1) Tauriel didn't die. Like, 7 times, she came super close, but no!

2) Yes, @lotr_love, Thranduil was FABULOUS BEYOND COMPREHENSION!!! When he fights, his hair flies around and afterwords, it'll go back to perfect. His winter crown was small and simple, but radiated power.

3) The book doesn't go into the death if the dwarves, because our hobbit was unconscious, so PJ had free reign to make them as tragic or horrible as he wished. And my god, he did. My soul has been ripped out. Fili's was the worst. 😕 And Bilbo's reaction to Thorin made me cry 20 times harder. People were staring...

4) Do not think they will save favorite characters. They trick you.

5) LEGOLAS RUNS OUT OF ARROWS!!! How did that happen...?

6) You never learn the fate of the elk. He falls and isn't in it anymore. If he dies, so does half our fandom.

7) Be prepared for Thorin to be crazy and creepy with his dragon sickness.
