She was ready to pull all her hair off!!

Here she was up on the sacred tree so that she wouldn't alarm Kagome on how tired and frustrated she was.

She hasn't been able to sleep right ever since she first heard his voice.

"Am I going crazy?" She wondered out loud, worried.

The voice kept urging her to go home to him, coaxing her to return back to his arms. The problem was that she couldn't believe it was really Sesshomaru. Was all of this in her mind? Did she imagine his voice because of some deep desire for him to speak to her that way?

"Come home little one, I'm not angry anymore, I just want to hold you"

She gasped and shook her head.

She didn't want to open her link to him. She was ashamed to admit that she was afraid of what she'll find. She was afraid that if he felt her, he could force her to return before she was ready.

They should have left yesterday but she kept delaying it out of fear.

Inuyasha cursed her female emotions that made her weaker. If only she was a male again, she would have run sword first to meet up with him.

She looked down at her small hands and remembered how she could wrap her whole hand around one of Sesshomaru and still have room for her other hand.

She took a deep breath and braced herself before opening their link.

The first emotion that she felt was longing, and then guilt.

She frowned when she continued to feel his emotions crash down on her.

He was lonely, he wanted her back. She felt like I couldn't breathe. Was she feeling the right person? Her brother didn't have these emotions, she was half expecting to not feel anything at all. He must have felt her poking around because she heard him.

"Koneko? I can feel you, come back Inuyasha"

She shook her head even though he couldn't see it. She slammed the link shut and shuddered at the last emotion that crashed down on her from Sesshomaru. He had been happy to feel her.

She sat there frozen for a long time. He had been so happy to feel her.

She felt something wet slide down her cheek.

She frowned, and wiped her cheek, seeing a tear drop. Why was she crying? She swallowed the hard lump that was stuck in her throat. He wanted her to go back to him, she couldn't feel any anger in him anymore, and could she trust him?

"No!" She knew that answer already. He has not earned it yet. "Inuyasha, I think we should pack! We're heading back tomorrow in the morning" called out Kagome from the bottom of the tree she was in. Inuyasha sighed, there was no way she could delay this any longer.

She knew that he was waiting for them, and that she had to face him sooner or later. She just hoped that he truly was not angry anymore and wouldn't do anything brash.

Before heading to the well however, Kagome had a sudden idea to 'doll up' Inuyasha, after Inuyasha told her about what she found out through her link with Sesshomaru.

"I don't think this is such a good idea Kagome" the white haired female muttered as Kagome finished applying some eye makeup and was now moving on to her luxiorous hair.

"Why not?" she asked absently as she took a section of Inuyasha's long hair and started to curl the ends "You said that he wasn't angry anymore right? Well what better way to make sure he stays that way than surprising him with a makeover?"

"Yeah, but what if he gets the wrong idea and decided to....uh...you know...get all touchy-feely" Inuyasha said squirming in her seat as the image of that ran though her head.

What will happen if Sesshomaru did get the wrong impression and saw it as in invitation for something else? She gulped feeling so nervous that she wanted to puke. If she knew her brother like she did, then he would take the opportunity to make a pass at her for sure. She started to whimper softy.

"Inuyasha, it's gonna be okay. I won't let him do anything to you that you don't want to be done" she said giving her a promising look.

She glared at her though the mirror "What do you mean by 'nothing that I don't want to have done'? I don't want anything from the prick!" Inuyasha said hotly crossing her arms over her chest.

Kagome rolled her eyes.

"Inuyasha, I've known you for a while now and I know for a fact that if you really didn't feel anything for Sesshomaru, anything at all, not even physical attraction, then he would never have gotten so close to you to mark you as his mate, you would have ripped his arms out of his sockets! "

The silver-inu opened her mouth to argue but closed it shut and grimaced as she remembered how he had managed to dominate her long enough to mark her. She couldn't deny the reaction her body had from being so close to him.

"Besides" Kagome went on "It's not like I can blame you" then she snickered as she continued to curl the silver hair "Sesshomaru is one handsome looking demon"

Inuyasha groaned and dropped her face in one of her hands while she shook her head at Kagome.

"Well it's the truth! I remember when I first saw him! I was amazed on how hot he was, not to mention powerful, OH and that voice!" she gushed on.

"Okay! Okay! I get it! Can you please stop talking about my brother like that?" Inuyasha pleaded, turning around to glare at her "I really don't want to think about him like that"

"Why not?"

"Do you really need a reason? Well number one: He's my older brother, number two: He's a cold hearted bastard and number three: the only reason he even wants me is to be his breeding bitch"

"But he is also your mate Inuyasha, why don't you at least try and give him a chance to change?"

"Did you hit your head this morning? I can't do that! The last time I let my guard down around him he fucking locked me in his room with sutras Kagome, SUTRAS! besides...I just can't get over the fact that he also happens to be my brother"

"Why?"

"What do you mean why? I don't see you making out with Souta!"

"Ewww"

"Exactly! Ugh"

"But Inuyasha, Sesshomaru is a full demon! it's not like he has the same DNA chain that humans do"

"Huh? What in the world are you talking about?" Inuyasha frowned

Kagome signed in exasperation

"I've done some research ever since Sesshomaru kidnapped you and according to some old folk lore, demons don't have the same blood chain that humans do, our chromosomes are miniscule compared to a full demon, if you had been full blood relatives then I can see where you're coming from, but since you have your mothers' human blood its different" she explains

"But I still have our father's blood" Inuyasha said confused.

"But not his mothers, don't you see? In his eyes, because you have human blood it also means that you have a different DNA chain so he doesn't see you as a sibling. Mating between step and half demon siblings is very common in royal families you know"

Inuyasha thought about what Kagome said.

Sesshomaru had once told her that she was regarding him in human points of view and not demon. He had also told her that had she been raised in the castle along with him, she would have been his mate a long time ago. That meant that Kagome was right in her research.

"Okay, then let's just say for a moment that I could get past the fact that my older brother wants to impregnate me. There is still the problem that he's a total asshole!" She huffed

Kagome laughed at that

"What?!" Inuyasha yelled at her turning in her seat.

"So were you when we first met..remember? You tried to take a swipe at me! I learned to look past all of that to find the real person within and that's when I fell in love with your other self"

Inuyasha flinched when she saw her eyes glaze over in pain. She was remembering the Inuyasha that she lost.

The silver haired hanyo sighed and got up from her seat, and gave her a tight hug

"I'm so sorry" Inuyasha whispered to her best friend.

"I know Inuyasha, I know you're not to blame and in a way I guess this will be easier for me when we finally defeat Naraku. I'll peacefully come back to my time and live out the rest of my life"

Tears fell from her eyes. She didn't want to lose her! She was the first to accept her for who she was. She was practically family, her sister.

"You're the first real thing I have ever had to a family Kagome, I don't want to never see you again" Inuyasha said, her voice breaking up a bit.

"I know, but Sesshomaru is your mate and he's immortal, maybe I'll run into to you in another life time"

The girls didn't talk anymore about the subject, but Inuyasha promised herself that she would do anything in her power to stay near her and help her find her happiness.

"Okay, let's get this train wreck over with, but remember my words when Sesshomaru decides to kidnap me again" Inuyasha said glaring at both Kagome and her mom who had walked into the room when Kagome finished her hair.

"Oh you look lovely dear! " said Mrs. Higurashi as she gushed over her. Inuyasha groaned again, Kagome's mom loves dressing her up.

"I saw this and thought it would look darling on you and since you're always barefooted, it will complement your legs" she said giving Kagome a shiny bracelet, Kagome bent down to attached it to Inuyasha's ankle.

"Hey!" She snapped when Kagome knocked her off balance forcing her to sit back down on the chair she was in earlier.

"All done! You're perfect!" squealed Kagome as she smiled like an idiot.

Glaring at both of them she look down to see the bracelet that they attached to her right ankle.

The bracelet had red and white crystals that sparkled and attached to it was a small charm in the shape of a dog.

"I don't know...this seems like too much. I mean look at me!"

They had managed to catch her and get her into a form fitting red cotton dress that came three inches above her knees with caped sleeves and sweetheart neckline.

The worse thing about the dress was the white crescent shaped embroidery all along the bottom of the dress. It reminder her of Sesshomaru.

"It will be fine dear" said Mrs. Higurashi smiling fondly.

"Yeah right, this dress alone will no doubt get me in trouble with him" I
Inuyasha said as they walked out of the room and headed down to the well.

She had her red cloak draped on her arm, she doesn't know what it was about this cloak, but she couldn't part with it.

She was almost certain that her brother will take one look at her and get all possessive and gross.

But according to Kagome and her mom the best way to get a man to forgive you for anything is to dress pretty and play nice. Inuyasha didn't want to be forgiven, she just wanted to avoid getting killed! So here she was, going back dolled up and wearing a dress.

She put her cloak around her and lifted the hood to cover her hair.

"Okay Inuyasha here let me put these on" said Kagome holding out the beads and placed them around her neck.

Inuyasha frowned. She still needs to wear this damned necklace huh? Well, at least Kagome doesn't scream at her to sit anymore.

The duo leaped up and jumped through the well while holding hands.

"Here goes nothing" Inuyasha muttered to herself as she let the well transport them back to her era and to Sesshomaru.
