger and back at me.

"I am sorry. " I finally apologized and she looked at me like she had seen a ghost.

"I shouldn't have behaved so rudely with everyone and especially you. I regret accusing you that day, I am really sorry for whatever I had done." I said taking a step away from Gauri.

"Gauri... " I called as she stood frozen.

"Either my boss killed me and I reached hell or I must be dreaming." Gauri said looking around. " But why is hell looking like my boss's cabin? Whatever what's the difference both are same, hell." She said.

"Gauri." I called loudly. "You are not dead and you are wide awake." I said smiling.

"You really apologized to me? " She asked surprised.

"Yes, I did." I said, "I was too blinded by my anger that I failed to recognize that I was hurting you all with my behaviour. Thank you making me realize my mistake and sorry for accusing you for something you didn't did."

"I can't believe this." Gauri said.

"Well, come with me." I said and walked out of my cabin with Gauri following behind me still in her shocked state.

I can't believe that my boss just apologized to me! I still feel like I am dreaming. My arrogant, Nandi boss apologized to me, nah.. I must be dreaming. But again it was not dream it was happening for real, I was too shocked to react and I followed behind my boss out of his cabin still processing everything.

I came to a sudden halt when my boss stopped in his tracks and stopped my self from bumping into my boss's back. I looked around and saw that we are now standing in the middle of the office area where everyone are standing in front of us with confusion laced in their faces.

Bhavya was standing in the front line and raised her brow asking me what's the matter silently.

"Good Morning, everyone." My boss said breaking the silence, "You all must be confused about Why I called you all to gather suddenly." He continued.

"Well, it's been so many days since I took over this company and I know I am being hard on you guys all this time but thanks to a wonderful person who made me realize my mistake. So, guys since I spoiled your perfect welcome party that you all planned for me, as a compensation I am organising a party for all of you in this Saturday, the venue and details will be mailed to you. And you guys can take an early off from the work today to get away from your Monday blues." He said and walked away into his cabin.

"It's a dream, Isn't it? " Bhavya asked wide eyed.

"I too thought it was a dream but no it was happening for real." I said surprised.

"Seems like your handsome boss isn't as bad as he seems to be." Bhavya said hitting my shoulder with hers.

"Seems so." I said and soon the intercom buzzed proving me wrong.

"Ms.Sharma, In my office in 10 with my coffee." My boss shouted making me jump and Bhavya laugh.

"Scratch that, Nandi bail will remain Nandi bail. " I said making Bhavya laugh as I ran towards the coffee machine.
