The two electric types hug each other for bit until they let of one another, as Raichu then turns to Piplup who also had tears in his eyes, but his pride wouldn't let him run to Raichu, so he crosses his arms and puffed his cheeks

Piplup: Pip!

Raichu: Rai *sighs and walks up to Piplup giving him a hug* Raichu Rai

It took Piplup a bit, but he soon started to busts into tears and hug Raichu back, so Raichu kept a calm face and hugged Piplup, and after they finished the hug Raichu took Piplup and Dedenne to Pawmot, Greninja and Charizard, so they join them

Max: I really can't believe that's Raichu is actually Pikachu

Bonnie: Yeah *turns to Ash* I thought Pikachu hated the mere thought of evolving into Raichu

Everyone turns to Ash who heard what the two, so a sad sigh left his lips as he puts down the fork and knife and holds his hands together

Ash: That's . . . . . one of things that happened in the years that I went missing

Mallow: Well we're all here now, so umm do you mind telling us why you disappeared

Ash: I-I well—

May: You owe us that much

Brock: May

May: I know Brock, but I know even you're curious about what happened

Cilan: You don't have to say it like that though, let him take his own pace

Barry: No, May's right, his been gone for too long without telling nothing to us, we at least have to know why this happen

Alain: *clenches fist* Watch you're tongue there Barry

Barry: You know I'm right!

Dawn: Barry calm down

Ash: No their right *sighs* I owe you guys an explanation and the hole story

???: Then you wouldn't mind us listening to it would you?

Everyone hears a familiar voice and turns to see the other champions, plus Scott and Charles

Cynthia: I believe this is something we all want to hear

Ash: *nods* Alright, fair warning though this is a long story

Delia: *places her hand on his shoulder* We have all the time in the world to listen

Serena: *places her hand on his other shoulder* So don't worry, we're just worried and want to know what's going on, so please Ash . . . tell us why you left

Ash looks at them both and nods again but towards them, as he looks at everyone and takes a deep breath

Ash: Okay, so it starts like this . . . . . .

Flash Back

Ash: *narrating* After Nebby, Mewtwo, and Greninja came to rescue me, I was told by Mewtwo to get on Solgaleo so he could take me away from the battle I had with . . . . . mask

Ash from the past is seen getting on Solgaleo with Pikachu and Greninja, as after they got on Solgaleo starts fly away from the battle that Mewtwo and Maak were having with Mewtwo intervening with Mask sudden charge towards the group that goes through an ultra wormhole and disappear from the area 

Ash: *narrating* Who's basically the guy that made me disappear from the world and you guy, all that I can say about him is that he has beef with Arceus, she did something to him and he didn't like it which started a grudge that has lasted for years and has brought bad luck for many Aura Guardians, legendary Pokémon and does who serve Arceus

We go back to the ultra wormhole and see Ash shedding some tears and quickly wipes them away, but they just kept coming, so Pikachu comforts his friend and nuzzle his cheek while Greninja also comforts Ash by giving him a hug, Solgaleo glances back at them and notices the situation which saddens him to see his father figure go through this, but soon enough Ash calms down and thanks the two Pokemon and smiles at Solgaleo who notices it and smiles back before looking forward again

Ash: *narrating* I had thought that maybe Nebby was taking us to the world of the Ultra Beast, but no he actually took us somewhere I had never expected to have ever planted my two feet on

Down the hallway of the ultraeormhole, it opens up and Solgaleo goes through the light that was at the end and brought the group somewhere that is surrounded by a black abyss, but a large circle platform with blue lines forming a symbol was spotted below the group

It was the HALL OF ORIGIN, the mere sight of it surprised Ash and Pikachu, as they stare at the grounds of the legendary creator that have been said to only be a myth in awe

Ash: *surprised* Incredible

Pikachu: Piiika

Solgaleo descended down to the symbolic platform, and once he landed Ash, Pikachu and Greninja got off his back and planted they're feet on the hall of origin's grounds

Ash: *turns to Solgaleo and rubs his cheek* Thank you saving us back there Nebby *feels Solgaleo lean on his touch which makes him chuckles as he then turns to Greninja* you too Greninja, it's good to see you again

Pikachu: Piiika!

Greninja: Nin ja

Ash stops petting Solgaleo and Greninja un crosses his arms, as both brothers in arms walk up to one another and give each other a high five and then a bro hug that's last for bit before letting go of one another

Ash: It's really good to see you Greninja it really is

Greninja: *nods* Grenin

Pikachu: Pikaaachu

Greninja: *smiles at Pikachu, and gives him a high five* Greninja

Now that pleasantries are out of the way the trio turn to Solgaleo who walks up to Ash

Ash: What did you bring us here Nebby?

Solgaleo doesn't say anything, simply turns to the center of the hall of origin, and the trio follow his gaze and also stare at the center of the hall origin which for some reason attracts Ash, as no one says anything and Ash starts making his way towards the center

Pikachu: Pika?

Greninja: Gre?

The two Pokemon stare at Ash confusingly, but they're trainer doesn't say anything and just keeps walking towards the middle of the platform, so seeing no other option they decide to stay quiet and see what happens, and so Greninja and Solgaleo follow Ash who had Pikachu on his shoulder

Ash: Hmm kinda quiet here isn't it?

Pikachu: Piiika Pikachu

Ash: I've read a few things about the hall of origins, but I had thought it be a little more . . . brighter

Greninja: Grenin

Pikachu: Pika Pi

Ash: Uh huh though if this is Arceus realm, where is Arceus?

Unknown to them, a small figure that is the size of Pikachu lands on Ash's other shoulder, but its sudden appearance does catch Pikachu's attention, as his ear twitch

Pikachu: Pi?

Ash: Is that why we're Nebby? did Arceus send you? *does not hear Nebby, he stops and turns around to see that Nebby had stopped moving* Nebby? *sees Greninja in stance* Greninja?

Pikachu: *eyes widen when he turns to the unknown being* Pi Pika Pi?

Ash: *turns to Pikachu* What's wrong Pikachu?

Pikachu doesn't say anything and just grabs Ash's head and turns his head to the right, where he sees—

Pikachu?: Pikachu!

—another Pikachu, this makes everyone go quiet, as Ash turns towards his Pikachu that's on his left shoulder and then back to the one that's on his right shoulder as he begins to look back and forth between the two Pikachu until he ends up looking at the one that's on his right shoulder smiling down at him

Ash: . . . . . . EEEEEEEH!!!? Why is there another Pikachu!?

Pikachu: Pika!?

Pikachu?: *giggles* Pipipipipipi

The unknown Pikachu laughs at them and then jumps off Ash and start flouting and laughing in the air which shocks the duo even more and more so when it's starts glowing pink and changing its form and turn to back to his real form

Ash: Wait!? you are—

It was a small pink cat like being with adorable blue eyes and long skinny tail, as it stopped giggling and smiled down at Ash

"Mew"

Ash: *smiles* Mew!

Pikachu: Piiika!

Mew: *flouts down and stays flouting in front of Ash and Pikachu* Meeeew

Ash: It sure has been awhile, how have you been?

Mew: Mew *nods* Mew Mew Mew

Ash: I . . . don't think I could understand that, but I can guess you've been great?

Mew: Meeeeew *does a flouting back flip and nods rapidly*

Ash: That's great *realizes something* wait? are you the reason Nebby brought me here?

Mew: Meew Mew *shake her head*

Ash: No? then is it Arceus?

Mew nodded her head and Ash now got confirmation about the reason he's here and seeing that it was Arceus who brought him here, he's just gotta know why he was brought here, and his answer will given soon, as the center circle of the hall of origins starts to glow and a pillar of light hurts from it which makes everyone except Mew and Solgaleo cover their eyes from the bright light, as out of it a large figure was rising

???: Ash Ketchum

An echoing female like voice speaks, as Ash peeks a little, and sees the bourse like body of a Pokémon, red eyes that shine through the bright pillar of light and golden lights appearing to be around the Pokémon body behind it

???: My chosen one

The bright pillar of light disappears and the Pokémon plants his feet on the ground and looks down at Ash, who moves his arm away and looks up at the pale white, gray, and gold being that stands on four feet in front of him

Ash: It really is you . . .

"Arceus" (shiny)

Arceus: It has been sometime hasn't it? how have you been?

Ash: Well *sighs* I'd like to say it's been good, but with what's happened I-I don't know what to think

Arceus: Hmmm yes, I can assume that after being assaulted by Mask things won't be as good as one would expect now would it

Ash: Huh? wait? do you know who Mask is Arceus?

Arceus: That I do . . . . he is someone dangerous . . . very dangerous . . . someone far worse than any of the masterminds you've faced before Ash

Ash: Then why was he after me? what does he want from me? he was deadly serious on defeating and hurting my Pokémon to point he almost brutally hurt Pikachu using som-some kind of psychic ability

Arceus: It is because of the connection you have with me, being my chosen one, but there's to it than that

Ash: What do you mean?

Arceus remained silent when he asked that, so Ash turns to Mew but she also was silent and slowly moved to Arceus side, as they both stared down at Ash and Ash look back at them confused

Pikachu: Pi?

Greninja: Gre?

Ash: What's wrong? what other reason is there Arceus? why did Mask attack me and my Pokémon?

Arceus: . . . . . . . . . *sighs* that is an answer I cannot bestow upon you yet

Ash: *narrows his eyes* Why's that?

Arceus: Because time is of this essence, and you and you're Pokemon most grow stronger, together

Ash: We're training?

Arceus: Yes, I had asked Mewtwo to send a message for me to Mask, and that is to allow you to train for five years, in the arts of Aura and for you to train you're Pokemon, make them strong so when you meet him again you'll be much better prepared to face

Ash: I see . . . . . . in these five years . . . . will I be able to see my friends . . . . my mom?

Arceus: . . . . . . . I am sorry, but you must cut off all communication from all those you hold dear, as Mask will most definitely keep eye on them and we'll know, and I promise you he will know, if you had contested you're loved ones

Ash: *sighs* Okay I-I won't contact them *starts to tear up a bit* wish I was able to say goodbye to them to all of them before I left

Pikachu, Greninja and Solgaleo walk start to comfort Ash and Mew feels saddened by the boys reaction to the saddening revelation, as she turns to Arceus and looks up at her with hurt eyes which Arceus reciprocates, as she looks at Mew and then back at Ash

Arceus: But do not worry Ash Ketchum, for I have brought some old friends of yours to help you and have been wanting to join you for awhile

Ash: What? who are you talking about?

Arceus: You'll see

Arceus eyes glow and three portals appeared to her right with three beings coming out from them, beings which Ash recognizes and smiles seeing them, as the pain had felt disappears and it is replaced with happiness

Ash: I can't believe, you guys wanted to join me? . . . . .

"Keldeo!"

Keldeo: *telepathically* Hey! Long time no see Ash!

"Latias!"

Latias: Laaatias!

Ash: And

"Manaphy"

Manaphy: *throws her arms up and smiles at Ash warmly* Mana phy!

Keldeo: *telepathically* And of course we wanted to join you! after everything you did for us I think
it's time we return the favor

Latias: Latias!

Manaphy: Mana!

Ash: You guys

The three run up to Ash and give him a hug he returns full hardily and with no hesitation, as the others around them smile at the scene that last for bit before finishing, as Ash lets go of them and looks back at Arceus

Ash: This is not what I expected, but thanks you Arceus

Arceus: You're welcome

The three new members group up with Pikachu and Greninja, as Pikachu greets the three and then presents them to Greninja who greets them back with a kind wave and smile

Arceus: But they are not the only ones that will join you *looks at Solgaleo* he will join you as well

Ash: *turns to Solgaleo surprised* You too Nebby?

Solgaleo nods and walks up to Ash leaning his head in front of the boy who stares back at the giant ultra beast

Ash: But what about Alola? and the world where the ultra beast come from?

Arceus: Do not worry, Lunala and Necrozma will be making sure those lands are protected, plus Solgaleo, like Keldeo, Latias and Manaphy, has want to join you for some time Ash

Ash: Then if there's no problem *hugs Solgaleo's head* welcome back to the team Nebby

The duo remained silent for a bit before Ash let go of him and looked up at Arceus again, who out of nowhere summoned four pokeballs, three ultra balls and one ultra best ball, Mew then uses psychic to safely and gently descend them down towards Ash

Ash: *catches the pokeballs and looks at them shocked* This are for?

Arceus: Yes, so you may capture them and officially make them apart of you're family

Ash turns to the three that have reunited with him, and nods to them and they nod back, as Ash then throws the four pokeballs in the air allowing the four that choose to join him to reach out to the pokaballs, Keldeo jumps in the air and taps the ultra ball with his horn, Latias flys up to the ultra ball and allows it to tap her head, Solgaleo is simply tap in the head by the ultra beast ball, and before the last Ultra ball lands on Manaphy, Ash catches it and crouches down to simply tap Manaphy on the head with the ultra ball, as then all four them get sucked right into the balls and wiggle three times and later end up getting captured

Ash: Alright!

Pikachu: Pi Pikachu!

Greninja: Greninja!

The trio celebrated for a brief moment before turning to Arceus, as Ash puts his four new friends away and looks up at her

Ash: What now?

Arceus: Now, you must begin you're training, strengthen you're pokemon and yourself

Ash: Myself too? but how will I do that? I-I don't have the same power Maak has, so how will I match his psychic abilities?

Arceus: By unlocking you're aura

Ash: Unlocking my aura, but I thought only aura guardians can use aura

Arceus: Ash, Aura is something everyone has and anyone can use it, and you Ash hold a lot of aura within you, reserves that match those of a Lucario who is a master of aura

Ash: Wow

Arceus: With the help of you're Lucario and the help of those I will send you in you're dreams, you have the possibility to become the strongest aura guardian that has ever existed

Ash: Re-Really?

Arceus: Yes, but quickly you must leave, I sense that he's approaching this place

Ash: Who? Mask?

Arceus: Yes! *opens up a portal* quickly go through this gateway

Ash: Right! *nods* thank Arcues and Mew! be careful and hope to see you again!

Ash with Pikachu on his shoulder and Greninja beside him run through the portal, as it closes behind them and the last thing they see is Mew and Arceus looking back at them before the portal completely disappears

Ash: Okay *looks around* lets find out where we are

Pikachu: *nods* Pi

Greninja: Nin! *nods*

Ash also nods and they began to walk through the forest in the middle of the night with Pokemon around them and a goal in mind

Ash: *narrating* So after Arceus got us out the Hall of Origin, I basically started my journey from scratch, as she sent me to the Viridian Forest, I started going from region to region of course exploring first Kanto, then Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola, Galar, and lastly Paldea, I trained my pokemon, grew my bond with them, and trained myself to master aura, in my dream I would always meet an Aura Guardian of the past and they thought me all I needed to know, then after that we decided to go somewhere no one would find us . . . . . . . . . Mount Silver, from then on we remained in that mountain, training, bonding, relaxing, preparing, surviving and living until we receive the letter to join the tournament, and so after five years I came back here to come back to you guys and finally defeat Mask

Flash back end

Ash: So? that's everything so far . . . any question?

Ash looks up at everyone and back ups a bit seeing the many shocked expressions from everyone

Ash: Umm guys?

P.Oak: You were in the hall of origin!?

Champions: You meet Arceus!?

Goh: You saw Mew!?

Iris / Cilan: You have Keldeo!?

Misty / Brock: You have Latias!?

Cynthia: You know and control Aura!?

May: You have Manaphy!?

Lilie: Nebby joined you!?

Ash: Uuuh *sweat drops* yeah?

Delia: Well . . . that was quite the story there

Ash: Hehe yeah

Serena: Still *turns to Raichu and sees him talking to Dedenei and Piplup* why did Pikachu decide to evolve into a Raichu?

Ash: It was at the time we were in Mount silver, everyone basically had evolve into much stronger versions of themselves, and Pikachu was losing matches with them more often than not, he trained and pushed himself to the limit and he kept surpassing it, but he's potential did not unleash, so he brought everyone together and told us of his concerns and said he wanted to evolve, I talked to him, but he said that this is what he wanted, so after a bit of hesitation we traveled to alola quickly and evolve him there since he wanted to evolve into an Alolan version than regular one

Clemont: Hmmm I see

Dawn: At least you talked about it except of jumping the gun and just forcefully made him evolve

Ash: It was always his choice to say if wanted to evolve or not

P.Oak: Indeed, though I must ask, why did Arceus hold out when you asked about Mask, it seemed like she knows more than she leads on

Ash: Don't know, and hopefully she tells the truth soon

Lance: Whatever it may be, know you have full support from all of us to help you in this battle

Leon: He's right, you can count on us to have your back Ash!

Charles: The hole Pokémon league will also be there to help

Scott: So don't sweat it

The others agree and Ash smiles hearing that

Ash: Thank you everyone, that means a lot

They spend the night eating, laughing and catching up, and after everything finished the champions, Charles and Scott left, Professor Kukui and Burnet took Lei to sleep, Delia had to also returns to her room for some much needed sleep, so Professor Oak took her away, Barry, Alain, Mairin, Tierno, and Trevor had left as well which leaves only Ash, Raichu, Pawmot, Serena, Brock, Misty, May, Max, Dawn, Iris, Cilan, Clemont, Bonnie, the Alola crew, Goh, and Chloe, as they walk down a street with tall buildings around them

Ash: Tonight seems calming?

Serena: It does doesn't

Brock: *chuckles* When did you start to become all philosophical? actually you seemed to have change quite a bit in this five years

Ash: Guess you could say I grew up

Misty: Hmph! I'll believe it when I see it

May: To me you're still the same Ash

Iris: Still a little kid

Dawn: Yep

Ash: *sweat drops* Really? why you gotta be like that? I have changed

Girls: *they giggle* We'll be the judge of that

Ash: Unbelievable *sighs and shakes his head* hey Clemont how go you're inventions?

Clemont: Absolute fantastic they—

Bonnie: They stopped blowing up!

Clemont: Bo-Bonnie why did you have to say that! *gets embarrassed*

Bonnie: What? I just thought maybe Ash should know you're inventions stopped blowing up since that's what they used to do

Clemont: Well not all the time!

The group laughs at the brother and sister banter and Ash decides to change the subject, as he turns to Lilie and Gladion

Ash: What about you two? everything good in you're family after you all came back together

Lilie: Things have been great ever since father returned back in our lives, if remember mother and father should arrive in a few days

Ash: Sounds great, hey? I remember seeing Shauna with you guys where is she now?

Sawyer: She went with her boyfriend after you're match, said she'd say hi to you some other time in the tournament

Ash: *nods* Alright

The happy vibes were soon going to end when Ash then feels something and stops which makes everyone else stop, as they look at him confused

Kiawe: Everything alright Ash?

Ash: . . . . . . . .

Brock: Ash?

Ash stayed quiet and had his eyes go vigilant, as he look up, down, left and right, trying to find what he felt

Misty: Hey *grabs his arm and shakes it* Ash? Ash are you alright?

Out of nowhere, a sharp object covered in a purple glow was heading right towards them or I should say right towards Misty

Lana: *notices the sharp object* Misty look out!

Misty: Huh? *notices the sharp glowing object head g right towards her*

Ash: Misty!

Misty covered her eyes, but a sudden 'boom!' is heard and she felt nothing her, so she opens her eyes and sees pieces of the object in the ground and a glowing open blue hand in front of her, said hand belong to Ash who got in front of the group

Ash: I know you're out there Mask! show yourself!

Everything got silent and the group got worried, as some even stared at Ash surprised since both his hand started to get covered in aura, but then

A soft, intimidating and scary whistle is heard, sending shivers down many spines, as out of the shadows from the alleyway that was a few feet away in front of them, red eyes could be seen and what's more frightening was the fact that objects around them began to glow and slowly start flouting

Mask: Ash Ketchum

The voice of Mask is heard, as he comes out the alleyway with glowing purple hands, as he made a motion that made all the objects move closer to him and swirls around him

Mask: It's been a long time brat *kept slowly  walking towards Ash, while objects swirled behind him* a very.very.very long time

Mask reaches Ash and gets in front of his face, as he then makes all the objects he had in control drop to the ground and break which made some of the group flinch except a few that like Ash looked at Mask without fear, as he just raises his hand and fixes his hat while staring back at Mask with no fear in his eyes

Ash: It has

Mask: Why don't we . . . catch up? yeah?

Both Mask and Ash stared at one another with no fear, the group began to worry and all of this was happening while the moon was shining down at them, it would seem that a long awaited rematch is going to happen, it's time to see if Ash is truly prepared for the worse or is he ready to face his demons and take them down for good, we'll just have to wait and see
