Infern's POV

  I turn around to see the home I lived in for as long and I could remember. Mother and Father stand out on the front porch watching and waving.
"Goodbye..." I whisper, and run into the surrounding woods. I have to find a village before Moonrise or I may not make it in this world. It was a test for all young adults looking to make it in the world from the woods. It was easy:

'Leave home,
And find a new one.'

Even though I could,
1. Fly - 2. Do Fire Magic - 3. Turn into a Phoenix (Reason she can fly)- 4. Turn into a Cat -and- 5. Look like a human. (That isn't all...)
I still had to follow the forest rules, and I thought it would be easy.

I run, run, and run as fast as I can. I look up and see the sun through the trees. Midday. Good, I have time. I grab onto a tree and fling myself up, I jump branch to branch until I can't jump anymore so I sit down to rest. The closest village was in sight. 'I'm going to make it!' And... That's when Pyro (The god of FIRE , she's a phoenix so she worships him, otherwise the wouldn't be able to do fire magic) decided that I had had it too easy and two water mages jump into the trees.
"Oh lookie! It's a little ol' Kit'li!" (Beings that are half human, half cat and grow their tail at the age of 10, Infern is technically half.) I hiss at the stranger who spoke. He was wearing a light blue robe with turquoise stitching. He really must like it... maybe... I can rip it.
"It's time to have FUN!" I laugh and summon a fire ball, throwing it at his cloak. The other one runs away looking quite scared... Odd for a water mage, but it's a good look on them. I quickly sharpen my nails and lunge at the water mage who had spoken. They look shocked as I rip their robe to shreds.
"Don't mess with Infern." I hiss and run off to the village.

Infern's 'Father's
POV

"Are you sure that was smart letting her leave? She doesn't even know one fourth of her power!" My wife asked me for the thousandth time.
"I don't know... All we can do is hope we made the right choice."
"What if we didn't?" She askes, worried.
"Are you asking about her safety?" I look at my wife and she nods.
"You know that girl, she'll fight till she can't anymore. With those powers.... We can only hope she doesn't destroy the Earth."
"If she does..."
"Stop worrying... She'll find her home... And who knows... Maybe even her real parents are there...still alive."
"Maybe..." My wife is still worried, I am too, but not for Infern, for the world and for all that live in it.

Infern's POV

"Who goes there?" Calls a guard from on a wall of the village.
"My name is Infern! I come looking for a new home."
"What can you do for us?"
"I can do many things, I could guard as well heal as I have magic, but I can also spy on enemy villages as I have a cat form."
"Come in and the lord shall judge your abilities young one, but may I ask one thing?"
'You already did.' I comment to myself. "Yes?"
"When did you leave home?"
I look to the sky and awnser, "Fourth High." (In between  Sunrise and Midday)
"Well then, you passed test one, now for the next test."
I chuckled softly, "Well then, I am ready! Bring it on!!"

So... Ummm... Thank you for reading! This is the first time I've posted anything I've written, so don't expect it to be the best thing ever, please!  This chapter was shorter than the rest will be (I hope) and it may take time to post.
