Hearing the beep of the scanner accepting my boarding pass I went through the gate and headed to the security line up.

Spinning my rings on my fingers I was more than nervous. I could hear my friend carry up behind me and grab my arm.

"girl you need to slow down, you have to remember i'm not a giant like you"

Rolling my eyes because to her 5'9 is a giant.

"Rowan I am not a giant, i'll try to remember not to leave you in my dust" I turned to her.

"thank-you, I appreciate it"

The closer we got to the front of the line the more nervous I got. I couldn't believe we were doing this, it was an insane plan from the start and I was happy when Rowan agreed to come with me. Now I was second guessing my decision.

"i'm freaking out" I turned and looked at Row.

"Brynne, just breathe. It'll all be okay I promise"

Smiling at her I turned back around and followed the line when we started moving again.

Getting to the front we put our things in the bins and walked through the detectors. Security went quicker than expected so we had a couple hours to wait at our gate. Was I really hopping a plane with my best friend to go meet a man i'd met on a dating app years ago?
